Chapter 10 - Another One
I finally had inspiration to write... Gosh, I'm so sorry, but Prince's death hit me so hard.
I've been listening to him non-stop and crying, too.
But I am feeling better, I took all my sadness out on a canvas... Look at what I did, not done yet, but it's getting there.
I hope all of you Prince fans out there feel better, too 💜
And I'm going back a little in time in this chapter, to when Angela and Michael first met. Hope you enjoy 😘

29th of August, 1994
Michael is 36, Angela is 30, and Jake is 31
Angela: "You ready, baby?" Jake asked, walking into our bedroom.
I just recently moved in, and was so happy to finally live with him.
"Yeah, I guess." I answered.
He smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist, "You look amazing. Perfect to meet my friend."
"Your friend that I still don't know anything about." I turned around to face him.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll love him." he placed a long kiss on my lips.
After a while, I felt his hands on my ass and he pulled me closer, until there was no gap between us.
I tugged on his shirt, but he stopped me.
"We have to leave or else we'll be late..." he whispered.
"But, Jakey, I want you." I said seductively and kissed him again.
"Sorry, baby. Tonight I promise to treat you right, but right now we gotta go."
I sighed, letting go of him. "Okay..."
"Angie, don't make that face. You know I can't stand that face, you're too cute." Jake told me.
"I'm sorry..." I pouted my bottom lip out even more.
"That's it, get in the car."
I laughed to myself as he left the room with an unmissable boner in his pants.
"Where are you going?" I asked, still laughing.
"To take care of this!" Jake answered.
"Why go all by yourself when I can help?"
"Because you caused this!"
I was now laughing so hard I was sure my makeup was ruined.
~
"Seriously, Jake, where are we going? Why the hell are we all the way in Santa Ynez?" I questioned.
"You'll just have to wait and see. We're almost there." Jake told me.
After a few more moments, we reached huge gates that had 'Neverland' engraved in gold above them.
"We're here," my boyfriend announce. "Welcome to Neverland, baby."
"Neverland as in Neverland ranch, as in Michael Jackson's home? How in the world do you know Michael freaking Jackson?"
"Remember when I told you that last year, in the rehab center I work for, someone really famous was checked in?"
"Was that... Him?"
"Yeah," Jake sighed. "He was in such an awful state, Ange. And since I've been pretty successful with helping other patients heal and get better, they chose me to be on the team that took care of Michael."
Jake told me about the way he treated people. He gets to know them so they could trust him, and slowly helps them through the process.
"I have deep connections with most of my patients, but with Michael... It was different. We really bonded, and I got to know who he really is."
"How come you never told me?" I asked, a little disappointed.
"I don't know..." he shrugged. "You never listened to his music, so I assumed you don't really like him. But it's his birthday today, and he's having a party that his wife organized... My invitation said I could have a plus one, and obviously you're mine."
I smiled and kissed him. A party that was organized by Lisa Marie Presley for Michael Jackson could not be a horrible party. Why not have some fun?
~
Michael: "Lisa, where's Jake?" I asked, looking at my watch for the millionth time this evening.
"He should be here already... I'm sure he's here somewhere." Lisa Marie said.
"If he was here he would've found me already."
Then I spotted a head full of black hair through all the people that came. I smiled widely when Jake approached me with a smile on as well.
He hugged me tightly, "Happy birthday, Mike."
"Thank you."
Someone cleared their throat behind Jake, and I saw who I assumed was Angela. Only by the way Jake described her I understood it was her.
"Oh, Michael, this is Angela... Angie, this is Michael." Jake smiled.
We shook hands, and then I heard Lisa's voice.
"Hey, babe," she kissed my cheek. "Hey, Jake."
"You look good, Lisa." Jake complimented.
"Thanks," my wife blushed. "And who's this?"
"My girlfriend, Angela. Baby, this is Lisa Marie Presley."
"It's Presley-Jackson." I said and wrapped an arm around Lisa's shoulders.
"My pleasure to meet you both." Angela smiled.
"Come on, Angela, I'll show you around." Lisa got out of my hold and dragged Angela with her.
Jake laughed at the two girls, then turned to me. "Well?"
"What?" I scrunched my eyebrows.
"She's something, isn't she?"
"Angela? Yeah, she's okay."
"Just okay?" Jake frowned.
"I'm a married man, and she's not really my taste." I shrugged.
"Right, I forgot you only date celebrities."
I hit his shoulder and rolled my eyes.
"So what does it feel like to be 4 years closer to 40?" he smirked.
"Awful. I'm so old." I said.
"You can say that again. My mom's pressuring me to marry Angela. We've only been together for like, 6 months."
"Lisa and I got married after 3 months."
"But you and Lisa wanted to settle down... I don't know, I'm not looking forward to being a husband anytime soon."
"You'll absolutely love it, especially if you marry someone you really care for." I told him, looking at Lisa who was showing Angela around the living room.
"Are we gonna keep talking about marriage or are you gonna get me some drinks?" Jake asked.
I shook my head, "You don't even drink."
"Who cares, I'm thirsty, and I don't want to talk about me marrying someone anytime soon."
He headed for the kitchen and I followed, making a mental note not to have too many drinks myself.

1st of June, 2006
Michael is 47, Angela is 42
Michael: Angela pushed the twins' stroller through the baby shop that was closed just for us.
"You're lucky I'm not pregnant again, or else we would've needed clothes for me, too." she said.
I kissed her cheek and kept searching for clothes for the babies.
They were growing rapidly, and needed more onesies, shirts, and cute little pants.
With every day that passed, Rose looked more like her mother and Jared was inheriting my side of the family.
"Oh, they need pretty clothes, too... For the photoshoot. I can't believe we're actually exposing them already. It's fun having them all to ourselves," Angela sighed. "Are you sure we can't do it in a month, maybe a year from now...?"
I chuckled, "I promised the press we'd introduce them, Ange. I wish we could do it way later, but the fans want to see them too... I owe that to them."
We were finally exposing our two babies to the world, like I planned. I would usually do it before they started getting any facial features, but Angela wanted them safe from the press for the first few months of their lives.
"I know. Your fans are your everything, right after the kids."
"And you."
She blushed and pecked my lips.
"You're so cheesy, and we gotta find more clothes. I want to get back before the kids return form school, so we could get them ready for the big photoshoot." she said.
"Are we going shopping again?" I asked.
"You know it. Paris's dresses are a little smaller on her, and Blanket's growing, too... Oh, and don't get me started about Prince. Lily can try on a few of Paris's old dresses, because she's smaller, physically... And for Eric I guess we need new clothes as well..."
She went on, making me smile. Angela has really grasped the idea of being a mother of seven kids. Just by the way she thought of each one separately and knew what each needed, I knew she was too caught up in the family life by now.
"Mike, I think it's time we go home... My boobs are getting bigger, and you know what that means. It's meal time for these two." Angela whispered.
"Are you sure we're done here?" I smirked, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. I reach my hand down to touch her tender breast. She smacked my hand away.
"Why are you doing that? I'll leak. Come on, let's go home."
I chuckled, and pulled her to me. "Okay, we'll go home. But give me a kiss first."
She stood on her toes and as she was about to touch my lips with hers, the babies started whining.
I groaned when Angela turned to them, shushing them and saying they'll eat soon.
~
"You know what we need?" Angela asked as she placed Rose's head close to her chest.
"Another vacation away from these two?" I smiled.
"No," she rolled her eyes. "I think we need couple's counseling."
"For what, exactly? We're perfectly fine as a couple."
"Maybe, but you can't deny that there's unsolved things between us... Plus, I need to tell someone, anyone, about what happened with us."
"But why do it in front of a complete stranger?"
"And risk telling someone we know? That stranger is committed by law to keep his patients' privacy. If we tell someone we know, they might tell everyone else," Angela said. "Plus, maybe he could help me move on from Jake. God knows I need it. If we talk to someone, as a couple, about us, we will be a much better husband and wife."
My heart stopped. Even after three months of being together, she didn't tell me she loves me. She made sure to show me she has feelings for me quite frequently, but she hadn't said those three words yet.
"Please?"
"Fine," I agreed. "We'll do it. But I have one condition."
"Tell me."
"I want another baby."
~
Angela: He what?!
"That's your condition? No. No way, Michael. I told you I'd give you another one in a year or two." I said.
"Then I guess we won't be going to couple's counseling. I gave you my ultimatum." Michael told me.
"Why are you being such a prick?" I asked bitterly.
He sighed, "We'll talk about this after you've given it some thought."
He looked down at Jared who finished eating, then placed him against his shoulder.
"I'll be in my office with him." Michael mumbled and left.
Rose let out a squeal and I looked at her.
"You will not become a big sister so soon, don't even think about it." I told her, kissing her tiny nose.
~
Once Rose finished eating, I went to Michael's office to try and talk him out of his crazy idea of having another baby.
Jared was in his little swing right next to Michael who was organizing some papers around his desk.
"Mike," I called, propping Rose on my hip. "Can we talk about this? Please?"
"I gave you my condition and return you called me a prick. I don't think talking is what we need right now." he said.
"Why a baby, though?"
"Because that's what I want."
I groaned, "I get that, but what does that have to do with us going to counseling? We need this, Michael. A baby isn't what we need."
"Says who?" he scoffed.
"Me, and any other woman that was pregnant with twins. Rose and Jared are only four months old. No woman would want to get pregnant so soon after giving birth."
"Debbie said she wanted to give me another baby when Prince was two months old."
I squinted my eyes at him. It's like he's trying to annoy me even more.
"Well, maybe Debbie can give you another baby instead of me." I rolled my eyes, leaving his office with Rose still on my hip.
~
It was time to go to bed after putting all the kids to sleep, and I was still pissed off at Michael.
I can't believe he compared me to his ex-wife. I'm not that awful, right?
"Don't touch me." I snapped at him when he attempted to wrap his arm around my body.
"Oh, come on, Angie... You love cuddling." he whispered in my ear.
"Not tonight. I don't want to cuddle with someone who compares me to his ex-wife." I rolled my eyes.
"I never compared you to anyone!"
I grabbed his arm and removed it from around me. "Whatever. Goodnight."
I closed my eyes, and he sighed.
"Is being pregnant with my baby that awful?" Michael asked quietly.
I opened my eyes, turning to him.
"Why would you think that?"
"I don't know... You're the only one that complained by far."
"Yeah, but I'm the only one that's been pregnant with twins, Michael. Double the amount of what Debbie and that surrogate had to carry," I said as I reached out my hand to take his. "And I'm scared we'll have another pair of twins... That trait seems to catch on really well with me. I can't handle another set of twins."
"I'll help you, I'll do anything you want... Please. I'm not getting any younger, you know. I'll be 57 when the babies are 10, and what kid wants their dad to be that old?"
I snickered, "They'll love you no matter what."
"Just think of how great it'll be to have another baby, Angie." Michael looked me in the eyes.
I've never seen him so desperate. But another baby? That's insane! We can barely take care of the kids that we have now.
"I don't know, Mike..."
"Okay, I'll make you a deal," he smirked. "We'll start by going to four meetings with the couple's counsel and talk about our problems and whatever you want... And then we'll try to get pregnant again. It'll take us at least two months to get pregnant, if we're lucky. By then the twins will be seven months old. If you want, we can even go to a fertility doctor and get some advice on how to decrease the chance of having twins again, even though I'd love another set of our beautiful babies."
"You really want another one, huh?" I sighed.
"You have no idea how much."
"Fine, it's a deal," I smiled. "Four meetings, and then we'll try to get pregnant."
Michael gasped and hugged me tighter than anyone ever has.
"Oh, I love you so much, Angela..." he said into my neck.
I wanted to say it back, but the lump in my throat always stopped me when I tried. The last person I ever said that to was Jake.
Hopefully, by the time we're done with counseling, I'll be able to say those three words.
