Its been a few days now. My brother was placed not far from our home luckily, but with puke all down his shirt, his face was slightly bloody and bruised but nothing like Elijah I doubt.

Tests where done and it came back that Max had been drugged. With how much drugs? We don't know.

I sit in my chair at my desk with my head in my hands and my elbows on the table. I sigh with the watery layer that rests on the surface of my eye. I miss him, I never knew I'd ever think or feel that way, but since we opened up to each other it's come to the conclusion that we're meant to be.

A knock emerges on my door I allow them in and I notice Olivia strolling in with tears rolling down her eyes, stopping at the apples of her cheeks which aren't full of any colour.

"Olivia, are you okay?" I ask and wipe my own eyes to show no emotion.

"I miss him." She whimpers. I bolt out of my chair and run over to her and hold her close, I hug her tightly.

"I miss him too, but I'll find him. I promise." I look at her and she nods in agreement, I sigh deeply and feel awful for her. She's always been around her brother and now he's been kidnapped he's been gone for a couple of days now and I don't know the state he is in. He isn't a Mafia man, he can't cope like the men in my mafia, which is definitely understandable. I try and pull myself together and think positively about it all. But it's definitely difficult.

"Jayden?" My brothers words are almost like whispers.

"Max, are you okay?" I ask and raise my brow up until it arched, I looked at him full of curiosity. He didn't seem as if he was beaten badly but that only made me think that maybe Elijah had been instead. After all, Elijah did say to take him instead of my brother. But I walk back and forth inpatiently as I wait for his reply.

"I think we know where he is." Max announces and my body suddenly lightens up, I turn to Olivia who's eyes are no longer glassy, but are now full of light and glee.

"Where?" I raise my brow again as I prepare myself for this moment.

"The garages, not far from the third lot of docks. It's a few hours away sure, but we could get him back Jayden." My brother looks at me with a faceful of hope. I also wonder if we can manage to do this correctly. But the guilt suddenly consumes me, because he'd never be in this mess if it wasn't for me. This is all my fault.

"Olivia, you'll have to stay here." I announce and she nods in agreement and already begins to walk to the guest room as she is starting to obey my orders already. I appreciate it, I know she loves her brother and would do anything to get him back, but she's going to be patient and accept my promise.

I turn to my brother and nod to him, he follows me as I open up the office door and stroll down the stairs holding onto the banister. The coldness ran through my fingertips and through my veins, though I didn't think much of it, it was still happening.

I opened the basement door and revealed our collection. To guns and knives. We have everything we need, ready for battle. This is what preparation is. This exact moment. I glance at Max who is already taking the weapons off of the wall and finding places to put it until we're ready to use them. He stuffs a knife in his boot and a gun under his leather jacket on his back, I chuckle and do the same with my shotgun and find a small blade to hide in my boot.

Ammo is filled completely in our pockets–allowing it to weigh us down fully. We were finally ready, I watch as the presence of Liam stands at the doorframe with his head resting against the white glossy wood. This is the man who raised me to be the person who I am today, I wish he was my biological father for many reasons. One, because we wouldn't be in this situation now. Two, he's just great. And three, no matter what the lesson was... He taught me, whether it was fighting lessons or life lessons, I remember him telling me 'Patience is key' my mind wandered and was confused for that whole entire lesson, I don't have a lot of patience but I have a small bit, thanks to him.

"I'll come with you both for back up and need be we'll call up Jonas and his gang." Max and I nod in agreement to allow no stubbornness show.

Max and I follow our father out of the house I waved Olivia goodbye who was showing a slight smile, but it was covered by the sadness still. I looked away and opened the range rover door and sat inside. The scent of coffee ran through my nostrils which only made me yearn for it. I looked at Max who was staring out of the window with a gun in his hand, his knuckles begin to turn white due to the amount of pressure he is using to hold onto the valuable weapon.

We were finally at our destination, it must be nearly six o'clock. Due to the season the sky has also turned dark, there is no stars out just yet, but there will be soon. We all get out of the range rover but everything seemed too simple, there were no guards out to keep watch.

"You guys be careful, if you need anything shoot up three times in a row and I'll come in, or just shout." Liam states and Max and I both nod at his orders. I look at Max and take in a deep breath for what we're about to do.

We walk closer and closer to the garage and notice a small split of light appearing from under the rolling grey door. I wip out my gun as Max begins to fiddle with the lock on the door.

We both looked around but there was no one in sight, Liam had now gone to hide the car so nothing looked suspicious.

I got down and used a hair clip to try and pick the lock.

"Jayden!" Max exlciamed and pushed past me, I looked over in his direction and saw Max fighting off a member from Joe's gang, he wore black clothing that made his blue orbs shine brightly. I looked at him and tried to pick the lock, thankfully minutes only passed and I finally managed and pushed the garage door up.

I looked back at Max who knocked the other guy unconscious on the floor, a smirk was painted on my face. We both ran in but the room only had a lantern in, it was dimly lit and a chair which has cut ropes.

"What, he should be here!" Max exclaims and runs his fingers through his hair.

"Max it's fine, we'll search the room and see if we can find anything." I state, we begin to look behind boxes but there wasn't much in this tiny room. I sighed but heard some grunting sounds echo from behind a wall.

"Max, come here." I whisper and Max came closer, we both pressed our ears against the wall and heard mumbles. We couldn't work out what was being said but one thing we did know was that we had to get behind that wall.

We began to kick out in hope that the wall was almost fake and would easily break, but it didn't.

"Looking for someone?" A voice cracked through our minds. Max and I both turned to witness the person who is my biological father, unfortunately.

His hair is all misplaced and messy along with his un-shaven stubble.

"Where's Elijah!?" I throw the question at him and walk closer to him, a few men appear behind him and stare at us with anger.

"I just want a relationship with you, Jayden." He asks, pleads in fact but I refuse. I scoff and stare at him.

"If you wanted a relationship with me so badly you wouldn't kidnap my partner." I state and roll my eyes at him.

"That's the only way to gain your attention, isn't it?" He cocks up his brow and I shake my head.

"Where is he Joe?" I asked and he sighed.

"Dead." He states. My heart stops beating for a split moment, I sink my body onto the floor and find my tears rolling down my face. He's dead. Joe killed him. I look up at him as the tears still roll down my cheeks and charge at him, I shove him against the wall with my full aggression.

"You killed him!" I shove him against the wall again as I hold him by his leather collar I punch him in the jaw causing it to clench tightly.

Max was handling all of the other men while I was handling my so-called father who desperately wants a relationship with me. I want to chuckle at the thought but my mind is pre-occupied with the movements of my body, my hand grips tightly around the gun as I point it at my biological father.

Shots are fired and he is no longer an issue for me or my family. I sink myself to the floor next to his lifeless body and find myself crying deeply at the thought of Elijah being murdered.
