Angela: Prince kissed my cheek, "Goodnight, Angie."

"Goodnight, honey."

Michael hugged him before Prince joined his siblings, who were going home with Katherine and Joseph tonight.

"Are you sure you don't want to go with them, Mike?" I asked my husband who was waving to the kids.

"Why would I want to go with my children if I can be with my beautiful wife and celebrate two years of our marriage?" he said, leaning in for a kiss.

"Your wife that can't actually do anything? What kind of anniversary is that gonna be?"

"A great one, because it may be our second anniversary, but it's the first one we actually love each other, so I'll enjoy it no matter what."

"Aww," I smiled. "You're so cheesy."

He scoffed, but still smiled back.

"Come into bed with me and cuddle us?" I patted the empty space next to me.

"You sure? I want you to be comfortable." he said.

I nodded, "I'll be just fine in your arms."

"And I'm the one being cheesy?" he rolled his eyes playfully.

Michael took his jacket off, and helped me move a little before joining me.

"You're so beautiful, Angie." he whispered in my ear before placing a kiss below it.

"Mmhm, Mike..." I let out a small moan as he went down the side of my neck with his mouth. "You know we can't be doing that kind of thing."

"Doesn't mean I can't kiss you..."

I giggled and pulled away. "Come on, let's talk. Like that time you took me on a second honeymoon, and we talked the entire time of our date, and all night after that."

"What do you want to talk about, Angie?" he questioned, but his lips never left my skin.

"How about baby names? Since we know what she's going to be, I want her to have a name." I told him.

"Do you have any ideas?"

"A couple, but I don't think you'd like them."

"Why not, babe? I'm up for anything, as long as you're happy with it." Michael said.

"Okay, um... I really like Aubrey. I like Madeline, too, or Maddy for short... But I really, really love Aubrey. And maybe her second name could be after my dad's mother, Jane?"

"Aubrey Jane... Yeah, I can see why you like it so much, Angie. It goes well together. Little AJ."

"AJ, huh?" I bit my lip. "Do you like that?"

"Yeah, it fits."

My eyes teared up from the excitement. "So we have a name for our baby girl."

"We have a name." Michael chuckled.

"I love you, Mike." I said.

I must've told him that so many times in the last couple of days, but I just couldn't stop. It's such a relief to finally say it, and mean it.

He kissed my lips, "I love you more, baby."

I sighed happily into Michael's chest, and although I wanted to keep talking with him, I felt myself falling asleep and his kisses that he was still leaving on my neck weren't helping.

"Goodnight, Angie." Michael whispered.

~

Michael: I watched Angela's chest go up and down slowly as she slept.

I did that often at the time she stayed at the hospital, and sometimes I went through an entire night without sleep, just to make sure she's still breathing.

I was so worried about her. I've been here every night since she checked in, and although she wanted me to be home with our kids, I couldn't leave her alone.

She's so beautiful... Gosh, how was I so stupid to betray her like I did?

I caressed her cheek and kissed her lips.

She stirred a bit, but didn't wake up.

I myself suddenly felt sleepy, so I closed my eyes. But as soon as I started drifting off, my phone rang loudly.

Shit.

I rummaged through my pocket, but then realized it's in my other one.

"Who's calling you so late at night?" Angela groaned.

"I don't know, but go back to sleep, okay?" I said, finally finding my phone.

She nodded and closed her eyes again.

Debbie's name blared on the screen. I sighed and pressed the green button.

"Yes?" I asked flatly.

"Are you with her?" Debbie mumbled.

"She's sleeping." I told her.

"Good," I could feel the smile on her face. "Listen, I have an appointment tomorrow at my doctor's, if you'd like to join me."

"I can't. Angela is at the hospital."

"Still? I hope she'll be okay, Mike."

My eyes closed and I listened to the heart monitor that Angela was hooked to. "Yeah, me too. Listen, Debbie, I gotta go... I was just starting to sleep when you called."

"Oh, okay... Do you want me to send you the ultrasound pictures?" Debbie offered.

"Yeah, sure. I'd love to see them." I smiled when I realized it's pictures of my baby that she'll be sending.

"You got it. Goodnight, Michael."

"Goodnight, Debbie."

I hung up and put the phone back in my pocket.

My hand traveled to Angela's small bump, making my smile widen.

"Don't worry, AJ," I whispered. "You're still daddy's baby. I love you."

Michael: "Mr. Jackson... Mr. Jackson, I'm gonna need you to wake up." I heard vaguely.

"Huh?" I rubbed my eyes.

"I'm sorry I have to do this, but the hospital policy says you can't sleep in the same bed with a patient." a nurse said.

"Oh, Angela just wanted to cuddle, and then we fell asleep."

She smiled slightly. "I guess I could ignore it this once, but only if you wake her up. Dr. Rhodes should be here in a few minutes to check on her."

I nodded and she left. Then, I sat up, only to be pulled back by Angela.

"No, Mike, stay..." my wife pleaded.

"I can't, and you gotta get up. Dr. Rhodes is coming."

"But I'm so tired..."

I rubbed her back gently, "Come on, you can keep sleeping when he's gone."

"No, I can't," she groaned. "Everyone is going to be here soon."

"For what?" I raised my eyebrows.

"It's Blanket's birthday... He's turning 5 today."

"He is?" I gasped.

"Yeah, it's the 21st... Yesterday was our anniversary..."

"I'm the worst daddy ever."

"Don't say that, you're the most amazing father. But it's a good thing I'm here," Angela giggled. "Don't worry, my mom is picking up a cake for him and a couple of presents I told her to buy. It's all set. All you have to do is give him the biggest hug ever."

I sighed in relief, "You are the best mommy anyone could ask for. I can't believe I forgot about his birthday."

"With everything going on, it's natural you'd forget, Mike. Don't beat yourself up about it. Now help me get to the bathroom."

I hurried to give her her walking frame so she could walk on her own.

"I feel old." Angela muttered.

"At least I'll know you'll be a very hot grandma." I joked.

She rolled her eyes at me until we reached the bathroom.

"You want me to help you?" I asked.

My wife shook her head, "I'll be fine."

I closed the door after her and sighed.

A knock on the door made me look at it, then Dr. Rhodes came in.

"Good morning, Michael. I heard from nurse Izzy you got a good night's sleep." he smirked when we shook hands.

"Uh, yeah..." I scratched the back of my neck.

"That's okay," the doctor smiled. "Oh, I've got some great news! Since Angela's been doing so well, I think she could be discharged today. All I have to do is check on her one last time to make sure, and fill out the discharge papers, then you're free to go."

"Really? Today?"

"Yeah."

"That's really great." I said excitedly.

"Is there a special occasion?" Dr. Rhodes asked.

"It's our son's fifth birthday." I answered.

Just as I said that, Angela opened the bathroom door and made her way out.

"Hey, Dr. Rhodes." she gave him a small smile and started walking back to the bed.

"He said you might be able to be discharged today." I told her, helping her lay down.

"Then go call your mother and tell her to keep the kids at home."

I kissed her lips, "I'll be right back, baby."

~

Angela: "That was perfect, Angela. But remember, no walking around too much, and if you do, you have to support your body. Your lung isn't completely healed, so just be careful. I don't want to see you here again."

Dr. Rhodes let me pull my robe back on, and said he's going to get the discharge papers for me to sign.

Michael walked in just as the doctor left, the look on his face saying he wanted to know.

"I'm going home." I told him.

"Yay! Oh, Blanket's gonna be so happy!" he exclaimed.

"Come on, help me get dressed. I want to be out of here as soon as we sign those papers."

He showed me that beautiful smile of his before helping me sit up, and getting my clothes for me.

~

"But why can't we go see mom?" I heard Eric ask, sounding disappointed.

Michael helped me walk to his parents' living room, where the kids all looked sad, but Blanket especially.

"I thought we're having my birthday at mommy's room." he said.

I chuckled, "Hey, guys."

They all looked surprised.

"Mommy!" Blanket squealed. "What are you doing here?"

"Mommy got to leave the hospital early. Just for your birthday, baby." I smiled.

He wanted to hug me, but Michael told him that's not a very good idea.

"But daddy..." he whined.

"Maybe just a little hug, Mike?"

"Sorry, doctor's orders," Michael sighed and picked him up. "But come on, Blanket, we need to get home so we could celebrate your birthday!"

~

After the very long day we've had, Blanket asked Michael and I to sleep with us, saying he missed the both of us so much.

"Mommy?" Blanket whispered so Michael, who was asleep, wouldn't wake up. "You love daddy, right?"

"Of course I do, baby." I said, removing a strand of long hair away from his face.

"So you can't hate him?"

"Now, why would I hate him? Your daddy is the best."

"I think daddy made a mistake, and he's scared that you'll hate him." Blanket removed his eyes from mine, and looked down.

What is he talking about?

"A mistake? What do you mean, Blanket?" I asked.

He shook his head, "Nevermind, mommy. I'm tired, can we go to sleep?"

Blanket closed his eyes and put his head against my chest.

"Baby," I sighed. "Tell me. Please?"

He didn't answer, and instead just made himself more comfortable.

I looked over at Michael who had his back turned to us, his shoulders going up and down as he slept.

What did you do, Michael?
