I jolted awake, gasping for air as tears streamed down my face.

The black lump in front of me sent terror through my bones as I propelled myself away from it, but arms wrapped around me to prevent me from flying off the bed.

"Rey it's me. What's wrong? What happened?" Ren's face started to come into focus as I sat up quickly and pulled him up with me.

I strangely touched his face to make sure he was real. His skin still radiated warmth, his eyes shined brightly, and his breath could be heard as I yanked him into me violently.

"You're alive." Was all I could get out coherently through my tears.

"Of course I'm alive. Why wouldn't I-" I covered his words with my lips before he even had time to think.

His eyes were wide for a moment, but he automatically softened and cupped my cheeks gently as he returned my soft kiss.

I was somewhat disappointed when he pulled away and held my face a couple inches from his, wiping a tear away with his thumb.

"Tell me, what did you see?" He whispered softly, his eyes showing only concern.

He couldn't know. I put up a wall in my thoughts, banishing the images of his corpse from my head quickly.

If he found out what I planned to do- what I plan to do.... He will slaughter me where I stand.

It had been a couple months since the first time I had kissed him, and the dream had been forthcoming for a while. No doubt sent by Luke somehow.

I gripped his hands in mine as I removed them from my face and held them in front of both of us.

I finally took the time to actually look at him for the first time this morning. His hair was wild and unruly, some strands in his face as a result of my sudden freak out.

I forced on a smile as I brushed a lock away from his eyes.

"As much as I'd like to stay in here with you all day, I- we do have work to do." He muttered, formality seeming to creep into his voice.

I nodded silently as I dropped his hands and rolled off the bed in order to stretch.

I felt his eyes burn into my back as I searched for something suitable for me to wear.

"You could go get yourself ready you know." I pointed out nonchalantly, refraining from looking towards him and keeping my focus on the clothes.

I was afraid that if I saw his eyes again, I wouldn't be able to hide my thoughts and I might just break into tears.

The dream was the signal. My time here was up.

POV: Kylo Ren

I couldn't keep my eyes off of her.

I don't think I have ever realized just how beautiful she was until now.

I stood from the bed and threw on the rest of my wrappings as I approached her from behind.

I could feel her pain increase despite my efforts to comfort her.

As soon as I had touched her, her knees seemed to buckle as she let out a sob. I caught her and sat down with her gently as she gripped my arm.

I just held her close, unsure what to do.

It was difficult to even begin to help her if she wouldn't tell me what was wrong.

"Rey I-" I was cut off by the door sliding open abruptly, causing her to jump in my arms.

"You had better have a good reason for your intrusion." I growled as I released her and stood to confront the trooper, fury bubbling in my chest.

"Ah Ren, so you are awake." Hux stood in the doorway with his arms crossed and a mocking smirk upon his face. "Supreme Leader Snoke needs to speak to you immediately." My heart seemed to plummet into my stomach. Considering the smug look on his face, Hux knew I was in for it.

"Not to say I told you so, but-" I cut him off by pushing past him violently and starting down the hall, grabbing my helmet on the way.

POV: Rey

I made no move to follow Ren as he slipped out of the room without a word.

I sat on the ground, staring blankly forward, missing his warmth already.

"You should run whilst you still can, girl." He growled warningly.

When I didn't answer and just continued to stare at him blankly, he rolled his eyes before he explained. "Snoke knows about you two. He's going to have you killed. He'll likely have Ren do it himself if I were to guess."

I sighed as I stood up and shrugged my shoulders.

"Let him. I deserve whatever comes to me." I whispered as I turned away from Hux and hugged myself pitifully.

"Stop crying about it. You may be the most stubborn, half-witted, disrespectful rebel I have ever met," I turned to look over my shoulder, confused on how this was supposed to make me feel any better. "But you are perhaps one of the bravest, no matter how stupid you are. I can also see that you make him happy, and that takes a lot. You mean something to him, despite my advice to him against you."

What the bloody hell. I had to be still dreaming.

General Hux, the guy that BLEW UP AN ENTIRE STAR SYSTEM, has just made actual heartfelt words leak from his mouth.

I could feel my jaw on the floor as he rolled his eyes and glared at me, emotion gone.

"If he means anything to you, you will leave before he is forced to kill you." Somehow his words came out monotoned and cold, but I could see he did care for his somewhat friend.

I closed my mouth with a snap and narrowed my eyes.

"I do care about him. Which is why I am going to live up to your expectations and do something incredibly stupid." I almost laughed at the thought of what I was about to do as I began throwing on the rest of my wrappings and snatched the lightsaber I had been working on since I had arrived on this vessel.

Pushing past a mildly stunned Hux, I headed after Ren.

It was time to reveal myself to Supreme Leader Snoke, my true self.

If these last few months have taught me anything, it's that I don't belong with Luke.

I don't belong with the light.

I belonged with Kylo Ren, on the dark side.

I prepared myself to meet the massive figure as I ignited the saber and red light flooding the dim hall.
