Chapter 13

"I don't know... I mean I love the cream one, but a red head always looks fantastic in green," Ginny chuckled as she tapped her chin, whilst observing the two dresses she had laid out on her bed.

The four of us had returned from Hogwarts for the winter holidays. Today, the day of Christmas, a couple of people are coming over. Remus and Tonks would be arriving around dinner. Matthew, Mackenzie, George, Fred, and Chloe would be arriving soon, whilst Bill and Fleur would be arriving in the next hour or so. This would be my first time meeting Fleur seeing as I had met Bill last year after one of the Order's meetings.

"Are you even listening?" Ginny groaned flopping onto my bed, which was just across the narrow room from hers.

"Yes, I was," I told her after writing some more notes in my notebook for my potions homework. "And I suggest you go with the cream. It's a bit more casual, has sleeves, is knitted - so it will keep you warm - and anyways, green is way too cliche on Christmas, Ginny."

"Your points have been taken into account..." she noted picking up the cream dress and looking at herself in a body length mirror. "I've chosen the cream dress."

I shook my head and chuckled. I took off my reading glasses and set them aside as well as my notes book. "I mean took you long enough, Gin. I've been dressed ever since one."

"So?"

"It's five now," I pointed out.

Ginny playfully glared at me. "Well I'm sorry I can't pull everything off like you, Bella."

"Yeah, yeah," I dismissed. "I'm going to help your mom in the kitchen while you get dressed."

"Okay, bye-bye," she said waving me out of her room.

I walked down a couple of flights and arrived in the living room. I was about to continue into the kitchen when I heard a familiar voice.

"Bella!"

I looked over my shoulder to see Matty. Grinning widely, I ran over to him. He engulfed me in a huge hug, whispering that he had missed me into my ear, only to receive the same response from me. When he released me I looked to my right to see Mackenzie who smiled at me nervously.

"Hey, Bella," she greeted kindly.

"Hi, Mackenzie," I responded, the giving her a smile before engulfing her in a hug.

She seemed a bit taken back at first, but eventually hugged me back.

"So, what's been going on-" I started to ask before Harry interrupted me.

"Hey, Matt!" he exclaimed, picking up a slight pace till he got over here.

He and Matt shook hand hands, exchanging joyful looks.

"Well, well, well," I said with raised eyebrows. "When have you two gotten so friendly?"

"We've been sending letters to each other every now and then," Matty told me.

I smirked slightly and replied with, "Good. It's about time you guys got close."

Then there was a loud and obnoxious giggle from behind me. I didn't need to turn around, let alone did I want to turn around to see her.

"Oh, sorry, did I interrupt something?" Chloe asked stupidly, after receiving multiple annoyed looks by the people surrounding me.

My teeth clenched at the sound of her voice. I mean it's like listening to a broken record player that just continues to screech.

Just then hand was placed on my shoulder, causing me to jump slightly.

"Hey, Bella," George greeted me.

My annoyed face softened into a small smile as I gave him a hug on my tippy-toes.

"How's my un-related red head?" he asked when we had released each other.

I sighed, running a hand threw my hair. "Stressed out," I chuckled.

"Aren't we all," he agreed.

"So, how's the shop?" I questioned. "I'm continuously seeing little first years covering their noses which are spurring out blood."

He gave me a lopsided grin before telling me how successful his and Fred's business was doing. George then continued on by telling me how Matty and Mackenzie were becoming his top cutest couple. Soon, the two of us were joking like the good old times... like nothing was wrong... like I wasn't the number one target of Voldemort...

Some time later, the fire place lit up with a fiery, green glow. Out stepped Bill. His long shaggy hair fell down to his shoulders, as well as his dragon tooth earring. Even for a nice event like this, he wore his usual leather jacket and dragon skin boots.

Every ones heads looked over in his direction and began smiling. Many people went over to him to greet him with hugs and hellos. But everything went silent when another person walked out of the fireplace. She had long, silvery-blonde hair and pearly white skin. From the outside you can assume that she might be sorta snobby... but at the moment she looked a bit nervous.

"Hello," she said softly.

Everyone murmured a hello to her as Ginny -who had come down minutes ago- coughed out Phlegm. Then all attention was turned back to Bill.

I arose from the couch and walked over to Fleur. She eyed me curiously as I walked over to her.

"Hi, I'm Bella," I smiled, holding out my hand.

She looked at my hand for about a minutes before grabbing it lightly, shaking it carefully.

"Hello, I'm Fleur," she told me, giving me a small smile before releasing her hand. "Are you 'arry's sista?"

"I am," I confirmed.

Then we stood in an awkward silence before I had told her that I was going to help Mrs. Weasley in the kitchen.

So I walked into the kitchen where Mrs. Weasley gave me plates to set and vegetables to slice.

There was a knock on the door some two hours later, and in came Tonks and Remus. After my aunt and uncle had died, Remus had signed off on being my legal guardian. Over the summer I had spent sometime with him, although his monthly issues is why I was landed with the Weasley's.

I left the kitchen to see the two walk through the door.

"Hello, Happy Christmas," Tonks smiled enthusiastically.

Remus looked over towards me and smiled. I gave him one in response, making my way over to them and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Hey, Bell," he chuckled, rubbing my back soothingly. "How's life?"

"Just great," I told him sarcastically. "How about you?"

"Just as great as yours apparently, telling by your attitude," he continued chuckling.

"Great, just in time you two," Mrs. Weasley sighed rubbing her hands with a dish towel. "We've just finished setting up the table. Come on everyone. Time to eat."

The enlarged family all gathered into the dinning room. It still shocked me how we were all able to fit comfortably, but I guess that's the beauty of magic.

It's funny how we all sat at the table talking, eating, even laughing as if we didn't know the horrors that where going on right outside the front door.

Once almost everyone was finished with their dinners, there was a light tapping on glass from the middle of the table. All heads turned to the sound to see that Matty and Mackenzie had stood up, hand in hand.

"We have an announcement to make," Matty told the room, smiling fondly down at Mackenzie. "We have pooled our money together and decided to rent out an apartment... together."

There was an outburst of 'Congratulations' and 'I knew you two were a good couple'. Through all the shouting, Matty looked over at me with a look that said 'What do you think'. My only response was to nod with a bright smile of approval.

"Wait!" a voice yelled over everything.

Everyone was silent as all heads turned to face Chloe. She smiled devilishly once all eyes were on her.

"Fred has asked me to move in with him."

Usually this would be a period of silence... but that isn't what happened. You see, George was taking a sip of his butterbeer at the time of the announcement. So once everyone else went quiet, that butterbeer was splattered all over me, the one who was sitting across from George.

"Why me?" I groaned wiping my face.

Not soon after their announcement, Mrs. Weasley asked to speak to a shocked but excited Fred. So everyone left the dinning room and went their own places in the house. Bill and Fleur went to their rooms and the rest of us stayed I the living room. George, Ginny, Ron, Matty, and Mackenzie started a heated conversation where they would look over at Chloe, who sat in the corner filing her nails. Tonk's was in the bathroom while Harry, Remus, Mr. Weasley, and I sat in some chairs by the first.

"Mr. Weasley, remember what I told you at the beginning of the year at the train station?" Harry asked.

"I've checked," Mr. Weasley quickly stated. "I went to the Malfoy's personally, and saw nothing that wasn't suppose to be there."

"Yes, I know. I've read it in the prophet," Harry said a bit rushed. "But you see, Isabella and I overheard Snape and Draco talking. Snape was telling Draco that they needed his help. Draco just kept on refusing saying that he and Dylan could do the job by themselves, but then Snape said something about how he had made an unforgivable curse. What I'm trying to say is that I think they are up to something... and I think Snape is helping."

Both Mr. Weasley and Remus listened intently. They looked to me for confirmation and I merly nodded. There was a moment of silence were the two of them pondered amongst their thoughts.

"Harry, has it ever occurred to you that maybe he was just pretending? To get more information," Mr. Weasley suggested.

"Yes, I did think of that," Harry told him quickly. "But then I thought, what if he isn't just pretending? What if he really is on their side? What if he's helping Draco and Dylan? I mean, we already know Dylan is death eater, it's obvious that Draco would become one too!"

I gulped stressfully as my face grew pale. I knew what Draco was... but I couldn't have them knowing. Then they would start keeping a closer eye on him and who knows what they might find out.

"I'll be right back," I said shortly, my voice getting caught in my throat.

Standing up, I dusted myself off and calmly walked out of the living room. I made my way to Ginny's room where I fell on to the bed, hands over my face.

Oh god, I thought to myself. Why is this all happening to me?

"Bella?" Ginny said walking I the room. "What's going on?"

I swallowed nervously as I rubbed my face with my hands. "Nothing's going on, Gin. I just don't feel-"

"Lies," she snapped. "You're hiding something... and it has to do with Draco. Don't think I forgot that night we were out after curfew."

Well shit. Damn, Gin, I love you and everything but you need to stop prying.

"Gin, I swear it's nothing," I told her with slight attitude. "If it was something for you to know, I would tell you."

I moved my hands from my face then crossed them over my chest with a huff. Out of the corner of my eye I watched as Ginny took a second, standing in the doorway. Then in a swift second, she walked over, grabbed a pillow from her bed then began violently hitting me with it.

"Ah! What the hell? Get off me you psychopath!" I screeched attempting to block myself.

"You better tell me everything!" She yelled. "I swear! If you bottle things up and don't tell anyone you'll end up like Alex! And look were that's landed her!"

Ooo, harsh.

"But-"

Ginny then slapped my face with the pillow very hard. "No."

Silence over took the room. We stared into each other's eyes, Ginny's were glaring at me and mine were pleading. After a pregnant pause of painting, Ginny's eyes widened.

"Oh my..." She gasped covering her mouth. "No... How? When? Why? Why him?!"

I let out a shaky sigh. To be honest, I was half relieved that I didn't have to say anything and that Ginny could read me like a freaking book. I was also half frightened at how she would now look at me.

"Please don't tell a-anyone," I pleaded, my voice cracking.

I then continued onto explaining to her everything. From that first time our hands slightly touched in potions class to when I attempted to get into his pants. I even told her that I have reason to believe I was in love with him... Because I think I do love him. I love the way he makes me feel, and the way he treats me. I love the fact that we have a hidden relationship like a Romeo and Juliet love story. And over all... I love that he cares.

I've fallen hard, and it's going to be a long recovery... That is if I can recover.

"Wow... That's a lot to take in," Ginny told me in a monotone.

"Yeah..." I agreed awkwardly.

"I'm going to take a shower... I'll be right back," she notified me before leaving the room.

Groaning, I slammed my face into my pillow. After waiting about five minutes, I feel asleep. Sleep was just basically my hobby now a days. It just came to me so naturally when ever I needed it.

~

My mind had dreamt me to a place where there was nothing. Nothing but darkness.

"There are only so many things in the world that one person can have," a voice rung out into the darkness. "Some are more fortunate then others. You my dear Isabella, are so very fortunate. You are gifted with so much."

"Who is there?" I questioned sternly, going to reach for my wand to only find nothing.

"I'm not here to hurt you," the voice - which was obviously a woman - reassured me. "I would never even think of doing such a thing."

"Show yourself them," I said, looking around.

I heard a match being struck before a tall, white candle was lit. This shed a small amount of light on a middle age woman with orange-red hair. Her face was still slightly covered with shadows, but her features were familiar.

Taking a step closer to her, I choked on my words. "M-mum?"

Her green eyes looked up from the candle, a smile forming on her face.

"Mum," I said shakily, continuing making my way over to her.

But she blew looked back down at the candle and blew it out. Leaving me again in complete darkness.

My voice struggled to yell out the word "Mum" one more time.

"Wake up," her voice whispered in my ear.

~

My eyes snapped open and just like that I was awake.
