Mark's P.O.V.

I groaned as my alarm sounded. My hand slammed the snooze button and I rolled over. My red hair fell in my eyes as a fumbled for my glasses. I swung my feet over the bed and dragged myself up. I threw on clothes and ran the brush through my hair a couple of times. As I clomped downstairs, my moms ears perked up.

" Mom. Dads gonna yell at you if you keep sitting on the couch." I moaned, face palming.

My mom stood up and shifted back into a human.

" Sorry... it's just so comfy." she muttered, rolling her eyes.

I quickly made toast and ran out the door.

" BYE MOM!" I shouted.

" BYE MARK! LOVE YAH!" she yelled back.

I jogged to the bus stop, hoping I wasn't late. I saw Dan and Phil with there backs to me, talking with Felix.

" Hey faggots." Felix sneered.

Phil shifted quickly and growled, standing in front of Dan. Felix snarled and shifted too, his blond fur catching the attention of the wind. I kept myself alert, but wanted to see if Dan and Phil could hold their ground against Felix. Felix clawed Phil's muzzle, earning a yelp in pain from him. Dan immediately shifted down and leaped on top of Felix. Felix's eyes widened in the surprise of the moment. Dan bit Felix's chest. It wasn't enough to kill him, but it got him a nice wound. My blood ran cold as I saw the alpha of the Silvermoon pack.

His blue eyes sparkled as the morning sun shone down. His green hair was swept out of his eyes but barely. He looked down at Felix cowering under Dan. Jack shifted, his fur had a tint of green, making his bright, oceanic eyes stand out more than ever. He prowled around Dan, his eyes baring daggers into him. I quickly shifted as well, my black fur billowing. My red eyes bore into Jack's blue ones. It was almost like fire meeting water. I heard a low growl come from Jack's chest as his head snapped up to meet my gaze. I crept towards him, my more muscular frame seeming to downsize him greatly. He seemed so... vulnerable. I shook the thought from my mind as quick as it came. Jack prowled towards me. I waited for him to make the first move. He leaped into the air, coming down hard on top of me. I rolled him over and snapped my jaw threateningly. Jack seemed to wince, but he tried to keep his ground. The two packs watched the Alphas fight it out, seeing which one would win. Jack rolled me back over, I winced, already for him to strike, but it never came. His paw was inches from my face. I looked up at him, cocking my head. He sighed and crawled off of me. We both shifted back, his blue eyes inches from my now brown ones.

" Um..." Jack mumbled, scratching the back of his neck.

His gaze shifted to the grass. The members of both packs had there jaws slacked. My mind was going a million miles a hour.

" Why didn't he harm me?"

" Is he blushing, or is that the wind?"

" Why didn't I harm him?"

That last one really had me confused. I let the thought sit in my mind for quite a while. I  interrupted the awkward silence.

" Thanks for... not killing me and all..." I said, rather awkwardly.

" No problem... Mark." he said with a grin.

Mark.

The way he said my name made my heart feel like it was going faster than a billion racing horses.

Mark.

Mark.

I sighed, watching the bus pull up.

" YOU DUMBASS!" Wade yelled, " YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING AND HE WAS EXTREMELY VUNERABLE!"

" I... I know. He just... he didn't deserve it." I confessed.

" Pull it together... alpha." Wade snapped.

I trudged onto the bus, thinking only of one word.
