"Alex", says Kyle as he pulls me up.

"I figured it was you", I say to him as he stands there shocked.

"Babe, I can't find the oregano we use", says Jessica as she walks up to Kyle.

She then noticed me as her eyes widen.

"Alex!", she yells as he hugs me.

"Hey Jess", I say as I smile at her.

"Where the hell have you been. You've been missing for three years", says Jessica as she scolds me.

"Seeing the world", I say as she smiles.

"So you've finally found a reason to live?", she asks.

"Yes. I'm living for me", I smile as she smiles.

She then elbowed Kyle.

"Alex", he says.

"Kyle", I say.

"I got married and had a child", he blurts out as Jessica gave him a confused look.

"I see that. Congratulations", i smile.

"This is Alexander. We named him after you", says Jessica as she hands me the baby.

"Hello widdle Alexander", I say holding the baby as he smiles.

"What are you doing here?", asks Jessica.

"I came to see the Lady Gaga concert tomorrow", I say to her.

"And then what?", she asks.

"I'm gonna head to Greece", I say.

"How long are you going to be sightseeing?", asks Jessica.

"As long as it takes", I say.

"So you're grocery shopping?", asks Kyle.

"Yeah I'm gonna make pasta", I say.

"Have dinner with us", says Jessica as Kyle and I stare at her but she gave us that little evil chuckle she wore so well.

"It's okay, I have to go to bed early anyway", I say to her.

"Then spend the night", says Jessica.

"I'm afraid I can't", i say gulping.

"You shouldn't force him, Jess. He doesn't want to", says Kyle.

"You both do know I won't accept no for an answer right?", she said as she glared daggers at us.

"Fine. I'll have dinner with you", I sigh in defeat as she smiled in excitement and Kyle had an expressionless look on his face.

I headed with them to their car.

"Thanks for babysitting for me Dianne", says Jessica.

"No problem. I'm gonna head home now, Abe is gonna pick me up, he's taking me to dinner", she says.

"Thanks, sis", says Jessica.

"Alex... Do you mind watching Alexander while he's in his baby-seat?", asks Kyle.

"Sure. No problem", I smile as I sit in the backseat.

I drive with them, everyone was so silent, it was like this thick mist covering us.

I focused my attention on little Alexander, who kept staring at me. He kept laughing as i made silly faces. He liked me.

"He usually doesn't like strangers", says Kyle.

"Well Alex isn't a stranger but I guess too little Alexander he is, he's getting along with you so fine. That's a first, maybe he knows you", says Jessica.

"Maybe he does", I say as little Alexander continues to play with me.

Things felt so awkward. So Kyle married Jessica and they have a beautiful baby boy. I guess i say that coming. I'm happy for him. He went ahead and did what I wanted him to do all along. Get married and start a family. That's what I wanted.

We then arrive at their massive house. It was like a mansion.

"Welcome to our home Alex", says Jessica as she exits the car.

I walk with her Kyle walked behind. He kept his distance from me, he didn't say a word to me, didn't even look at me. Maybe I deserve that? You really do hate me don't you Kyle?

"I'll get started on dinner. You two watch Alexander", says Jessica as she smiles at us.

Why does she have that evil look on her face?

"So... you got married", I say to Kyle as he gave me this intense stare.

"Yeah", he said to me.

"Alexander is adorable", I say to him.

"Yup", he says to me.

I guess I deserve the cold treatment. Kyle looked like he had no interest in talking to me so I headed to the kitchen to help Jessica. Who would've thought I'd leave Kyle to go conversate with Jessica?
I head to the kitchen to find Jessica outside smoking a cigarette.

"It didn't go well?", she says as she smokes.

"Doesn't seem likes he's interested in talking to me. Can I have one of that?", I say asking Jessica for a cigarette.

"You smoke? You really shouldn't", she says.

"What do I have left to lose?", I say as she hands me a cigarette.

"He's been miserable. He always was. He's turned so strict and lifeless now", she sighs.

"Yeah I can see that", I sigh.

"With you back maybe he'll go back to the way he was before", says Jessica as she looked sad.

"You truly love him don't you?", I say to her.

"I can never love him the way you did Alex, I'm glad you're back", she says.

"I'm not back", I say to her.

"Would you stick around for a little bit? Having you around here may revert him back to his old self. Please, Alex... I miss him", she says as a tear comes out her eye.

I felt sorry for her, I could tell Kyle wasn't his usual self. He's changed.

She wiped up her tears as we headed back inside.

We head to the kitchen and started preparing dinner.

"So Alfredo?", she says to me.

"That would be lovely", I smile as she handed me the knife and an onion.

"You guys need some help?", says Kyle as he walks into the kitchen.

"Where's Alexander?", asks Jessica.

"He's asleep", says Kyle as he approached her and kisses her on the cheek.

He then grabbed two beers from the fridge. He then handed one as he grabbed a knife and started cutting some veggies.

It was a nice moment. We all didn't really speak much but the thick fog felt like it was clearing up.

We finished making dinner as we sat at the table to eat.

"What does your dad think about you circling the globe when you should be resting?", asks Kyle.

"My dad passed away a few years ago", I sigh.

"My condolences. I'm sorry to hear that", says Jessica.

"How did he die?", asks Kyle.

"Car accident", I say as Kyle rolled his eyes.

"I see... so justice is finally served", says Kyle as Jessica and I stood there in shock.

"Justice?", I say gulping.

"Yeah. I guess now you felt the pain I felt all those years ago when your parents killed mine, he deserves it and you do to", says Kyle as he causally eats his dinner.

"Kyle!", yelled Jessica as Alexander woke up.

"I'm gonna use the restroom", I say getting up.

"Down the hall to the left", says Jessica as she gave Kyle the death stare.

I hurried to the bathroom as I burst into tears. Kyle you truly have changed, you're nothing like the boy back then, you're the empty shell of the boy I used to love... what happened to you, Kyle? Do you truly hate me that much?
