They are ushered out of the backdoor into a car and then swiftly taken to the train station, there were no cameras on the platform, no crowd to send them on their way. Opal and Finnick exchanged looks of confusion, the pair knew something was going on in the Capitol, something big. Elizabeth, Mags and Annie soon appeared escorted by armed guards, the peacekeepers ushered them all into the train slamming the door as the wheels began to spin. Opal was left staring out of her bedroom window at District four, a place that she would never return to, she remained there until the woods swallowed up the last glimpse of her home. The place where she wanted to start a family with Finnick.
"O," Finnick greeted standing by her side, his hand soon found hers giving it a squeeze of comfort. She turned to face him, fighting back the tears that threatened to fall "We will be okay," he assured cupping her face.
She pulled away "How can you say that?" she questioned almost angrily, her anger wasn't directed towards Finnick it was for the Capitol and he understood that "We are going to be thrown in an arena with people we have known for years if it comes down to the two of us. I can't- I won't- I will never hurt you again."
"I know," Finnick sighed pulling her in for a long hug, it was something the pair did often but it gave them comfort "We will figure something out, maybe pull a Katniss and Peeta."
Opal couldn't help the small laugh that escaped her lips, she had watched the girl's games and had to admit she was quite proud of her bravery. Opal didn't want to be negative, she had promised herself that she would show the Capitol no weakness. But Finnick was her safe space, she felt like any of her concerns she could voice to him. Often when the girl was struggling with her PTSD or anxiety she would ask Finnick questions about if what she felt was normal.
"We will make allies and stick with them until there are only a few of us left," he spoke stroking up and down her back in a comforting manner.
Opal turned to face him cupping his face softly in her hands "I don't want to speak about it," she forced his head down so their foreheads could touch "If this is to be one of the last nights that we have free, then I want to do this." Opal's eyes lingered from Finnick's eyes to his lips until he decided to make the connection. Their lips moved in sync as hunger took over both of them, craving each other's touch. Opal's breath grew heavier as his hand slid up her back pulling the woman closer causing her to gasp, his hand soon slipped down to her back end.
"Your perfection," he muttered with a smile, his warm breath tickling her neck causing Opal to crave him more, with careful fingers she began to undo the buttons on his tunic allowing it to fall freely to the floor. His large thumb pulled her lip down gently before he reconnected the kiss, Finnick began to unlace the strings on the front of her shirt allowing the cleavage of her breasts to be seen. Opal was pushed lightly against the wall, she couldn't stop the soft moan that left her lips as his kisses lingered across her neck before he pulled her back to face him once more. His hands found her waist, and pulling himself closer, he pinned her to the wall. Opal's heartbeat increased as she bit her lip.
"I want you," she spoke, breathing heavily, tickling his neck. Finnick's hand slid down her back, and a soft gasp escaped her lips as he grabbed her backside.
Opal grabbed his face by kissing the man hungrily, pulling away she stared at him for a few seconds, and then she carried on feeding her craving. She shimmied her pants down, while he gently pulled her shirt off. His hands found her hips lifting the girl until her knees were hitched over his waist, the cold air nipping her sensitive skin. Finnick carried her softly to the bed never breaking the kiss, the man carefully sat down on the bed pulling away from Opal.
"Do you want this?" he questioned, his hands lingering on her waist. Finnick had always asked this question no matter how many times Opal said yes he felt inclined to ask, he knew the struggles she went through when Snow began to sell her, it was a pain he knew all too well.
She bit her lip growing slightly impatient "I want you." Leaving her fully exposed Finnick studied her beauty causing her to shy away feeling flustered, he soon noticed this gently grabbing a hold of her chin, bringing her face to his once more as he began to kiss her again growing hungry for her. Opal sucked in a harsh breath as she felt him against her thigh, he quickly unzipped his trousers. Finnick's large hands got a gentle grip on her small hips, moving her on top of him. Butterflies filled her stomach as she stared down at the man, she leaned forward and wrapped her arms delicately around his neck.
Opal awoke as the morning rays infiltrated the bedroom, she scrunched her eyes a yawn leaving her lips, and her arms stretched out as she leaned on one of her arms using it to prop herself up. The woman had another nightmare in the night leaving her screaming while Finnick fumbled to grab her, after a few sweet words Opal finally recomposed. She rubbed her eyes hating how sticky they felt from the tears, her brunette hair uncomfortably clung to her face.
As she went up Opal let out a sharp breath when Finnick pulled her back down, the woman looked at him rolling her eyes "Morning," he mumbled in a husky voice.
"Good morning," she replied.
"Your up early," he pointed out, rubbing the sleep from his eyes "In a rush?"
She shook her head "No, it's just we should probably get up Finn."
"Stay with me for a bit." he huffed. She sighed and decided he was right since she had been reaped Opal was acting like she had to do everything in a hurry, it was the woman's way of preparing for the inevitable. She placed her head softly against his chest, the beating of his heart along with the soft rising and falling of his chest helped to calm her. Opal found her breathing pattern matching his.
Opal sighed even Finnick couldn't keep her mind from racing, the pair were popular in the Capitol everyone loved them but she wondered if they would choose her and Finnick to sponsor instead of the other Victors. What also panicked the girl is that she would have to fight against people she had known for years including Johanna who was the only living female tribute in her District, Opal had grown close to the woman after her family were slaughtered by Snow because Johanna refused to sell her body to the Capitol. Both Opal and Finnick were in the same situation where if they refused to do what the Capitol said Snow would threaten Mags, it wasn't uncommon for someone of her age to pass from 'natural consequences'.

A bit more of a serious note on this chapter, I just want to remind you of all of the warnings which are in the book description as most of them will be coming into play soon. I do not wish to trigger anyone and I am so sorry if any of these topics are hard for some of you but I think it's important to realise how evil Snow truly is. Stay safe!
