Allison is sitting in Jeremy's room and shakes her head.

"Love come to bed."

"Where is he Damon?" Allison sighs and Damon smiles at her.

"More than likely with Anna." Damon tells her and she sighs. "Hey, you said it yourself, you both are strong."

"She's not his mate."

"We don't know that Ally." Allison sighs with a pout on her face making Damon smile softly. "Come to bed."

"Alright." Allison whispers.

"Ally, he's fine. Call him if you're that worried." Allison did exactly that making Damon shake his head with a smile.

"Jer?"

"Kinda busy Lee."

"Are you safe?" Jeremy shakes his head as Anna looks at him.

"I'm fine. Don't worry."

"Hard not to."

"I know Lee. I'm at Jenna's spending the night. I'll be home tomorrow."

"Okay be careful of the tomb vampires, two attacked us tonight." Allison tells him sighing.

"What?" Anna and Jeremy both say at the same time.

"Yup we killed one. Also Anna, pass a message to your mother. If we get attacked again, we will hunt everyone who attacks us down." Allison says and Anna sighs.

"She got it. Love you Lee."

"Love you Jer." Allison whispers hanging up the phone. As Allison was about to set her phone down a notification popped up.

Allison smiled softly shaking her head.

"Ally?" Damon asked seeing his mate looking at her phone.

"Someone made contact again." Allison told him, handing him her phone. Damon read the text and sighed softly. "I'm still yours Dame."

"I know Ally." Damon whispered pulling her into his arms. He held her close and kissed the top of her head.

"Hey I'm heading out." Stefan said walking into the kitchen to see Allison cleaning.

"Want me to come with?" Allison asks smiling at him.

"Sure Al." Stefan says and Allison smiles and grabs her jacket before following Stefan out. "So why did you want to come with?" Stefan asked as they walked through the woods.

"I feel like we've barely spent time together." Allison tells him and he nods knowing she has a point. "Do you have a mark?" Allison asks and Stefan sighs softly. "You do..."

"Katherine." Stefan sighs out and Allison smiles softly at him. "Though she made my life hell."

"Is it complete?" Allison asks wondering how long he had known and if it was complete why she and him weren't together. She got antsy being away from Damon for more than a day.

"No, just the initials KP, but when I say her name it doesn't work." Stefan told her and she nodded her head.

"Maybe Katherine Pierce isn't her real name." Allison suggest and Stefan shrugs his shoulders. "Go catch a rabbit or deer." Allison tells him with a laugh and Stefan smiles before rushing off, leaving Allison in the clearing alone. Allison closed her eyes and opened her mind, listening to the thoughts of the forest. She was able to hear the minds of animals but didn't understand them at all.

While the sounds of nature relaxed her, Allison heard another voice beside Stefan, one she recognized from the night attack.

"Stefan." Allison whispered before rushing to him, in time to see the vampire attack him. "That's not very nice." Allison said holding her hand out and grasping him with her mist. "Who sent you?"

"Let me go witch!" The vampire hissed and Allison tightened her hold so that she could walk closer and trap him inside his worst fear. Once she was sure he was secure, she rushed to Stefan's side.

"Seriously?" Allison whispered seeing the stake and pulling it out. "Stef?"

"Al....shit." Stefan groaned sitting up.

"He's secure, but there might be more."

"Alright, let's get out of here." Stefan sighed standing up. "Frederick, that's who this is."

"You knew him?" Allison asked.

"Briefly. He doesn't have a daylight ring." Allison sighed and lifted him with her mist. "Al?"

"Let's get back home. I'm feeling vulnerable out here." Stefan nodded and the two headed back to the Boarding house. "I'll make Damon come with us so you can get some blood after we deal with this pest."

"No thanks, rather not hear him mock me." Stefan told Allison with a small laugh. Allison smiled and shook her head knowing it was something Damon would do. As they continued on the path Allison kept her mind open to listen, making sure no one attacked the pair and their hostage.

"What the?" Damon questioned as they approached the house. "Where did you find him?" Damon asked smirking at Frederick.

"He tried to take Stefan while he was feeding."

"We can put him in the cells." Damon says taking him from Allison. "Jeremy and Anna are both here, with Pearl."

"Seriously?" Allison shakes her head walking into the parlor with Stefan. "Jer." Allison smiles as she sees her brother.

"Lee, you guys okay?" Jeremy asked as he was listening to his sister's thought, hence the reason he told Anna to get her mom and meet him at the Boarding house.

"For the most, Stefan needs to eat." Allison said smiling at the mother and daughter pair.

"I'll go with him." Jeremy offers and Anna stands as well, making Allison raise an eyebrow.

Am I missing something?

My mark hasn't appeared yet, Anna's mate died.

Jeremy nodded his head as Anna and he followed Stefan back outside. Allison and Pearl starred at each other.

"I apologize for my ward." Pearl says making Allison shake her head.

"It's fine Pearl. I've read your mind." Allison tells her and Pearl smiles weakly. "I also read his. He and a bunch of others wanted to capture Stefan and torture him." Pearl stills and then shakes her head at the idiocy of those that aligned themselves with Frederick.

"Thank you for telling me." Pearl says and Allison nods her head as Damon returns from the cells.

"All locked up."

"Thank you for not blaming me." Pearl says and Damon shrugs his shoulders.

"Stefan?" Elena's voice calls out and Allison shakes her head, not wanting to deal with her adopted sister.

"Pearl do you like photography?" Allison asked leading Pearl down to the basement.

"What is that about?" Pearl asks with a small smile on her face.

"My adopted sister...she looks exactly like Katherine."

"Ah so she is the doppleganger." Pearl says and Allison nods her head in agreement. "Why exactly did you pull me away?"

"Elena has a tendency to assume the worst of Damon and I didn't want to hear it." Pearl nods her head in understanding as she looks around the dark room that Allison pulled her into.

"Did you take all these?" Pearl asked in awe.

"Yeah, the ones in the trays are the new ones, the ones hanging are ones I forgot to develop back when I was 16." Allison told her looking at the old photos.

"Hmmm." Pearl hummed as she walked over to the photographs looking around them. "You have a very good eye."

"Thanks."

"Anyone else creative?" Pearl asked, as she was actually curious about the young mutant.

"My brother Jeremy. He's into art. Really great at it." Allison says with a proud smile. Pearl nods her head. As she looks at one photo, she notices someone in the background.

"Allison, when did you take this?" Pearl asks making Allison walk to the photo.

"I think that was....oh that's the last photo I took before I stopped. 3 years ago." Pearl shakes her head. "What?"

"Katherine." Pearl said making Allison grab the photo and a magnifying glass. "Tree line in the middle of the photo." Allison looks where Pearl told her and shakes her head.

"Damn...she's been watching us."

"She's been watching Elena. I doubt she knows of who you are." Pearl tells her. "I only do because I've seen the marks. You keep them covered, she wouldn't know." Allison sighs and Pearl looks at the rest. "It seems she is only in that one."

"Because Damon and Stefan are here..."

"Yes." Pearl says and Allison sighs. "Stefan and Elena have left." Pearl says and the two head up the stairs. Allison keeping the photo with Katherine in her hand.

When Stefan returned to the boarding house, he seemed troubled.

"You okay?" Allison asked as she walked past his room.

"I'm fine." Stefan lied and Allison raised an eyebrow at him, making him smile softly. "Elena feels the attack is Damon's fault." Stefan admits and Allison sighs but walks to sit next to him on his bed.

"Elena...once she believes something, she's stuck in her ways." Allison said trying to defend her adopted sister. "Our parents were the same way."

"You know part of me wants to believe Elena...but with you and Jeremy in our lives, it's different." Stefan sighs out closing his eyes. Allison smiles softly and leans against him. "Pearl and Damon are arguing..."

"Pearl found someone who shouldn't be here in one of my old photos." Allison tells him as he opens his eyes.

"Katherine."

"Yup." Allison told him and he scoffed shaking his head. "I have a feeling things are going to change fast."

"Why's that?"

"Elena is looking for her birth mom, Katherine was here 3 years ago, and the tomb vampires." Stefan has to agree with the young mutant.

"Don't forget your four other mates." Stefan says smirking, making Allison roll her eyes in joking. "Any clue yet?"

"Pearl says I'm protected, that no one will want to mess with me if they recognize the initials. Other than that...I know one is named Elijah."

"How?" Stefan asks sitting up more.

"The books sent to me." Allison says smiling as her finger traces her right wrist. "Every single one is by an Elijah."

"Wow...I've never heard of a mate doing that before." Stefan says laughing softly. "Is he the one sending you the messages?"

"I...I don't know." Allison sighs and Stefan nods. "His mark is still the same since I don't know his true name."

"Guys get down here!" Damon yells making the two get up and forget their talk for the time being.

"Dame?" Allison asked noticing him pacing, Jeremy, Anna, and Pearl seated around the room.

"Sit down, both of you." Damon says and they both do so. "Alright so what do we know?"

"Katherine was here 3 years ago."

"She wasn't in the tomb with us. We thought she escaped with the both of you." Pearl said filling in a blank.

"Elena is her target."

"Elena's birth mom is a vampire." Allison added shaking her head. "You called Elena a doppelganger....doesn't that require the same bloodline?" Allison asked turning to Pearl.

"No, it does not. But Elena shouldn't have been known to Katherine."

"Is it possible Elena and Katherine are distantly related?" Jeremy asks knowing where his older sister's thoughts are heading.

"We have bigger issues Jer....like the tomb vampires, Pearl can you keep them under control?" Damon asks shaking his head, he just wants to keep his mate and their siblings safe.

"No, I can't. A few want a peaceful life, but...." Pearl sighed shaking her head. She looked to Allison who smiled nodding her head. "Katherine didn't want any of us to live."

"Which means she never expected the tomb to open." Damon groans and sits next to Allison. "I have a feeling she'll get involved soon."

"If she isn't already." Stefan added making them all look between each other.

"Pearl you need to get you and those who wish to live peacefully out of Mystic Falls." Allison sighs out softly. "It won't be safe."

"What about you lot?" Pearl asks looking between the two Gilberts and Salvatores.

"Something is telling me, we need to be here."

"Same here." Jeremy says looking at Anna softly smiling. "You guys though...if you stay we can't guarantee your safety."

"Alright." Pearl said looking at Allison. "You will be the most protected person in this town Allison, but to do that..."

"I need to show my marks." Allison finished making Pearl nod. "Are you sure people will know?"

"Your mates...if I'm right, are the stuff of legend." Pearl said and Allison sighs softly pulling out her phone and texting the number of her possible mate.

Allison shows the text to Damon who nods in defeat.

"You're not a failure Damon." Allison says smiling at her first mate who she will forever have the closest bond with. "My mysterious mate wishes for you and Anna to stay. He says he'll be here soon with answers."

"If you wish." Pearl says bowing her head a little.
