Daniel's POV

X- BOO!

Daniel- AHH!

I screamed and dropped the shovel as someone jumped on my back.

Joey- Haha! I scared you!

Daniel- Eh, you're annoying!

Joey- But you wuv me!

Daniel- True...

He hopped off my back.

Joey- Look what I made us!

He pulls out two little flower crowns from behind his back.

Daniel- Awe, they're so cute!

He placed one on my head and then one on his own.

Daniel- Awweee! You look adorable!

He scrunched up his nose and I grabbed his hips. Then I lent forward and left a little kiss on his cute little nose.

Joey- You missed!

Daniel- Wha-

He cut me off with a kiss on the lips and I kissed back immediately.

Once we both mutually pulled away we walked hand in hand through the castle gardens, making sure that there was no one around each corner.

I wish we didn't have to be so cautious of being spotted. I wish we could just openly show our love for each other. What a world that would be to live in.

After a while of just peacefully walking through the gardens, Joey had to go back to the castle and I had to and garden some more.

Daniel- Bye sweetie.

Joey- Bye my love, i'll see you later.

I gave him one last kiss before we went in separate directions.

Joey's POV

As I was walking back to the castle I heard voices around the corner of the tidy, trimmed hedge.

X- And these are the castle gardens...

It sounds like my father.

King- Ah! Joseph, there you are!

Joey- Um, hello father, hello Princess Catherine.

Cat- Oh please, call me Cat.

She said smiling.

Joey- Oh... uh, okay Cat.

I fake smiled back.

King- We were just discussing plans for the wedding, which is in two weeks time. Come, walk with us son.

I followed behind as they strolled through the gardens.

King- So, It's going to be a big, extravagant wedding and all of the important people in the Kingdom shall be invited. There will be flowers and lots of-

Joey- Can Daniel be my best man?

I cut him off. If I can't marry Daniel, I at least want him to be there.

King- That servant? Oh no, no, no. I've already decided your best man, it is going to be Catherine's brother. Actually he should have arrive at the castle by now, let's head back so you two can be introduced.

Joey- Oh... okay.

I said sadly, I knew my Father didn't want me to mention Daniel in front of Cat.

We continued talking about stupid details for the wedding until we made it back to the castle. Once we were back we waiting in the foyer for Cat's brother to arrive. 

After a few minutes the main castle door began to open. In came some guards and behind them was a boy, I assume was Cat's brother.

X- Hello!

I can't believe this.

Why him?

Of all people.

In the entire land.

It was.

Him.

It was...

Tyler.

Tyler- Hello my wonderful sister! Hello Prince Joseph, it's lovely to meet you! My name is Tyler!

He said with a cheery smile and stuck out his hand for me to shake.

I reluctantly shook it because both Cat and the King were watching.

King- It was actually Tyler here who introduced me to Princess Cat, so you can thank him for this wonderful wedding we're planning!

Joey- Wait, you're Princess Cat's brother? You're a Prince?

Tyler- Why yes Prince Joseph, I am indeed.

He smirked and I desperately tried to not let my anger show through.

Joey- Um ..Prince.. Tyler, might I be able to speak with you alone, uh, about the wedding...

Tyler- Of course, I look forward to be your best man!

I walked into the library and he followed. Once I shut the door behind us I went off.

Joey- WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

Tyler- What on earth do you mean Prince Joseph?

He said sarcastically.

Joey- Don't pretend you don't know!

Tyler- Don't you get it Joey, this is my plan! And there's nothing you can do about it! Anything you try tell your father will only result in you outing yourself! You have to marry my sister and once you do there is nothing you can do to stop me! Daniel will be mine!

Joey- You're psychotic!

Tyler- I'm psychotic? Say's the gay Prince who's about to marry a princess. I can only imagine how your so called 'love of your life' feels about this.

He says fake dramatic tone.

Joey- You don't know anything!

Tyler- Oh but I do! Do you think Daniel is actually okay with you doing this? Do you think he likes being your someone on the side? Your toy?

Joey- Says you! You only used him as some toy!

Tyler- I LOVE him! He deserves better than you, he deserves me!

Joey- You don't think I know that he deserves more than me!? But since I love him, I have to protect him from people like you!

Tyler- Oh and you're doing a great job of that! Aren't you Prince Joey? Or should I say soon-to-be married King Joseph?

He said sarcastically and bowed mockingly.

Joey- As King my first order will be to banish YOU!

Tyler- It might be a little late by then Prince Joseph... Well I must be going, there are many wedding details to prepare, is there not?

He said smugly before strolling out of the room. I stood there shocked for a moment before I became angry.

Joey- AH! Why does Tyler have to ruin EVERYTHING! My nightmare is coming true!

I paced around the empty, albeit books, library.

Joey- I won't let anything happen to Daniel, not this time, even if it's the last thing I do...

~Twenty minutes later~

I lay on my bed on my back. Daniel was to my side, curled into me.

I didn't tell him what happened early, I know he would freak out if he knew Tyler was here.

One question was running through my mind; Daniel know that Tyler is also a Prince?

Joey- Hey Danny?

Daniel- Yes?

Joey- Do you- uh... never mind...

Daniel- What? Um... okay?

I couldn't ask him without him finding out Tyler is here. 

Oh well.

~Later that evening~

We were cuddled up, wrapped around each other. 

Daniel was playing with my hair as I fiddled with his bracelet.

It was rather fascinating, there was obviously a magic to it.

I looked closely at the words inscribed into it.

Te iubesc.

The first time we said 'I love you' to each other, this is what he said.

Later he told me he had never known what that meant until the day he said it.

It told him to say it, because it was the right time.

I knew what it meant because I was learning Romanian in my studies since it is one of the neighboring countries.

I looked closer at the two separated ends.

They looked familiar, but from something else.

I looked at the box resting on the chair by my bed.

Then back at the bracelet.

And back at the box.

I took his hand and held the bracelet in front of the box.

I gasped.

Daniel- What are you doing?

Joey- Just look!

I grabbed the box.

I pressed the separated ends of his bracelet into the two indents on the box.

The box... it opened...
