Scuttlebutt island

Fireworks lit up the night sky marking the beginning of the festival. Music boomed loudly the beats mixing with the excited chatter of the Gravity falls townsfolk.

I watch the fireworks from my place at the drinks taking a sip from my beer, a few feet away my sister Mabel jumped onto a nearby table using a modified t-shirt canon to shoot confetti over everyone's heads. Candy and Grenda cheered and joined her grabbing some cans of crazy string and streamers tossing them over the crowd. Wendy had joined in spraying the girls with two cans of crazy string, all four of them were covered in different colored strings. Dipper chuckled and drew their attention, they glanced at each other before smiling at me.

"Uh oh" I put down my drink, I started running. The girls chase after me; the first person catch up to me was Wendy, she closes the gap between us with one leap, we fall to the ground

"Give up Dipper we have you" Wendy said faking a manly voice. My sister and her friends stood behind her holding the spray cans like fake guns, each one wearing a "Serious" expression

"Never" Is all I said trying to keep from smiling, Wendy points her can at me

"Then you leave us no choice.Ready girls? .Aim. Fire!" In seconds I'm covered in cold, colorful silly string. The five of us start laughing hysterically, after five minutes our laughter died down. The girls helped me up and I dusted myself off. The crowd hushes down as my great uncle Ford starts to speak

"Three years ago today Weirdmaggeddon ended as well as the end of Bill Cipher's dominion over our world ..." At the mention of the demons the crowd booed and spat, I left not wanting to hear it. Mabel tried to stop me, but hesitated. I went into the shack Ford's speech becoming muffled as I closed the door.

I went upstairs to me and Mabel's old room the light coming from the single triangular window. Sitting on the floor, I looked around the room. The space where our beds were held, and old furniture that belonged to Zeus who kept it here after his grandmother passed away. So much had changed since  weirdmaggedon ended. The shack was a shelter for people like Zeus and many other townsfolk who'd lost their homes.

During that time everyone rebuilt gravity falls, and all over the world people were helping one another to rebuild destroyed cities. Great uncle Stanford now worked for the government as a researcher of the paranormal. He often went on expeditions; with my great uncle Stan, the two had traveled for months before coming back for the first year anniversary of the end of Weirdmaggeon.

Minutes ticked by and the end of my Uncle fords speech was marked by cheers of "to the end of Wierdmageddon" and "to the end of Cipher". I felt a pain in my heart, biting back tears. He was histories worst tragedy. To everyone else his coming to earth was a disaster; to everyone else, but not to me. I heard footsteps approach me, I look up. There standing in the doorway was Ford.

"Hey, Dipper" I said awkwardly running his hand through his greying hair.
"I um, I saw you leave during my speech, and I ... Well I just wanted to see if you were okay" I stare at him blankly then turn away.

"I'm fine" I go back to staring at the window. After a moment Ford clears his throat.

"Uh ... How's college? I heard you got a scholarship." I nod my gaze on the night sky. Ford sighed.

"Look Dipper, I'm not good talk small, but it's been to long since we last spoke ..."

' T here's a reason for that', I thought bitterly.

"... Maybe you could follow me on my next adventure, there's been rumors of supernatural activities on Scuttlebutt Island recently, it might just be small talk but I think it's worth checking out" I try to keep my face neutral as I look at him, but my eyes must have given away my interest since Ford smiled at me.

"Great I'll see you tomorrow Dipper" With that I turned and left. In spite of myself I smiled, all this time and I have not changed ...
But I doubted that was a good thing

I stand up with a deep sigh and stretch, it was time for bed. It was late and I was incredibly tired. I decided to go out the backdoor so I did not attract attention. Pulling my phone out I texted Mabel to tell her I was going home, she was no doubt worried by now. I put my phone away and start walking on the side of the road towards town. The night sky was clear and full moon dominated the sky. There were no cars driving since pretty much the whole town was at the party. The half built structures looked at the twilight bathed in moonlight in some places engulfed in shadows in others.

I finally got to the manor where Pacifica used to live, Fiddleford Mcgucket now owned it since Pacifica and her family have not been seen since Weirdmaggeddon ended. The estate quickly became cluttered with research him and his son did. About what I have not clue, although dozens of papers lie around it looks like chicken scratch to me. I got in with the key Fiddleford gave me and went to up to my and Mabels room. I kick off my shoes and fall asleep almost instantly drifting off into a deep sleep

Running, I was running towards something that's the first thing I registered, but why? And where was I running to?

Then I heard it

"Dipper"

That voice

"Dipper?"

"Bill?" I called out I could not see anything, it was dark, I reached out to where I heard the voice coming from.

"Bill!?" I say again, no answer

I felt a cold hand grasp my own and a hot breath on my ear as an unknown voice whispered

"Come to me Mason Pines, and I will help you find him"

I jolt out of bed in a cold sweat, groaning and rubbing my eyes as I look around. Daylight spilled throgh the blinds and the clock read 7:00 am. Mabel, who had her back turned to me, seemed to be fast asleep still. I got dressed as quickly and quietly as possible then I head downstairs to eat breakfast. I make myself a piece of toast and cup of juice, taking in the view of estate. It would have been amazing if not for the knowledge of how the mansion was built which left a sour taste in my mouth. I thought about my dream, I wondered who it was that spoke to me and why had they said it? Who were they?

My thoughts were interrupted by the doorbell ringing, I went to the gate grabbing my back from the hooks where I left it. I was pretty sure it was at the door, and sure enough it was Ford

"Greetings Dipper" Ford smiled. I put on a smile trying to keep it from looking to forced.

"Good morning Ford"

"Ready for an adventure" He says enthusiastically, I nod and with that the two of us left for the lake. The air between us grew more awkward as neither of us knew what to say, I decided to rather leave a message for Mabel, so she knows where I am. To my annoyance my phone showed no bars, I sighed stuffing the phone back in my pocket. Mabel will probably think I went to find a monster or a new supernatural plant, or something like that. I looked up to see Ford with some headphones and a radar in his hand. Ford does not even look up as we get to the lake.

"I've been scanning for abnormalities, there's been a few, but one signal in particular has been getting stronger"

"So those were not rumors after all" Ford nods

'"Yes it appears so, but what could be making it?" he rubs his chin

"Only one way to find out" Ford and I exchange a look of excitement, Ford dashes to Zeus' ship.

"I called Zeus and asked him if I could borrow the boat for the day." I have tosses the keys to me and I grin like an idiot. I jump onto the boat and put the key in the engine. A rush of adrenaline runs through me I turn the boat sharply and go towards the island at top speed. When we got there I turned off the boat and tucked the keys in my back pocket, following Ford off the boat. Ford began using his device to scan the area.

"Come Dipper, the signal seems to be coming from this direction" Ford walks into the trees and I closely follow, feeling goosebumps and the hair on my neck rising.

"Dipper" I immediately recognize that voice, the one from my dream. I turn around to see no one there, I shivered it felt like someone was behind me.

"Ford did you hear ..." I turned back to see that Ford had disappeared, I look between the trees but there was no sign of him.

"Ford?" My voice echoed in the woods before fading off. No response

"FORD!?" Nothing. I start walking there's a sound other than my footsteps, not a bird or a single animal in sight. I move faster my heart drumming in my ears, to rising panic surfacing. I begin to run forward, blood pounding in my ears. I stop when I hear it again.

"Dipper, I can help you Dipper Pines"

I look in the direction of the noise and see the entrance of a cave, it was wide and hollow stretching for what seemed like forever, getting darker the further it got. I wanted to turn and run, yet I felt a force drawing me in. I took a step forward followed by another until I'm running into the darkness of the cave. The air got colder and colder, I could not stop going, until I heard the voice, no ..... HER voice.

I finally stop as I round to corner stepping into a well lit den, it looked really homey. With a fireplace a large soft looking sofa facing it. There were different plants neatly placed around the room and a large doorway covered by a curtain of beads. I stared at the odd decorations that almost looked like ...

"I've been waiting for you" I whip around to see a woman come through the curtain of beads, she had bronze skin; with tattoos that ran all the way up her arms, and a long strapless purple dress, that went to the floor.

"Sorry I did not mean to scare you" She chuckles walking into the room her dark curls bouncing behind her. Her gold-green eyes boring into my own. I back up a little, ring ringing bells in my head. I regained my ability to speak my tongue feeling like a stone in my mouth.

"I ... Um..No you did not" I stuttered, she smiled at me her shapely lips pulling back reveal perfectly white teeth.

"Come take a seat" She sits on the sofa in one fluid graceful movement, she smiles at me again patting the seat next to her. I sit down feeling increasingly nervous. I speak before she can

"You..said you can help me ..... what do you mean by that?" Her eyes seemed to light up at my question. She grasps my hand leaning towards me so she could whisper in my ear.

"I can help you return Bill Cipher to this world" I jolt backwards staring at her in shock, my mouth hanging open a little. Her mile split into a grin that made my skin crawl.

She lets go of my hand and gets up as the room morphs into a den of nightmares. The curtain of beads became a curtain of human and monster teeth, the plants becoming shelves of bottles of various shapes and sizes, the walls became damp and putrid and the couch disintegrated into a large slab of stone. I jump as the fire burns brightly revealing a large black pot in the fireplace. She turns to me her tattoos glowing an eerie green, she puts her hand out towards me.

"So Mason ... Do We HAve DeAl?" I reach out then hesitate.

"What's the catch?" She smirks showing her now sharp teeth.

"No catch, I just need something from you"

"And what is that?"

"You'll see" I think, there were so many downsides to this, but my head was screeching to take the deal. I wanted Bill back so badly, the thought of seeing him again made my heart race. I take her hand, my hand becomes enveloped with those same tattoos. She walks to the cauldron and motions over I watched as she added things in making the water glow in different colors. I stare fascinated, she plucks a hair from my head and drops it into the cauldron. I didn't have time to complain as the cauldron let out a large puff of black and red smoke. The witch takes a bowl and put some of the potion into it then hands the bowl to me.

"Drink" I look for any signs of mischief in her eyes, she looked at me with an unreadable expression. I take the bowl to my lips hesitantly and gulp the potion down, cringing as the bitter liquid hit my tongue. The witch says nothing as she walks to the fireplace grabbing a small leather pouch and taking some odd color powder out. She belts out an odd chant throwing the powder into the fire, the fire grows before dimming, forming a ring around a large hole. You couldn't see what was the other side, it just looked like a black endless void.

She takes me towards the hole and wraps a gold string around my wrist, the string grew stretching into the portal and into the void it self.

"This string will only be seen by you and will lead you to it." The potion you drank should disguise you long enough for you to get back in. However it will wear off in a few hours and if the other demons see you .. .they'll most likely try to kill you. Good luck "

I take a deep breath and go through the portal, the next thing I know is that I'm falling. My panicked screams turn to cries of pain as my skin felt like it was lit on fire. Eventually I black out from the pain, and I'm filled with relief as I feel myself pass out.

Important note!!!!:
I'm sorry!I never meant for this to take so long, also this is poorly written shit and I apologize.
