/Chapter 11\ Wolves

Hey everyone! This fanfic is back! With slower updates. I finally got some inspiration for this, and wanted to write a little bit.

Here you guys go!

-----------------------------------------------------

Aphmau sighed as they trudged along the dirt path. Her dress had long been deserted and she now worse a pair of shorts and a long-sleeved black shirt. They had been traveling for five days and only stopped once in a small town to gather supplies. It was where Aphmau gathered new clothes.

Aaron had changed clothes too. He had traded his elegant black suit, that gave him away easily, for a pair of jeans and white shirt. They both looked like common-folk now. And they were relieved.

The others in the trip had stayed in their normal clothes. None of the stood out too well. The only thing that was discarded was the strip of cloth that labeled the guards from Phoenix Drop as Royal guards. Everything had gone surprisingly smooth. Especially with the predicament they were all in. If they were caught, all of them would be hung for treason.

However, right now, being executed was the least of their problems. They were only two days from Falcon Claw, and they were passing through the most dangerous part of the forest. There were unknown monsters and horrors that surrounded the forest around Falcon Claw, and none of them knew what was coming.

"Hurry up," Stated Aaron, his gaze scanning over the small army that was assembled. He knew that if they didn't get passed this stretch of the forest by nightfall, they would be in serious trouble. As soon as everyone had passed him, Aaron stepped in the line they had formed. They people in front of him marched with determination. All of them determined to protect Aphmau at all costs.

Aphmau stood a couple people in front of Aaron. She was walking next to Katelyn, talking to her and letting all of her worried out. She was worried something would go wrong.

"What if they see us coming? What if they are prepared for us?" She asked. She kept asking question upon questions. But no one had any answers. No one knew what would happen. They could only speculate.

A low growl stopped Aphmau's questions and a pair of blood red eyes started back at her from the darkness of the forest. She froze, causing Garroth to slam into her, followed by Aaron. The rest of the group ahead of Aphmau stopped and turned to her.

Aaron made his way to Aphmau, curiously examining her worried expression. "What is it-" he was cut off by another growl, and he turned to the woods. His eyes widened as he saw the glowing eyes, and he stepped in front of Aphmau for protection.

Out of the shadows stepped a wolf. No. Too large for a wolf. The "wolf" stepped in front of Aaron and then transformed. Into a werewolf. Aaron recognized him almost immediately.

"Fenrir."

The wolf nodded, a cruel smirk playing on his lips. "Hello Aaron. How have you been?"

"What do you want?" spat Aaron. Not taking anything from the wolf. Aaron knew that he wasn't there for a casual conversation. It was the wolf that dominated over the woods. He was basically the king of that domain. And he knew that he would stop at anything to keep it, and keep intruders away.

"I just wanted to see who was traveling in my kingdom today. Seem's little Aaron has made a few more friends," he said sarcastically. Garroth unsheathed his sword and took a step closer to Aaron. "I wouldn't think about it, human. I didn't come alone." Everyone's eyes scanned around in the woods, and the all noticed them. Red eyes, all glowing, and staring at the group.

Aaron growled, almost as animalistic as the wolf in front of him. "Look. I'm not here to cause any trouble. We're just passing through."

The were-wolf clicked his tongue, "That's the problem. You of all people should know that I don't let people past without paying first. Now hand over what you have."

Aaron shook his head, "We don't have anything for you."

Fenrir smirked. "Then we'll just have to take it ourselves them." And with that he lunged. Along with the eyes that surrounded them.
