Chapter 5 - The Wedding
Fenna eventually made it back to the dungeons and reached the cell where she left the guard.
"Hey~" Fenna waved, walking over to him.
"Come to let me out now?" The guard walked up to the bars.
"No, I have a job for you." Fenna answered.
"Not interested, elf." The guard crossed his arms.
Fenna was about to threaten the guard once more when she was grabbed, her wrists put into magic blocking chains with metal coverings over her hands.
That's when Fenna heard a giggle from behind her, "Surprise!"
Fenna sighed,"I should've seen this coming."
"You really should've." Amala turned to the front of Fenna.
"How am I supposed to make your wedding look better like this?" Fenna asked, lifting the heavy chains.
"Hm, you can sit at the back where no one can see you." Amala shrugged with a hum.
Fenna attempted to use her fire but nothing. She couldn't burn through.
"That won't work. They're enchanted." Amala got a key out and let the guard out of the cell.
"Couldn't tell." Fenna rolled her eyes.
"Richard. Take Fenna up to a room and get Dawn to help her get ready for the wedding. I can't have her looking like.. that." Amala pointed at Fenna.
"I think I look stylish, thank you very much." Fenna stated as she was grabbed.
Amala held back a laugh, "Keep thinking that. Well, off to see your friends!"
She patted Fenna's head before she skipped away.
"Which one of you losers is Richard?" Fenna asked.
"We don't need to answer to you." One of the guards stated while they dragged her.
"No wonder you're single." Fenna scoffed.
**
"She hasn't returned yet." Sparrow poked her head out of the door.
"Maybe she got lost?" Amber suggested.
"Seymour, is Fenna usually the type to get lost?" Sparrow asked Seymour while she walked up to him.
"No. She has a great sense of directions and her surroundings." Seymour stated, crossing his arms.
"Somethings wrong then." Sparrow walked back over to the portrait.
"Maybe the guard's being uncooperative." Amber shrugged.
"Let's hope." Seymour sighed.
"That's all we can do." Amber nodded.
After another minute, Sparrow shook her head, "I don't think Fenna's okay."
"That's probably her. Just calm down." Amber told them.
"I am perfectly calm, now run." Seymour told them, pushing them out the door.
"We're not leaving you." Sparrow turned around to face Seymour.
"You're right. I'm leaving you, not the other way around." Seymour stated.
"Well, you're not leaving us. We don't leave friends." Sparrow crossed her arms.
Seymour sighed before shutting the door as an all familiar voice spoke to Seymour.
"You weren't too bored without me, were you?" Amala asked him.
"It was rather relaxing, actually." Seymour replied.
"Don't worry, it's just ten minutes before the wedding." Amala smiled before handing him a suit.
Seymour waited a few seconds before he took the suit, immediately putting it on the chair.
"You get changed. I'll turn around and the guards will get the creepers by the door." Amala told him, turning away.
"We're not creepers." Amber crossed her arms.
"You don't have to get changed, Seymour." Sparrow sighed.
That's when Sparrow was grabbed and a bracelet attached to her wrist while Amber was pinched between the guards fingers, getting a tiny bracelet attached to her. The guards nodded, taking Sparrow and Amber out of the room. On their way they passed a room with lots of banging around before they were pushed into one at the end of the hall.
"This is really happening. Isn't it?" Sparrow put her head in her hands.
"Sadly yes." Amber crossed her arms as small fabrics were tossed at her.
Sparrow was thrown the same, just larger, "Where do you think Fenna is?"
"The elf? She's with Dawn." The witch dressing them stated.
"That doesn't help. Who's Dawn?" Sparrow rolled her eyes.
"A stern witch." The dresser told her.
"You do realise you're giving me hardly any room to breathe in this corset, right?" Sparrow turned her head to look at the dresser.
"Well, that's the point. The more you breathe, the more you can fight back. You think we have a choice?" The dresser raised a brow.
"Of course you have a choice." Sparrow nodded, "Forget about Amara."
"That's not how it works. She keeps the person you care about most in the dungeons and if you don't comply, they get the axe." The dresser explained.
"I'm terrible sorry." Sparrow sighed, "No one should have a Queen like that."
"I'm surprised that little boy didn't get her when he could." The dresser stated, digging in a drawer.
"Little boy?" Sparrow questioned, "Do you mean Seymour?"
"Not the groom, the small child with the purple eyes." The dresser took out a comb.
"Allister?" Sparrow tilted her head, "Does Amala have his mother?"
"So that's who that old lady is." The dresser handed Sparrow the comb,"But yes, that's who I'm talking about."
Sparrow took the comb and began combing her hair, "Will Allister and his mother meet again?'
"Who knows, some people haven't seen their loved ones in years." The dresser picked up Amber.
"That's awful." Amber looked up at the dresser.
"Might I ask your name?" Sparrow looked at the dresser.
"Rowan." The dresser told her, braiding Amber's hair.
"That's a lovely name." Amber hummed.
"Y'know Amala means 'beloved'. How wrongly Raven named her." The dresser shook her head, setting ber down on the desk.
"Is Raven here? Alive, that is." Sparrow began combing the other side of her hair.
"Nobody knows, she's probably hidden deep in the dungeons. She just vanished one day, the day after her and Amara met the groom bad elf." Rowan shrugged.
"Do you think Raven could sort Amala out? Stop her madness?" Sparrow questioned.
"She could possibly, that's if we find her." Rowan replied.
**
"Dawn, why are all these outfits so ugly?" Fenna questioned.
"It's what Amala wants. Besides, I would put you into something nicer." Dawn sighed.
"How am I supposed to run in this?" Fenna picked up a dress.
"You're not." Dawn replied.
"Are they going to muzzle me too?" Fenna asked, looking at the chains that Dawn took off so she could change.
"Of course not. You know I don't like the idea of this, or the chains but Amala doesn't want to take any chances." Dawn sighed while she placed the chains to the side.
Fenna crossed her arms,"I have decided to be stubborn now. I refuse to wear this."
"It's either you dress yourself and comply, or I dress you." Dawn turned to her.
"I-I'll dress myself." Fenna caved almost instantly,"What hideous outfit am I wearing?"
Dawn walked over to a wardrobe and brought a dress out, it was lilac and stopped just below her knees.
"I mean, at least I'll be able to run on the spot." Fenna shrugged, taking the dress.
"Not with the chains." Dawn reminded her, turning around so Fenna could change.
Fenna quickly changed before sighing as she looked at the chains.
"I don't like this anymore than you do." Dawn turned back around.
"Purple is definitely not my best colour." Fenna shook her head walking over to the chains.
"It does suit you though." Dawn nodded, holding the chains open.
Fenna rolled her eyes, slipping her wrists through the chains and her hands were covered once more.
"I'm sorry. They're not the most comfortable." Dawn apologied while she clipped them shut.
"I'm so happy. Yay." Fenna said sarcastically.
Dawn gave Fenna a look, "Don't use a tone."
"You're not my mother, I have no mother." Fenna tried to cross her arms.
"You'll hurt yourself." Dawn sighed, "Now come along. You can see your friends before we take you to the Chapel."
"Fine." Fenna agreed, still with her little attitude.
"They'll be off before you know it." Dawn assured her before she knocked on the door.
"Come in." Rowan called out to her.
Dawn walked in with Fenna, closing the door behind them. Both Sparrow and Amber were in the same outfit as Fenna, Amber's was smaller of course.
"See guys? I totally didn't get captured by Amala in the dungeons." Fenna stated.
"We're just glad you're okay." Amber sighed.
"Are the chains necessary? Why can't Fenna have what Amber and I have?" Sparrow held up her wrist that had the bracelet on it.
"Because I'm a greater threat, we've met and fought before so she knows my limits." Fenna informed her.
"Do they hurt?" Sparrow asked.
"No, but they will if I bash you over the head with them." Fenna joked.
"Which you can't do because you are unable to lift them that high." Dawn reminded her.
"Ah, so I can bash you over the head. How lovely." Sparrow hummed.
"They're heavy." Fenna complained as a loud bell rang out.
"Is that time?" Amber looked at them all.
"Yes. Let's go." Dawn nodded briefly, dragging Fenna out of the room.
Rowan held Amber in her hand and took Sparrow's arm before she took them out the room. Eventually they reached a chapel, it was beautiful yet eerie. While Sparrow and Amber were seated around the front, Fenna was chained to a wall at the back.
"Where are they?" Sparrow whispered to Amber, looking around.
"I don't know." Amber answered her.
Sparrow sighed, leaning back in her chair while she glanced at Fenna. She could tell the chains weren't comfortable.
"When I break out you're going to regret this." Fenna warned them.
"You won't be able to break out." The guard rolled his eyes.
"Oh yeah?" Fenna raised a brow, starting to struggle against the chains.
"They won't break. But have fun trying." The guard crossed his arms.
Fenna kept trying for another few minutes before falling down, completely exhausted as a trumpet sounded. The guards straightened themselves up while the doors opened. Seymour walked out first to the alter, shocked as he looked back and saw what they had done to his friend. Soon enough, Seymour got to the front, he stood there looking for a way out of there. But there was no way out. That's when Amala walked out in a long, grey dress. She smirked as she walked past Fenna who immediately starting struggling again when she saw Amala. Sparrow turned around and looked at Fenna, giving her a look to say 'calm down.' Fenna shook her head and continued struggling before two guards grabbed her, forcing her to stop. Then, the priest walked in once Amala stood across from Seymour.
"Amala, state your vows." The priest nodded.
"I Amala, take you Seymour to be my husband, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live." Amala stated her vows, smiling at Seymour.
The priest then turned to Seymour,"And you, Seymour."
Seymour rolled his eyes and sighed,"I Seymour, son of Romulus, take you Amala to be my wife. To blah blah blah. I'm done."
"You're meant to do it properly." Amala dropped her smile, "Remember what I said, sweetheart."
Seymour sighed again before continuing,"To cherish this day for all eternity and respect you as more than a friend. I will trust and share my problems with you. I give you my hand, heart and my love from this day forward and for as long as we both shall live."
The priest turned back to Amala, "Do you take this man to be your husband?"
"I do!" Amala announced.
"And Seymour, do you take this woman to be your wife?" The priest asked.
Before Seymour could answer, they all heard a crash from outside.
"Is it time for me to say I object?" Fenna asked drowsily.
Amala giggled softly, lifting her dress up while she stormed to the doors.
"Let me in, I'm late." Came a familiar voice.
They all looked at the doors, Amber and Sparrow exchanging looks at each other, "Is that?.."
That's when the door broke down. It was Alec and he was riding Amy! Alec jumped off Amy while she jumped on Amala, pushing her to the ground.
"I thought I told you to stay put." Seymour stated.
"And I thought I told you not to get into any trouble." Alec rolled his eyes, walking up to Seymour.
He then grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him to his lips, kissing him. The whole chapel was speechless and surprisingly, the first person to start clapping was the priest. Amy baa'd while she took the key from the guards, going to Fenna and helped her out of her cuffs and chains.
"No!" Amala yelled, getting up.
"Sit you a*s back down before you don't exist anymore." Fenna ordered, beginning to walk over but falling.
Amala looked at Fenna before she stormed out the Chapel, the guards following her. Sparrow and Amber quickly ran over to Fenna's side and helped her up.
"Are you okay?" Sparrow asked her.
"Yeah, just very tired." Fenna nodded, slowly making her way over to the boys.
"That was unexpected." Amber flew over to the boys who had just pulled away.
"What made you come save us? Fenna asked him.
"I sensed something was wrong." Alec shrugged, his hand was holding Seymour.
"You two are adorable, you know that?" Fenna tilted her head.
"He's one for dramatics." Seymour chuckled.
"Oh, we all know that." Fenna stated, sitting down on a chair.
"Where did Amala go?" Amber asked.
"She ran out, now let's go before she gets reinforcements." Fenna answered
"Fenna, you can hardly walk. Nevermind escape." Amber turned to her.
"I can make us a portal." Fenna told them but no fire came from her hands,"Or not."
Amy jumped up and baa'd.
"Yes, I'm fine." Fenna answered her.
She baa'd again, lifting her two front legs up.
"You sure?" Fenna asked,"I can try again."
Amy the sheep just baa'd and shook her head.
"What is she saying?" Alec questioned.
"That she can make a portal." Fenna informed them.
"What type of sheep are you?" Sparrow looked at Amy.
"A magic sheep." Fenna stated.
"Anything is possible right now." Sparrow nodded slowly.
"Take it away, Amy." Amber told her.
Amy baa'd and twirled around a few times before a portal appeared in front of them.
"How? Just how?" Seymour sighed, looking at the portal.
Amy glared at Seymour before she jumped into the portal.
"You only live once." Fenna shrugged, stepping through the portal.
"She's right." Amber shrugged before the rest of them jumped through.
