30. | Revealed

I was blacked out for what felt like 30 minutes. Colt's guys had placed a dark drape over my head and handcuffed my arms and legs once settled into their vehicle.
I haven't heard Elizabeth's voice the whole time. I would try calling out for her, asking the guys for answers on where she was— but it'll all lead to one thing— A punch.
The car ride rocked my body side to side for the next moment or two. Only the sounds of my heavy breathing could be heard, I was suffocating inside this mask.. Finally, I was guided out of vehicle and walked into what I imagined to be Colt's hideout. We walked and walked but never came to a stop— until—
"Remove his mask." I heard a voice call out.
My eyes felt drowsy. I was drained out from all the energy I felt rushing through me as they tasered me. The drape was removed and my eyes immediately shut with the sudden exposure of light. They slowly began to squint as they adjusted to the atmosphere. Little by little, I began to notice some figures. Colt was in the room, hands spinning a knife with the tip of his finger over the top of it. My heart began to beat loudly. Also in the room where his teammates. One to which I immediately recalled being one of the four who manhandled my girlfriend.
"Where is she!" I shouted, moving forward only to be pulled back by the grip of both men gripping my arms.
Colt smirked, eyes focused on the blade of the knife he held. "Bring her in!" He laughed.
My head turned over my shoulder with the sound of old metal doors opening. Another bright light beamed in the breaking. I looked over again, forcing my eyes to adjust as I noticed Elizabeth being brought out by two men. A mask over her head.
I immediately turned back to Colt. Eyes pinning.
"I swear if you laid a finger on her—"
"Relax," He laughed. "I haven't done anything to her—" A small pause remained, blade pointing back to me. "Yet."
"Let her go!" I shouted, body fighting the two men holding me back.
"You expect me to respond to you?" Colt arched a brow.
"Please, Colt. I beg of you." I cried out. "Release her, she's innocent in this. Let her go. It's me you want to get revenge on. Not her.."
The look on Colt's face remained the same, smiling in power. A beg of me is probably what he wanted all these years and never got. That was only because there was no one ever so meaningful for me to do so.
"Hmm.. Well you see, that's where you're mistaken." He smiled. "Remove her mask!" He yelled at his guys.
I looked back and watched them reveal the face of my woman. She was sweating, glimpse of her hair stuck to her face from the water I couldn't tell if it was due to the heat under the mask they made her wear, or the tears she displayed from crying so much. The image of Elizabeth tore my heart apart. She didn't deserve this, none of it. I guess Elizabeth felt the same way about me because as soon as our eyes landed together, her eyes began to cry again. She remained silent though, teeth biting down in her bottom lip to prevent the cries from coming out.
I couldn't bare to watch her like that. My head spun away immediately to land back on Colt. My jaw clenched in anger.
"You're going to Fucking burn in Hell." I spoke through gritted teeth.
Colt only shrugged his shoulders. "I know." That smile he had still never leaving his face. "But guess who be right there besides me when I'm done?" He arched a brow.
"Let go of me!" I heard Elizabeth's voice crack behind me. "You're hurting me!"
I turned to see what the men were doing to her now. They were holding her arms tightly as she tried to push away. A look of pain vividly seen in her eyes. Even from where I'm standing, I could see how much they were hurting her. This was NOT OK!
Just before I could say anything again, Colt spoke again, this time speaking back to his men.
"Remember what I told you boys.." He spoke.
"Why?" I gritted my teeth at him. "Why are you keeping her here?"
Andrew smirked at the question. "Don't play dumb with me, Gilinsky. You know exactly why I brought you here tonight.." He laughed.
I waited for him to continue to speak for I had nothing to say. All I could do at the moment was listen to my heart beat loudly against my chest and try to not let balance get the best of me. Andrew can't know about Elizabeth being his sister, he can't! Shit... This is probably why he brought us here!
Andrew Colt knows!
My eyes watched his every move as he brought himself closer to me. I stood up straight, chin held high and eyes focused strictly to look in front of me so that I didn't have to see him. He walked around me, observing my stiffness. I wasn't going to give into him, no matter how much he thinks he knows.
Colt eventually came to a halt in front of me, tilting his head before speaking. "Your little girlfriend has become somewhat of a very important object to me."
Object? Is that seriously what he called my girlfriend? Oh man, he really wants to die!
"I swear to God, if you hurt her—"
"Believe me," He interrupted. "As much I want to, I have a certain rule when it comes to family."
Shit.
"Huh?" I heard Elizabeth's voice quickly sound.
Andrew immediately swung his attention over to her. Amusement in his look.
"Oh.. Oh I'm sorry.." He pretended to apologize, hand over heart as he cautiously walked over to her.
Elizabeth immediately went into the same mode of stiffness as I did while he approached her. Colt kept glancing in between us, gasping with the news.
"Did Prince Charming not tell you any of this?" He paused. "Wow, this must be really awkward for you..." He shrugged, eyes turning to me as he said his last sentence.
"Andrew, Shut The Fuck Up!" I widened my eyes.
"Jack, what is he talking about?" Elizabeth asked, eyes focusing on me.
This is just what he wanted. He knew that I knew but she didn't. He wanted to bring to hurt me in the simplest yet most horrible way possible... For Elizabeth to find out I've been lying to her.
Andrew sucked the back of his teeth. Arms crossed over his chest as he stood closer to Elizabeth with his eyes pinned. "Here, let me explain it to you since, your beloved over there has been sneaking around and hasn't told you a single word."
Elizabeth's eyes kept turning to me, not knowing if whether or not to believe in what Andrew was about to tell her. You could see the dear rushing upon her. She was probably more scared now than she was when Andrew's guys took her from my car.
"You and I, Honey." Andrew continued. "We actually have a lot more in common than you think.."
"I am nothing like you, Asshole!" Elizabeth blurted out, pinning her eyes back at him.
"Now, now.." He move closer to her, index finger moving side to side. "That's no way to speak to your Brother..."
E l i z a b e t h
Andrew's words kept playing in the back of my head. Brother? Andrew Colt is claiming to be my brother? Am I hearing this right? This can't possibly be? A-And Jack never told me any of this? There has to be a mistake!
"Brother?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
My head turned over to look back at Jack; mentally praying that he'll shouting something like.. Stop Making Up Lies! Or something? Anything! But no, instead, he remained silent.
My whole body ached. All throughout this night I've been pushed around, tied up, and even had a mask over my head and was thrown in the back of a strangers car, away from Jack not knowing if I was ever going to see him or my family and friends ever again. Though it was all painful, none of it compared to this. This right here where Jack can barely even look at me was probably what hurt the most.
"Jack, is this true?"
"Tell her, Jack." Colt spun around again, this time making his way back to Jack.
My heart beat faster, not knowing what he was going to do next. I've been watching him play with a blade ever since I was unmasked and all I can think of is when and on who he was going to use it on.
"Now that the cat's out of the bag, tell my sister here how you figured it out?" He rested his arm over Jack's shoulder.
Jack continued to look at me, ignoring Colt and his question completely.
"Elizabeth, I am so sorry— I wanted to tell you—"
What..
He knew...?
"WRONG!" Andrew immediately latched out on Jack, punching him right in the stomach in order for him to fall down on his knees.
A scream was released from my mouth as I watched him fall. The grip the two men had on me intensified once more as I tried to rush over to his limping body. I was pulled back, crashing hard onto their front side. I began to freak out as I watched my boy grow in pain by Andrew's action. His men kept him from staying in the ground much longer.
"That wasn't what I asked." Andrew shook his head. "Man, Gilinsky, I thought you were smart!"
Walking away from him, Colt walked over to the top few steps he was standing on when I first saw him. There were two other men there too, securing his every side. There were more in every door of the place too.
There was defiantly no way out of this one.
"Anyways," Colt continued. "Yes, Elizabeth, you and I are actually related. You can thank our father for that."
What? My father? This is insane! No!
"My father never had any other kids? He would've told us." I fought against the grip on the men.
"Well, there's actually more to Daddy that meets the eye." He arched a brow.
My eyes kept turning back to look at Jack. He was so ashamed— So scared. Little did he know Now was when I needed him to speak to me the most..
"Jack..." My voice cracked. "Y-You knew about this..?"
Jack struggled to speak. He looked in so much pain. God knows what they did to him on his way here.
"When I saw that picture of your father in Thanksgiving..." He squinted his eyes. "I saw how much your father looked like Andrew's—"
"Yeah, the man who's formula you're trying to STEAL!" Colt jumped in, pushing Jack hard on the chest, making him stumble back on his feet.
"STOP!" I exclaimed, yelling from the roof of my mouth.
Andrew stopped and glanced from Jack's body back to mine. An evil smirk grew in his lips. I feared for my life the moment that he began to make his way up to me again. Jack was in the background yelling for him to get away from me, but all of his threats went in through one ear and out the other. Colt didn't listen.
"You're going to defend him?" He arched a brow, hands immediately reaching to grip over my jaw. His hand pressed hard. I felt my heart begin to beat out of my chest as his cold breath fanned over my cheeks. "This guy has lied to you— Plenty of times— And now the little creation that my father has, our father has— He wants to take it?"
"Elizabeth he's lying—" Jack coughed. "It's not like that.."
I didn't know what to believe anymore. My head pounded with thoughts, planning what to say next and envisioning the consequences to every possible phrase.
"I don't know anything about a formula.." I explained. "My father was a baker!"
My father can not possibly be involved in this world. It's just not possible. My father would never touch a woman the way Andrew is doing to me right now. He wouldn't hurt a fly as if! And regarding the formula—The only formula he had was a secret cannoli recipe passed down by family generations. There must be an error here.
"Oh, you know." Andrew laughed, forcefully releasing his grip on my face. "Tell her, Jack."
Jack was grunting but kept a stiff face. He wasn't showing one sign of defeat. His jaw was locked, arms prominent in anger. But then he looked back at me and somehow, relaxed.
"Dominic Baines, Liz." His eyes closed. "The legend racer I told you about—He's your father."
"Well," Colt interrupted. "Dominic Baines was a stage name. His real name was William Viera Stevens."
My eyes went wide.
"After he and my mom had me, he left us. He fell in love with some other lady and changed his name again to David Viera— That's when he had you." Colt explained.
No. This couldn't be possible. There was no way—
"I'll give you a moment." Colt spoke. "I had to take one too when I found out you were my sister." He laughed.
Andrew was now passing across the floor in front of us.
"You know, I was looking for you.." He stopped, eyes looking back at me. "Not you specifically, but the family my father left us for."
My eyes looked up, pushing my thoughts aside to finish listening to what Colt had to say.
"I wanted to kill you all— Get revenge for what my mother and I had to go through." He explained. "You had the perfect life. You were the ones my father loved. I never even met my father. And he never bothered to reach out to me."
"That doesn't sound like him, Andrew." I interrupted. "You must be mistaken."
"Oh no." He shook his head. "I'm pretty clear on the type of person he was." A small grin approached his lips. "Anyways, I was going to kill you— But then I realized, maybe this was meant to happen..."
"What are you talking about?" I asked bewildered.
"I know you have the formula, Elizabeth." He took a step forward, stomping in his ground towards me.
"What? No?" I shook my head. "I told you, I don't know anything about a formula?"
Jack stepped in again. "She just found out who her father was, c'mon Colt, you can't really believe she has the formula?"
"Well I don't have it?" Colt shrugged. "And the script says only the bloodline of William Stevens will have access to the ingredients."
"So?" Jack asked.
"So... I never spoke a word to the guy." Colt's arms raised. "How would expect me to have a formula from a man I never even met before? It has to be her." Colts footsteps made their way closer to me. My cautiousness heightened as I noticed his jaw begin to grip again.
"Andrew, believe me I don't know anything about a formula." I begged.
"Liar!" He yelled, standing right in front of me. "You know it, he just never obviously mentioned it to you. Remember Liz, I am the way I am because I am part of him too. He's devious, he was just better at hiding it than I am."
"Andrew, please, I don't know anything." I kept begging, fear overpowering my senses.
I envisioned Colt hurting me, he had enough access to do so. But once my eyes opened again, I noticed he was now walking back over to Jack.
"Think hard, Elizabeth." He smiled back at me. The dagger, once before in his pocket was now firmly in his grip. "I wouldn't want to pressure it out of you—"
My eyes widened, mouth fell agape as I watched Colt's hand raise with the blade. Jack was breathing heavily as the silver object approached his chest.
The screams fell terrifyingly out of my mouth. Colt waved the silver object around his entire front, teasing all the lines he would cut into his skin. My heart was racing, lips became dry. Colt's hand finally brought the blade over to the top of his chest, the tip of the knife slowly tracing a line across it.
"STOP!" I begged.
The tears cried out of my eyes as I watched Andrew painfully slice the shirt of my boyfriend. Blood began to ooze from the wound. Jack's screams could be heard all throughout the room. Colt displayed a smile of vengeance, enjoying the reaction he was drawing from both of us.
"STOP, ANDREW! Please don't hurt him!" I screams. My legs became weak, seeing Jack's body effortlessly fall to the ground. The two men still holding him up by the arms.
"Give me the formula." He walked back to me, his knife dripping of the blood he drew from the surface of Jack's skin. "That's all I want."
"I told you—"I let out in a cry. "I don't have the formula—" I couldn't help but turn to look back at Jack. His pain only made the tears fall from my face even faster. I had to do something.. Anything...
"But I know someone that might." I released.
Colt was intrigued.
"Elizabeth— No.." Jack winced in the background. Eyes squinting shut to hold in his pain.
Ignoring him, Colt continued his walk back over to me. His expression intrigued. "Who?"
"Let me be with Jack." I pinned my eyes at him.
"What?" He asked.
"You hurt him and he's in pain.." I hissed. "LET ME BE WITH JACK!"
"Seriously? After all the the lying he's done to you? You still want to be with him..?"
I remained silent and still, watching Colt's eyes turn from me back to Jack. He ended up laughing in the end.
"How are we even related?" He laughed. "Fine.. Let her go." He instructed.
All of a sudden, the arms of the two men besides me were released. I didn't hesitate to look around. The moment I had the chance I ran up to Jack who was now too released from the men's hold. His body remained weak on the ground; coughing up blood as I approached him.
"Jack, Jack." My knees hit the ground, hands reaching up to grab onto his face. His eyes were all over the place as he tried to hold them focused on me.
"Liz.."
"Shh." I grabbed onto his hair, pulling him closer to my chest as I embraced him. My hand reached behind his back, gripping onto the fabric of his shirt before I realized he was bleeding. I pulled away, removing my coat to display my T-shirt.
"Liz, what are you—"
My top was removed. I wore a tank top under and remained in that so that my t shirt can be pressed onto his front. It didn't seem like a deep cut but he was still bleeding and I couldn't just leave him like that.
"Elizabeth, put your coat on." He squinted his eyes, trying to push his body further up the ground.
"I'm fine." I whipped away a tear, pressing my T-shirt onto his chest.
Jack winced in pain, his body fully recovering from the ground to stand up tall. His hand was placed over my own which was still gripped over his wound.
"Well, you're with your boyfriend again." Colt spoke, whipping off Jack's blood from blade with his index finger. "Now tell me Elizabeth—who has the formula?"
"I-I don't know if they have it, but they must know something about it." I looked back at him, body standing besides Jack's.
"I'm listening." Colt crossed his arms over his chest.
"Elizabeth, you don't have to do this." Jack shook his head.
I ignored Jack. This is something even I had to know for myself.
"My mother." I spoke. "If I really do know something about my father is how much he loved her. He wouldn't marry her and start a family with her if she didn't know what she was getting herself into. She might know."
There was a moment of silence. Neither one of the guys said a word. My mom had to know something. There is no way my father would ever marry her if she didn't know what it was he did. I remember Jack telling me the story about this legendary driver, my father. If that man is truly my father then she obviously knows something.
"Fine." Colt spoke. "I'm going to give you three weeks, Sis. Get me that formula, and I'll stay away. From you and your family..."
The heavy lump was swallowed down my throat before I noticed Colt clap his hands.
"Take then away now." He smirked. "I'll be seeing you guys later."
And with that said, a black mask was pulled over our heads once more.
