Chapter-27 *The Beach Party*✔
*Jessica's P.O.V*
My eyes were drooping occasionally, but they wouldn't close completely as I felt myself on the brink of falling asleep. My body was begging me to take a rest, and I was about to take up the offer when the car suddenly jerked to a stop flinging me forward in my seat.
"What, what?" I jumped up, looking around confused as I heard Nina let out a light laugh.
"Come on Sleeping Beauty, we're here," she giggled, before rolling her eyes as I felt a blush arise on my neck.
"Hey! It was just a nap," I mumbled the last part as Nina swung her door open jumping out, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
You could tell by just looking at her how excited she was. I couldn't help but smile at her as I got out of the car. As soon as I saw the sight in front of me I gasped. My smile brightened when the salty scent from the sea lingered in the air flooded my nostrils.
"Already enjoying it?" Nina spoke from behind me, as she grinned at me.
I rolled my eyes in response and began walking towards the luxurious guest resort. Nina and I were going to spend the weekend there, and honestly I was as excited as her, maybe even more.
The resort had gigantic windows, and the back side of the resort had a view showing the illuminated, thriving city. The front of the resort showed the beautiful beach.
Nina went to the receptionist, signing in to our room. Thank God her friend had booked us a room when she got one for herself. Right now, there is a huge party hosted here and almost all the good rooms were booked. We got our keys, which were just two cards, as we walked back to our car grabbing our luggage. We hauled it inside, and as soon as I slide the key and swung the door open, I was in love.
It was small and quaint, but gorgeous. There were two single beds, with what looked to be silk sheets and there was one bedside table between them. There was a small window, and I unlocked the latch before swinging it open. I welcomed the cool breeze, as it blew in ruffling a few of the papers lying on the bedside table.
The corners of my mouth quirked up.
This is going to be fun.

When I woke up from my slumber the next morning, I glanced over at the clock realizing it was only around six in the morning. I decided not to bother Nina, due to the fact she was so deep into her sleep that she was drooling slightly.
I walked along the silky sand of Coney Island, with the little breeze of wind making my slightly curled hair move in the wind. I glanced around the beach, and spotted an empty chair. I place my beach bag beside it, before grabbing my towel. I laid it across the chair, leaning on it. I was quite glad I accepted Nina's offer. I closed my eyes and decided to rest.
After an hour, I opened my eyes and looked out at the water, noticing there was already an assortment of kids, adults, and teenagers taking advantage of the time. Some were already swimming, splashing one another and others were jet skiing, and surfing the waves. The smaller children were ashore, building sand castles and creating moats to surround them. Despite the fact that I wanted to join them, I pushed the thought away.
"Boo!" A voice yelled in my ear, as I shot up bringing the towel with me. Nina broke into a fit of giggles, as she smiled brightly, "Morning Jessica!"
"Jeez, you scared me!" I sighed out, before she placed the towel down and took a seat beside me. Despite the fact that she scared me, I couldn't help but smile at her goofiness.
"Lovely morning, isn't it? Anyways, I was looking for you everywhere and I couldn't find you at first. Of course you'd be here gawking at all those sexy shirtless men, dripping in water-"
"What?” I asked, loudly. “No, I was looking at the kids building the sand castles. You were sleeping so peacefully and I didn't want to bother you."
Nina let out a booming laugh, interrupting me as I frowned at her. She leaned over, swinging her arm around my shoulder. "I was just teasing you, Jessica. Now I'm glad you're enjoying this. Mission accomplished." She grinned.
I elbowed her in the gut, before we both broke out into laughter.
Later on that evening, at about eight, Nina yelled from outside the bathroom door about joining her downstairs. I quickly finished the shower and went outside for getting ready. I grabbed my bag and opened the small packet.
Around nine that night, Nina came again and started yelling and knocking at the door. I had been in the room for so long, I was surprised, she didn't think I died.
Reason? Well I was feeling self-conscious and uncomfortable.
I wore a daring blood red bikini that was strapless, and crisscrossed in the back. I had slipped on a white off the shoulder crop top, and a black semi-sheer chiffon mini skirt. It showed off my curves, and gave a really good view of my bikini. My lips had a coat of nude lipstick, and one small coat of lip gloss. My hair had beach waves, and even I had to admit it, I looked hot. I swung the door open, and as soon as Nina's eyes landed on my figure her jaw dropped in surprise.
"Damn, I'd tap that. Anyways, who are you and what have you done with my sweet and innocent friend." She had sent me a wink and I let out a laugh.
"Well, Nina, good girls are just bad girls who haven't been caught." I smirked, "Now, let's head out. We wouldn't want to be late, would we?"
She nodded, her mouth still agape, and as soon as we headed out the door she finally spoke. "You know, you're gonna have all the boys on their knees just begging for a taste."
"Oh, I plan to have them like that. But I'll only let them look at the menu, not order." I don't know where my confidence came from, but it felt so natural.
When we reached at the pool, the party already started. People were dancing, some of them were swimming and others were just talking and laughing with each other. I looked at Nina and her friend, Kathy. She was around our age. She had light golden hair and brown eyes with a fair complexion. She was very sweet and a fun-loving person. It was her boyfriend's party, but she invited us all.
I strutted over to the bar, ignoring the gaze of many on my figure. Nina had begged me to come with her to go dance, but I declined. The bartender had his eyes trained on my chest, and I snapped him out of it when I politely asked for a coke. He brought it over moments later and I began to take a sip from it.
"Only a coke?" The guy besides me asked, quirking a brow.
"I don't drink," I stated, looking the tall guy up and down, with a blank look on my face. He gave me a smile.
His grey eyes, unlike many others. stayed trained on my face. "It's your first party." His assumption was correct, and I didn't bother answering him.
"I'm Daniel," he spoke, holding out a hand for me to shake.
I grabbed it, giving it a small shake. "Jessica," I replied, smiling.
"So, do you like it here?" he asked looking out at the crowd.
"It's pretty cool, and I am really enjoying it."
"That's great." He grinned and continued drinking from his cup.
I smiled and turned to find Nina coming in our direction.
"Come on, let's dance," she said grabbing my hand.
"No, I'm okay here. You enjoy!" I replied and shook my head.
"You are coming with me. I won't take no for an answer," she said, and then turned to face Daniel, and smiled. "Hey, I am her friend, Nina. Wanna join us for a dance?"
I elbowed her but she ignored me.
"It'd be my pleasure." Daniel grinned and offered me his hand. "Shall we?" he asked and cocked his perfectly shaped eyebrow.
I hesitantly took his hand and started walking, but not before shooting a glare at Nina. We walked to the dance floor, and when I looked around, I realized we were the only people on the dance floor. I quickly turned around, and my eyes started searching for any trace of her. Then, it landed on a figure. They were smirking at me before they disappeared in the crowd.
I am gonna kill you for this, Nina!
I wanted to run towards her, but Daniel placed his hand on my shoulder and said, "Everything okay?"
I turned to face him and nodded. He gave me a small smile and started dancing. I also tried to, but I didn't get that feeling. Honestly, I like Indian music and being Punjabi, I love to do bhangra. These English songs are not for me. Suddenly, the song changed into a slow number and Daniel took my hand for the couple dance.
My eyes widened, realizing it. Before I could protest, he had already pulled me against his chest. I started feeling uncomfortable as he was dancing so close that I could feel his breath on me that reeked of beer...
Ugh, I really hate the smell of alcohol.
"Um, Daniel." I tried to push him slightly, but he didn't moved a bit. Maybe because of the loud music he didn't hear me or ignored it. It was hard to understand.
He pulled me closer and grabbed my waist harshly. His hands began to roam my back and his legs were still moving with the song. I tried to escape, but his grip was so firm that I couldn't move. His lips planted on my neck, and started traveling down and his hands were under my top. I gasped and narrowed my eyes at him. He winked in response and kissed my neck hard, biting slightly. I tried to push him with all my might this time, but he grabbed my wrist tightly.
"Just leave me alone, asshole," I yelled angrily.
My blood started boiling and I looked around for help, but mostly people were drunk and lost in each other. No one seemed to notice what was going on here as it was quite dark. Only disco lights were visible.
I bent my right knee and lifted it upward to kick him, but my attempt failed as that jerk sensed it right on time and took a back step but not losing his grip on me. I gulped looking at his lustful eyes and mentally started praying to God.
Please, God help me! Please send someone!
He came close, his mouth just a few inches away, but I quickly turned my face and started screaming.
"Help! Somebody, please, help!"
"Shhh! It's dark here and no one can hear to you because of the loud music. And c'mon, don't make this difficult. I know you also want this," he said in a husky voice and glanced at my lips.
"Leave me alone, otherwise, I will call the police!" I shouted and tried to push him hard but his grip got more tightened around me.
"You can try it." He smirked devilishly and came closer to kiss me.
My body started trembling and my mind started to fail, like an engine that turns over and over, never kicking into an action. I felt his breath over my face and it made me cringe. I could hear his low chuckle, a cruel laugh that froze me in my spot, and drained all hopes, dreams, and feeling within me, replacing them with a feeling of despair, hopelessness, and most of all, fear. It choked the breath from my lungs and left my body dry heaving, desperately trying to get rid from all this.
I closed my eyes and prayed again. A tear fell from my left eye.
Please Kanha ji (Lord Krishna), save me. I swear, I won't do this stupid mistake again. Please, Kanha ji . . .
Suddenly, I was set free, as if someone pushed him. Cautiously, I opened my eyes to confirm it and found Daniel on the floor. I saw blood dripping from his jaw and he was laying on the floor, hissing from the pain. I took a breath of relief which I was holding for so long. I looked around to catch my savior, but as earlier, everyone was enjoying themselves.
Who did this? Who saved me?
My eyes went back to Daniel when I heard him moving a bit. He tried to get up but then suddenly put his hands on his head and hissed. His head must be spinning from the pain.
"Ahhh, call an ambulance," he managed to say.
My eyes widened in horror and I swallowed hard when I heard, 'ambulance.' Would they call the police? And what if they asked me about this? What would I say?
Wait a minute! I was the victim here. He tried to take the advantage of me. I shouldn't be scared.
Right, I shouldn't be but I was. I was here for study. I couldn't get myself in such things. It would affect my career. No, I shook my head. I have to run from here.
Screw this jerk!
He deserved this pain. I looked at Daniel once again and ran away to the opposite side of bar. I kept running and stopped when I was far away from the party. I took a breath and turned around. I saw dim lights on the dance floor. I collapsed on the beach and started crying. I kept crying for another ten minutes and mentally cursed myself. Then, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I stopped crying and quickly wiped the tears. I stood up and turned around to see who the person was.
My jaw dropped and my eyes widened in shock when I realized it was him.

Song:- (from: Those dancing days)
Help me close my eyes
I don't wanna see what this day was like
Help me close my eyes
I want to sleep without dreaming
Cause I need them to be true
I want to hide but trees are falling down
I want to hide but mountains are melting
I want to hide but trees are falling down
Let me sleep without dreaming
Help me close my eyes
I'm scared to see what my dreams will be like
Help me close my eyes
I want to sleep without dreaming
Cause I'm scared to see them ....

A/N:-
Hey guys,
After writing the scene with asshole Daniel, I just felt like we should learn few self-defence moves, right? I mean its really important in today's time. I just read an article related with it and thought about sharing it with you;
Learn "SING". This stands for Solar Plexus-Instep-Nose-Groin, the four attack points you should focus on if grabbed from behind. Elbow them in the solar plexus, stomp on the foot as hard as you can, and when they let go, turn around and jam the palm of your hand into their nose in an upward motion, then finish with a knee to the groin. This may disable your assailant long enough for you to get away.
I hope the info is bit useful :)
Anyways, back to story :D
So, who was there? Any idea? Maybe someone from her past?
I hope you like the chapter.
P.s:- Guess who saved her??? :D
Don't forget to vote and comment!
Happy reading.
