Forensic Science
What is forensic science? There are many definitions for this term. The one I learned is that it is the study and use of morals and ethics set by yourself or own company for handling criminal and civil cases.
Forensic science includes various sections such as entomology and fingerprint analysis. These and other sections will be explained later. There are so many things that happen in a case that causes something great or terribly wrong. This means that there are certain ways to handle a case and ways to not handle a case.
Some ways to handle the case are to secure the scene, check for any possible criminals, help those that are injured, collect all of the evidence, take measurements and photographs, record everything, use ink, properly package evidence, and be thorough in reports.
Other ways to handle a case are to be objective, keep personal problems separate from work, dress properly, act professional, and always strive to do your best and help those who are innocent.
Some ways to not handle a case are to leave the scene open to everyone, allow the criminal to escape, ignore the injured, leave behind some or all of the evidence, exclude measurements and photographs, record only some or none of the important case information, use a medium other than pen, improperly package evidence, and be incomplete in reports.
Other ways to not handle a case are to interlace personal and professional problems together, dress casual, act unprofessional, and do everything to ruin one's reputation and hurt those who are innocent.
