He probably shouldn't have pushed him.
He probably shouldn't have told him to.
But he probably shouldn't have fell.

As the cool breeze blew softly in the room and billowed the curtains, Percy stared into space, wondering what brought him to do it. Do what?
Ask Nico out. Not like the 'date' one, just hanging out. But his heart had other ideas. And now Nico was already on his way to his house.
Percy was already stunned Nico finally agreed to come over, but he was even more stunned when he actually did it.
Doorbell ringing, he was so startled he fell off his bed. Scrambling back up to his feet, he shot up to reach his house's entrance.
He swung the door open and almost fell again at the sight. Nico's raven black hair was even more tousled than usual. Dark mysterious eyes melted Percy's heart, so his wide brown eyes were one of the most dazzling things he had ever seen. His pale olive skin glittered in the sunlight, and it slowly turned pink when Nico realized he was staring.
Breaking out of his trance, blood rushed to Percy's neck, easing their way to his face. "H-hey", he welcomed, breathless. Nico managed a smile, an expression he didn't do often. "Hey Percy" he replied, a little flustered.
Moving aside to let him in, Percy studied Nico's features. He was so dashingly beautiful, he had to fight the urge to hold him tight and make their lips connect. What am I thinking?, he thought.
"So what do you wanna do?" the shorter boy asked, interrupting his thoughts. "Umm.." Percy replied, clear unease swirling in his gaze, making Nico feel a little guilty.
Studying the clock, an idea popped into Percy's mind. "Did you have lunch yet?" he asked Nico.
He shuffled his feet. "Yea- no." Nico responded.
With a smile, Percy continued. "Do you want to go have lunch, and then we can hang out for a while? Afterwards, we can get dinner and come back home for a movie."
Nico's eyes sparkled. "Sounds good."
Grinning, Percy grabbed Nico's arm and hurried him out of the door. He let out a squeak, blush filling his face, but Percy didn't seem to notice. They headed straight to McDonalds.
Entering the fast-food place, taking out his wallet, Percy glanced at Nico. "What are you going to get?" Nico looked at the menu. "Probably just a Happy Meal, since they never work." Percy had to let out a soft chuckle. "Well, I'm going to get a cheeseburger and fries."
He moved to the cashier and started ordering. "A Happy Meal and a cheeseburger with fries, please." As he handed the money popping up onto the screen, Nico interrupted him. "Uh, Percy, you know I can pay for myself right?", he said, glaring at him. He expected him to flinch or look away. But Percy just continued on like nothing happened, with strange determination in his eyes and another look he didn't recognize.
"Wait here, please.", the cashier instructed, her blonde caramel hair seeming hypnotizing. The streaks of red and purple highlights added a better appearance to it. Her deep blue eyes just finished the look.
She handed Percy the trays, and pointed to the empty tables. Silently thanking her, he moved along, Nico at his heels.
The younger teenager scowled. "Really Percy?" he asked, clearly annoyed. Laughing, the green-eyed boy sat on a two-chair table at a corner. He blinked and let himself pool into Nico's gaze. The brown-eyed teen's anger quickly faded, giving place to another feeling he hadn't quite mastered yet. Averting his gaze, he sat down quickly, eager to change the subject.
Stealing one of Percy's fries, he asked. "What are we going to do afterwards?" Pretending he didn't notice, Percy replied nonchalantly. "I have a special idea for us." Winking, he lifted his burger.
With a very noticeable blush appearing on his cheeks, Nico staggered. He pulled his jacket sleeve to his face, in a miserable attempt to cover the red spreading across it. Catching Nico's eye, Percy chuckled deeply, sending chills down his spine.
He didn't even know why he was acting so confident all of a sudden.

"Where are we?", Nico asked.
Still not uncovering his hands from the other's eyes, Percy responded immediately, failing to hide the amusement in his voice. "Not telling you."
Groaning, Nico continued to walk, trying to pry off Percy's hands off his face. Stifling a laugh, the two continued walking through the very welcoming place.
At the sight of the large tree at the hilltop, Percy removed his hands from Nico's eyes. And it was worth it, because Nico's expression was priceless.
The landscape seemed fixed in motion, it's countless trees rooting in the rich earth, it's bushes swaying with the zephyr. At the hilltop of the park stood alone a single tree, with it's mighty branches, large trunk and dazzling green foliage. In the blue cloudless sky was the sun, lighting it's rays onto the terrain, illuminating the dreamy curves of nature.
"P-Percy, I-", Nico stammered, stumbling over words. "T-Thank you..."
Percy gazed at Nico's body. If they were friends now, was he allowed to make contact without setting off alarms blaring in Nico's mind or waving any red flags? Taking the risk, he put a hand on his shoulder. To his surprise, the younger boy didn't tense up.
"Should we climb that tree over there?" Percy asked, pointing at the distinctive large tree. Nico's eyes sparkled with excitement. He nodded, before setting off a chase to it. "Hey!", Percy protested, laughing, before quickly joining him too.
From far across the lush green field, he hears him calling 'follow me!'. And there we go, wondering how the world might look like from up so high.
One foot after the other. One branch then to another. Climbing higher and higher. Climbing till at the peak, the whole landscape is in view.
Sighing, Percy eased his way next to Nico on the branch he was sitting on. The latter was gazing off into the distance, taking in the beauty of it all. Tall skyscrapers were seen at the horizon, when the nature park was moving at a more reasonable distance.
Unconsciously, Percy leaned on the boy next to him. He heard Nico's breath cut short and flinch, but soon enough he let himself ease into it. Smiling, Percy gazed down. They were high enough to break an arm falling, but he was never going to let that happen. Not today.

Back on firm ground, Percy let out a loose exhale, before inhaling back in the fresh air. "It's getting late. We should go get dinner already." he said, not waiting for Nico's answer.
Indeed, the sun was already setting on the horizon. The two teens had spent hours talking briefly and gazing off into the distance. Just the mere presence of each other warmed their hearts enough.
Walking at a moderate pace, Percy stopped at the park entrance. "I wish we could do this more often." he admitted, turning to Nico, drowning himself in those mesmerizing brown eyes. Nico smiled, which he did more often now, and blushed the slightest. He quietly agreed and made his way next to Percy.
On the sidewalk, their hands brushed and Nico pulled back, a wild look of panic in his eyes. But before he could react, Percy grabbed back his hand an intertwined their fingers together. Blushing horribly much, Nico looked up at Percy, his gaze unreadable. But Percy wasn't looking back at him. Instead he was smiling, dazing at their laced hands.
When he looked up, he just smiled, holding Nico's hand tighter.
