I scented a mouse. I got into a wobbly crouch and spotted my prey while my mouth watered slowly thinking about eating a juicy mouse. Once I spotted it I sprang up into the air thinking about how I fell, but then I shook the thought away and landed on the mouse finishing it off with a swipe at its throat.

"well done Frost paw!" She looked at Fern tail with wide eyes and a loud purr of satisfaction. Fern tail rapped her tail around her paws as she told Frost paw " It's time for all of us to be heading back."
"Ok" she grabbed her mouse and trotted away with a lick of courage that she was going to be a great warrior.

When they all returned to camp Frost paw padded toward the fresh kill pile with her tail held high and plopped it with all the other food. She looked at it and purred. She started to walk toward the medicine cats den to see if her paw had healed so she could run and play again. She called Berry nips name and she came walking out of her den and stared at Frost paw. "What can I do for you?"

" I just wondered if my paw has healed. I really want to take it off, it has been bothering me the past couple of days." Berry nip carefully unwrapped the sticky cobweb of the swollen paw and looked under it to check if it was ok to walk on. "Try to walk on it lightly and see if it still hurts." Frost paw let down her paw and started to hobble on it. "It feels fine to me!" Frost paw said looking excited at Berry nip. "Very well. I think it is better."

"Thanks Berry nip!" Frost paw said as she walked lightly out of the den and by the fresh kill pile to pick out a juicy vole. She grabbed it out and walked over to the apprentices den. Frost paw looked around the camp and saw her best friend morning dew playing with a ball of moss as it rolled over her face and onto the ground where she pounced on it looking proudly at it.

She took a crunchy bite out of her vole and chewed ferociously at the fat piece of prey. Once she took her last bite Morning dew came padding over to greet her. Morning dew was a light brown apprentice she cat with blue eyes.

She sat beside her and asked her if she wanted to join Leopard fur, her, Fern tail and mud claw on the evening patrol. Frost paw nodded her head and stood up to walk toward the entrance of the camp ready to go. Once all the cats were there they lashed their legs and sprinted out the camp and into the light foggy forest.

Once her and her friend both caught a piece of prey the ran to the mentors to tell them. First Morning dew told her mentor, Mud claw about how she did it. Mud claw was a brown she cat with short fur.

Then Frost paw told her mentor Fern tail about how she did it. They both purred with amusement when the apprentices were telling there stories.

Fern tail pricked up her ears to hear the yowling of a frightened cat. She raced up the hill and saw Moon clan patrol in out territory hunting in our grounds. She walked toward the Moon clan patrol and faced him. His name was dapple tail. She raised up her voice and yowled " WHAT ARE TOU DOING IN OUR TERRITORY! Hunting eh!

You have know right by Star Clan!" Dapple tail looked deep into her eyes and let out a low growl of hatred. "Our clan is needing more prey and is getting sick so let us hunt in your grounds!" Fern tail looked at the rest of her patrol for help then Mud claw walked toward the yowling cats with her lips drawn back. She was much taller than Dapple tail so she looked more powerful.

"So you think you can just sneak in our clan, Forest clan, and catch how many prey you want! Well not today. If you go back and NEVER do this again I won't hurt you, but if you stay here and reject my warning you better hope Star Clan gives you hope."
Mud claw stood over Dapple tail and growled while Dapple tail and the rest of his clan and backed away from the patrol then ran away yowling with fear.
