Chapter Seven
K admired Euijoo’s sleepy face, a soft smile playing on his lips. “You’re the cutest,” he murmured. “Now I love you even more.” He gently brushed his hand over Euijoo’s cheek before tugging him closer. “Come on, my squeezable little thing.”
Euijoo blushed at K’s words but smiled. “Let’s go~” he said, taking K’s hand.
They walked hand in hand to the kitchen, but their closeness didn’t go unnoticed by the other members gathered there.
“Why are you holding hands?” Yuma asked with a teasing tone.
“That’s weird,” Maki added, making Euijoo quickly let go of K’s hand.
“It was just a joke, you fools,” K rolled his eyes and started eating.
“Nicholas will be jealous,” Taki remarked, causing everyone to laugh. Nicholas, however, shot them a glare.
“Stop it, it’s getting boring,” K said, irritation creeping into his voice.
“I agree, you guys are annoying,” Nicholas added, clearly fed up with the teasing, while Fuma watched the growing tension with concern.
Euijoo nervously scratched his head. “No need to jump to conclusions, guys…” He tried to ease the mood. “I’m hungry,” he added, shifting the conversation. Hating the tension in the air, he sat down at the table and peeled a banana, his gaze flickering between the members.
“We were just messing around, anyway,” Yuma defended, looking to the others for support. Jo and Harua, usually quiet, nodded in agreement, though they seemed a little confused by the atmosphere.
An awkward silence settled between them, and K refused to let it linger. “So, what’s on our schedule today? I’m completely lost.”
Euijoo finished the last bite of his banana and stretched. “I’ll have to check again, but I think we have a photoshoot. The nine of us.”
“You two are really lost,” Nicholas said, amused. The others, however, exchanged suspicious glances.
“We’re all tired, it’s normal. When are we going to have a break?” Fuma interjected, attempting to steer the conversation in a different direction. “By the way, K, you owe me a barbecue.”
The room immediately erupted in complaints.
“I’d take you all if I could, but I’m not rich,” K replied. “I only owe Fuma. And we’re the oldest—we have rights. But that’s it, only when we have time.”
Euijoo focused on eating his fruit, trying to act nonchalant. He knew he wasn’t good at hiding things—his expressions were always easy to read. To distract himself, he grabbed his phone and checked Weverse, quickly making a good morning post for Luné.
Despite his distraction, thoughts kept swirling in his mind. How were they supposed to keep this a secret? When would they tell the members? What would happen if they got caught?
Though K wasn’t looking at Euijoo directly, he could feel his concern. Nicholas seemed to notice it, too—he and Euijoo were close, after all. K hated that he felt jealous about it.
“Is everything okay, hyung?” Nicholas asked, confused by K’s expression.
“Of course. Sorry, I was just thinking about some things,” K said quickly. Trying to change the subject, he added, “By the way, the program you did with EJ was really good.”
Nicholas sighed. “Thanks, I guess.”
Checking the time, Euijoo stood up. “We gotta go soon, guys. Come on.”
All the members returned to their rooms. K, lost in thought, barely registering the process of getting dressed.
After quickly changing in the bathroom, he met up with the others outside. “I’m ready.”
His eyes instinctively searched for Euijoo. He wanted to hold his hand, to do something—anything—to show his affection. But he had no choice but to save it for when they were alone.
Nicholas stepped closer to Euijoo, lowering his voice. “What’s going on with K? He’s been acting strange. Everyone’s worried. You seem a little off too. Are you having trouble sharing a room?”
Euijoo tensed but forced himself to remain calm. “Huh? No… It’s just early, and… we haven’t had our coffee yet.” He shrugged. “And K is always strange. Nothing new.”
As K arrived, he noticed Euijoo and Nicholas talking and instinctively turned away. Even though he knew they were just best friends, it bothered him.
That damn show.
“Hyung… is everything okay?” Jo’s quiet voice startled K.
“Jo, don’t do that… Of course, I’m fine. Why wouldn’t I be?” Without thinking, he hugged Jo like a stuffed animal and decided to sit next to him in the van. It was a good distraction.
During the ride, Euijoo listened to music, occasionally sneaking glances at K. His charming features, his presence—he was so lucky. But he turned his gaze to the window, not wanting anyone to catch him staring. The others were already suspicious enough.
K rested his head on Jo’s shoulder, but he, too, kept glancing at Euijoo. Even from a distance, he was breathtaking. He didn’t even look real. He was finally his, yet it still hurt to be apart. He just wanted to hold his hand all the time.
The ride felt like it would never end, but eventually, they arrived at the photoshoot location. Euijoo climbed out of the van and turned back to watch the others get out. His eyes met K’s, and he smiled. “Make way for King K~” he said softly, just for him.
K grinned. “Thank you very much, leader.” He formed a tiny finger heart, one only Euijoo would understand.
Even during the photoshoot, K couldn’t take his eyes off Euijoo. Fortunately, no one seemed to notice. It was impossible to look away, knowing he was finally his. Whenever he had the chance, he stayed close, subtly brushing their hands together. The brief touches sent shivers through him.
Euijoo, too, found himself drawn to K. The photoshoot wasn’t long, but he couldn’t wait to get back to the dorm. As they waited for the final shots, he leaned his head on K’s shoulder. He wished he could do more, but this was the most intimate they could be without drawing suspicion.
K wanted the shoot to be over. He wanted to be alone with Euijoo. Unable to resist, he subtly slid his hand under Euijoo’s shirt, touching his warm skin on his back and stroking it gently.
Euijoo let out a quiet sigh at K’s touch. The small gesture sent a wave of warmth through him, making him feel happy and loved.
When the director announced the shoot was complete, he felt relieved. Just one van ride away from being back at the dorm with his love.
The return trip felt endless, especially with the food stop. K dozed off against Taki’s shoulder, dreaming of Euijoo. As soon as they arrived, he woke up instantly, eager to escape.
As they carried their food inside, Maki stopped K. “Aren’t you going to eat with us, hyung?”
K hesitated. He couldn’t think of an excuse fast enough. “No. Euijoo, will you come with me?” He didn’t even wait for a response before heading to their room, food in hand.
Euijoo quickly followed, trying not to make it obvious. The moment the door shut behind them, he sighed. “Finally.”
