Anakin was soon brought to his new home in the Jedi Temple. The little boy was, admittedly, anxious, as he walked into his new bedroom. It didn't look like much, but Anakin was used to that. He did feel cold though, so sleeping under a blanket felt a little odd for him, but at the same time very comfy.

But, before Anakin could get settled into his new room, Obi-Wan Kenobi brought him to meet someone.

"I sense you are still feeling sad about Sapphire." Obi-Wan said.

"I didn't know her that long, but she was becoming my best friend." Anakin said. "She showed me how to have fun and be a kid."

Obi-Wan understood Anakin was upset about losing three loved ones in one day. But he made a promise to Qui-Gon, and he was about to fulfill another task for his master.

Obi-Wan promised Anakin they would somehow find out what happened to Qui-Gon and Shmi, but until then, he would teach Anakin. And there was someone special Anakin was to meet, according to Qui-Gon.

Obi-Wan brought Anakin to meet a fourteen-year-old girl he'd never seen before. She had tan skin, brown hair, and she had blue eyes like Anakin's, except hers had two gold stripes in them.

"Anakin Skywalker, meet Kara Talhin." Obi-Wan introduced.

"Hello." said Anakin.

"You must be the new Padawan." Kara said, kneeling closer to Anakin's level.

"You knew Qui-Gon?"

"He was like a father to me," said Kara.

Obi-Wan left the two kids alone to get acquainted.

Kara and Anakin talked for a while. Kara told Anakin about how Qui-Gon was close to her, and how he always tried to be around for her, but he never explained why he felt drawn to her so much, except that her safety was of the utmost important. And the last time she'd seen him, he gave her a special gift she had to keep safe.

Kara reached from underneath her robes and showed that she had an amulet like Anakin's, except... this one had a red ruby on it.

"That... that looks just like mine!" Anakin pulled out his amulet and showed it to Kara.

Kara couldn't believe her eyes.

"So it's really you." Kara said.

Anakin was confused. Then Kara explained to Anakin that Qui-Gon sent her a message through Obi-Wan, telling him to introduce the two because along with Obi-Wan being Anakin's guardian, he wished for Kara to be present in Anakin's life... as his big sister.

Anakin never had siblings before, but he always wished he'd had one.

While Anakin was getting adjusted to his new life in the Temple, however, there were some other people far away who all sensed a strong disturbance, including two hooded figures in a dark space somewhere.

"Feel that?" said a woman.

"How could I not feel it?" said another woman.

One of the hooded women approached a podium on which stood a book with a symbol on it that looked like two hearts that united a symbol of the sun and the moon. She opened it and flipped through some pages until she reached a page with a picture of a well-dressed couple whose faces had big red X's over them.

"Our time is coming soon, sister," said the first woman. "But first, we need to do a little research and acquire the right recruits."
