Humble Home
You and Todoroki reached the house that was bought by your family for both of you to live in.
Just as the delivery man who was carrying your belongings in cardboard boxes finished doing his job, you and Todoroki stepped into the place, admiring the interior design and the fresh atmosphere it gave out.
A part of the house was in a traditional Japanese style, most probably for Todoroki to get comfortable in, and another part of the house was more country, Victorian-ish style that you were used to.
(Oh yes, beautiful)
"So... this is most probably your side of the house and this is mine.", Todoroki said as he pointed his finger to your side of the house and shifted his finger to his side of the house.
"Yeah...", you said as you didn't really have much to say, however, you were happy that you could at least hold a conversation but it wasn't at the friendship point yet, you two were still in the acquaintance zone, even though you two were married.
To walk away from the awkward tension that was going to most probably appear, you told Todoroki that you were going to explore the whole house, starting from your side first, and then unpack your belongings. He also told you that he planned to do the same.
You ran to the colourful living room that was beaming out to you, as if it was calling out to you, you jumped on the yellow striped, light blue sofa, as it absorbed the shock and bounced a bit.
You breathed in through your nose, smelling the scent of paper, most likely coming from the large amount of books that surrounded you, most of them being books you read before, but you could see some of recommended books that you've seen through the internet.
You thought of what you said to the designer of the house a few weeks ago. You could tell the designer was a thoughtful person, as he asked you what were you're preferences, the kind of atmosphere you would like to have, and he knew you liked books, since you were quite popular as an author.
The designer kinda knew that this was a forced marriage, and he decided to secretly split apart the house into two parts, still connected, but he did in one condition, if you didn't tell your parents.
You were fine with that, at least you still had your nice and comfy zone to yourself.
You brought your thoughts back to the present time, as you stood up, wanting to adventure more of the humble house that you just moved into.
Going through your bedroom, bathroom, and your study room, you realised that there was only one kitchen, most probably for you and Todoroki to share.
You decided to unpack, starting with the boxes stacked on top, with clothes and important belongings consisted inside.
————————————-—————————————————
You gave a long sigh as you stretched both of your arms up after unpacking most of the things, and went to get a warm shower for a little stress relieve and get those germs out!
You walked to the kitchen with a towel hanging on your head, seeing a tall figure, you realised it was Todoroki's, however, it seems like he's calling someone, as he is pressing his phone to his ear, and his other hand was holding a glass of water.
The expression he had. He looked so happy. Who was he calling?
You stood there thinking, Todoroki turned around, going to go back, until he saw you, your eyes met with his, but he looked away, and just walked away like that.
Hmm? Whaaaa?
You still stood there, processing what just happened, but you decided that you can't make any accusation without knowing anything, and it was most probably just his friend or something.
But his expression. The way he avoided you.
You shook your head off to get rid of the thought, got your bag of chips, and raaaaan back to your study room, as you wanted to snack and continue writing the painful romance book that was due two weeks later.
The book was about how the husband was seeing another woman, the wife found out, and left him alone in the dark, as the woman didn't know that the man she was seeing was married, and also left him.
A situation that nobody wanted to be in.
A situation that you didn't want to be in.
Four months passed since you lived in the house with Todoroki, the same thing happened everyday, the call- avoiding you, and he went out early morning and came back very late at night, however, he said no more than one or more words to you.
You already accepted him as your husband, but whatever he was doing was making you feel insecure and worried.
Huh, really it was like what that person told me,
"You can never know..."
