Chapter 2: Dancing All Night

Dorian

          I woke up that morning feeling awake and alive. I looked outside and it was almost dark again. I look at Romeo. “Did I sleep through the day again?” I swear I saw Romeo nod. I laugh and get out of bed and jump in the shower. I loved feeling the warm water hit my skin and just fall over on me. When I jumped out I changed into some jeans and put on a black jacket. “Alright boy, I’ll see you later tonight. Going to go out and have some fun.” I say to my little man and start my short drive to Rumors.

          About 21 minutes later I was standing outside of Rumors, you could already hear the loud music and I know soon whenever one was drunk that they’d be singing soon. I smile and walk inside. “Hey Dorian.” I hear as I see a blonde looking at me, her name is Lilly and she’s my favorite bar tender. “Hey Lilly, can you get me my usually please?” I see her nod, “I’ll bring it to you at your table.” I nod and walk to my table and waited. Around me I see girls dancing with their lovers or just random guys they just meet. And others were just dancing with their friends. I smiled, must be nice.

          As my drink comes over I see different girls looking at me with the same look that always have when they see me. So of course, I went to them. Flirted and danced, brought them drinks. For a while they all asked if they could go to my place but tonight, I just wasn’t into it. “Not tonight ladies, but I bet those guys will.” I say and point across the room to three guys staring at me. I see the girl sigh but they nod and go over to them. I sigh and walk to the bar to see a girl in a light blue dress. Her white blonde hair hanged over her shoulder as she drank her drink. I couldn’t help but look at her, she was very beautiful.

          I walk over to her and pulled a sit. She looks at me and smiles. “Hey.” I say to her. “Hello.” She says and takes a drink. “I’ve never seen you here before.” “I just moved into town.” Mmm… a new girl huh? This will be fun. “How about I buy you another drink?” She looks at me and smiles, “Sure, how about a Chuck Norris?” My eyes widened, that’s new. But then I let it go, “Lilly, can you get me a Chuck Norris and a rum and coke please?” I call out. “Sure thing Dorian.” I hear back.

          “So your name is Dorian, nice name.” I smile, “And what’s your name?” I asked as Lilly puts our drinks in front of us. The girl smiles and takes a long drink and places it down. “I’ll tell you after you dance with me.” She says with a smile. She grabs her drink and finishes it off as she walks to the dance floor. “What do you says Dorian, think you can handle that?” She says as she slowly dances into the dance floor. I sit there shocked, who was this women. “Wow Dorian, looks like you got your hands full on this one.” I hear Lilly say. I smile and finish my drink, “Looks like it, but, I love this change.” And with that I go after the girl on the dance floor.

Luna

          The bar I decide to go to is Rumors, a lounge that also has a karaoke night every night. I thought it would be a fun place to get away for a while. As I walk in, I feel the music go through me. I go to the bar and grab a shot before I walk to the dance floor. I started to feel the music and let my body do the work. I started to feel a guy start to dance around me and I let it happen, nothing wrong with dancing. “How about I get you a drink?” One guy asked. “No I’m good, let’s just keep dancing.” I say and move my arms around my back to touch his arms. I know what he wants and I don’t want that, not when I just meet someone. I’m not a slut.

          After dancing with the random guy I went back to the bar. I sat down and just listen to the music. “Hey Hun I’m Lilly, what can I get your?” the bar tender ask. “Sex on the beach please.” I say and wait. She comes back with my drink and I thought about this town. I can’t believe I’m here, and I start work again. This is so weird now; I don’t know how I feel about it yet. Lost in my thoughts, I saw a man walk up to me. His dark hair to the length of his chin sits next to me. I look at him, Oh my, his very handsome. I thought as I smile.

          “Hey.” He says to me. “Hello.” I say back and take a drink. “I’ve never seen you here before.” He says as he watches me closely. He must come here a lot. “I just moved into town.” I say. There’s something about this man I like, I just can’t figure out what. “How about I buy you another drink?” He asks. I look at him, I normal don’t let guys buy my drink but he wasn’t dancing with me and trying to make a move on that line so what could one drink hurt? I smile, “Sure, how about a Chuck Norris.” I say. A Chuck Norris? I’ve already had a shot and sex on the beach, I’m already on the tips, that’ll make me drunk. By the way the man looks at me I could tell he was surprised. “Lilly, can you get me a Chuck Norris and a rum and coke please?” the man calls out before I could stop him. “Sure thing Dorian.” I hear Lilly say. 

          “So your name is Dorian, nice name.” I say. He smiles, “What’s your name?” He asks. Mmm… Maybe I should make him work for it? I thought as our drinks come. I smile and take a long drink and place it down. “I’ll tell you after you dance with me.” I say hoping I’m not slurring my words. I can already fell the alcohol work its magic. I grab my drink and finish it as I walk off to the dance floor. “What do you say Dorian, think you can handle that?” I ask as I slowly dance to the dance floor. I hope he’ll follow me but yet I can feel the music go through me.

          As I dance, I feel a pair of arms wrap around me. I look up to see Dorian. “Can I get that name now?” he asks with a smile on his face. I shake my head, “You have to work for it.” I say and dance closer to him. I can feel every muscle in his body. “You’re a beautiful dancer.” I hear him whisper in my ear, I feel my body shiver. He spins me around so I look into his eyes. His dark green eyes just looked deep into my blue ones. “Luna. Luna Rose. That’s my name.” I say as I push closer to his body. I just want to be closer to him. “Luna, such a beautiful name for a beautiful girl.” I hear him say. “I bet you say that to all the ladies.” I laugh. I move my head on his shoulder but it doesn’t stay there long, I feel his fingers move under my chin and make me look at him again. “I only have said that to you. You are true beauty.” I start to blush as I move my head closer to him. What spell does he have me under? I’m not like this. I thought. Before our lips touch, I hear my phone go off.

          I pull back, “I’m sorry, I have to take this.” Dorian looks at me, “Maybe we can meet again then?” he asks. I smile and start to move to the door but I felt his hand grab mine. I let out a sigh and look at him. “I want to see you again Luna, please.” I hear my phone go off again, “Yes. I would like that too but I must go.” “How will I find you?” He asks as he slowly lets go of my hand. I smile, “If you really want to find me, you’ll find me.” I kiss him on the cheek and as I did, I felt a spark go my body. I look at him, knowing he felt it too. “I will always find you.” He says as he lets go. I smile and walk away.

          As I reach out side to catch a taxi, thank goodness I’m smart to take a taxi to a bar. As I looked at my phone I see my dad called me.

“Hey bud! When did you get into town? How’s it going?”

“Hey dad, sorry I didn’t get your first few calls, I took your advice and went out for a while.”

“That’s great Luna. I’m happy you did that. Meet anyone?”

“Umm, not really, I just wanted to dance but hey dad I’m really tried, can I call you tomorrow after work?”

“Of course princess, call me tomorrow. I love you. Please remember, this is for the best. “

“Yeah, I know. Love you too. Bye.”

          I hanged up the phone and sighed as I climbed into the cab. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.
