I strolled down the stairs and there stood Elijah with multiple bags at the entrance of the double doors, I raise my brow but he walks straight passed me as he enters the kitchen.

"Where are you going?" I asked, I was dreading the answer but I had to know.

"Away, far away from you." He adds and I release a breath that I didn't even realise I was holding in, I held his shoulder but he shoved it off.

"Get off Jayden, you're a toxic person, you know that right?" He raises his brow at me and I chuckle.

"You know nothing." I add, remembering exactly what I had some recently to help.

"I know more enough." He turns on the tap and fills up his glass with cold water and downs it so quickly his Adam's apple even got confused of where it was going.

Olivia came downstairs all confused, she rubbed her eyes and removed any excess sleep.

"Morning Olivia." I announce and she waves at me with her half-asleep body.

"Leave her alone." I hear a whisper pass as he approaches Olivia, encouraging her to go upstairs and ignore the sight of me. My blood was boiling more and my mouth just wanted to blurt out, but I tried all I could to hold it in. It took a lot but he was huffing on his way up and it pushed my last and final nerve.

"You can go, gladly in fact, I don't want you here anymore. Taking up too much space Elijah." I huff and begin to walk past but his mutters become clear as he's right behind me back into the kitchen.

"What's up Jayden? Couldn't handle the deal after all?" He chuckles and his lips part making way for what he's about to say.

Suddenly, Olivia is back downstairs but fully dressed. Elijah clearly ordered her to do so.

"I said just leave, because you think I'm toxic when I'm actually not." I announce but Elijah scoffs.

"Just fuck off Elijah, I don't want to see you again. But just remember who paid for your mother's health." I add and walk past, I hear him sigh along with a gasp of shock.

"Wait... You've paid to help my mother and her illness?" He raises his brow and stairs at me but I open the double doors wide.

"It doesn't matter anymore, from this day onwards I don't know you, so please leave my house." I add and he rolls his eyes, he looks almost as if his heart aches though, I hold myself together and continue to hold the door as he exists out of the house and calls for Olivia.

Olivia passes with her long locks, I almost want to break and cry as she walks passed to follow her stupid brother.

But, she suddenly sprinted around and pulled me in close, her arms wrapped around my waist as she hugged me tight, she smoothed me with her hands and I could feel my clothes becoming wetter and wetter. We've all become so close recently, it's a shame it has all shattered into tiny fragments.

She was crying, I held her close and hugged her tight. I felt awful for her, but she can blame her brother.

"I'll always think about you." I say and get to my knees, she nods and waves me goodbye as she follows her brother to the car where I've asked Max to take them home.

I closed the double doors and felt my heart instantly sink to my stomach. I turned to my father who pitied me, I knew he did. But I didn't need it. I passed him and went up to my bedroom, I wasn't ready to face the rest of the day, I just wanted to sleep and act as if I never met Elijah or Olivia... For Oliva's sake of course.

I was pissed off. I was sat in the car with Olivia in the back seat and Max was sat next to me in the drivers seat.

"I didn't realise she paid out money to help my mum." I announce to break the awkward silence that was rising and rising until I couldn't take it anymore, I looked behind me and the arguments must've worn Liv out as her head was against the window and her eye lids were closed and she was in a deep sleep.

"Well, you underestimate my sister, that's for sure." Max's hands are gripping tight onto the steering wheel, he looks left and right before turning. And he takes in a deep sigh.

"Look Elijah, what ever happened between you two has definitely caused some damage. Fuck, I've not seen her so angry in a long time." I nod and hide my disappointment. I'm angry with myself for behaving the way I did before I even knew what was going on.

We finally turned up at my place, I didn't feel like it was right to go back to mum's, she's still trying to get better, but I must pay her a visit tomorrow.

I thanked Max and watched him drive off as Olivia sprinted to the front door. I rummaged around to find the right key and inserted it through the hole, I pushed the door open and Olivia straight away ran to her room.

I signed and made my way to the kitchen, I reached out and turned on the light switch which didn't do as much because the light bulb was on its way out.

"Fuck." I muttered. My patience was getting thinner and thinner. I rummaged through the draw and found a spare light bulb in its box, it was perfectly in-tact and went hunting for my step ladder.

I pull out the supporter and turned off the light switch quickly and went through my kitchen draw to get a towel. I cupped it over the palm of my hand and carefully stood on the stool. Reaching for the bulb on the other hand was a bit difficult, I managed to un-screw the bulb and place it gently onto the kitchen counter and screw in the other light bulb, I packed the stool away and turned the light switch on and witness the brightness beam throughout the kitchen.

I sit on the kitchen stool and instantly feel lost, confused...It's strange being back home, I almost forgot about it all.

I looked around and realised how late it was already getting, the sun had already set and I was too busy sitting on this stool to even acknowledge that.

"Olivia!" I exclaim. But I receive no answer, I glance at the clock and witness the hands on the twelve and the eight. I finally got up from the sofa and strolled to Olivia's room, but found her door closed shut tightly. I knock on her door but received no reply.

I take a deep breath and decide to open her door up, I was wondering what she was up to but what I witnessed was something I haven't seen before.

Olivia was fast asleep, her duvet was consuming the entire of her body. I felt guilty as my selfishness and I has been locked away from her. I've hardly spoken to her since we've come back home and I know she probably feels isolated.

I close her door back up and ran my fingers through my now sweaty hair. I  yearned for a shower, desperately.

I turned off all of the electric and walked into my room and the now unfamiliar smell welcomed me, the room looked the way I left it ages ago.

I slid my top off and over my head and pulled down my jeans along with my boxers. I was exposed and I wasn't even sure with what I was doing with myself.

I walked into my en-suite and definitely didn't miss the mess. I was a typical male in that sense. I was slightly untidy in my own space. In a space like the living room it was clean, my bedroom isn't too bad either, but my bathroom... Is awful.

I turned the shower knob and allowed the water to instantly run, spitting out its warmth. I push my naked body into the shower and let the warm water run down my body and give me goosebumps along the surface of my skin, I ran my fingers through my damp hair and slicked it all back.

I ran the shampoo through my hair and pulled on my scalp to get every inch of my hair.

I looked up to the ceiling and allowed the bubbles to run down the train, the water trailed down my back and down the sides of my legs.

I sighed deeply wondering what to do with myself now. Olivia has school tomorrow and I'm here alone as it is, I'll see my mother, I'm sure that'll sort myself out.

I pulled myself together and forced myself back out of the shower to face the night. I wrapped the towel just under my torso and walked to clean my face and dry off my body. I couldn't wait to sleep with hardly any clothes on.

Sleeping at Jayden's was awful, fully clothed.

I dried myself off and put on a fresh clean pair of boxers. I hung up my towel, I travelled to my bedroom and turned off the lights.

I lay down on the pillow and stare up to the ceiling, all of this...For what?

I toss and turn a tiny bit but manage to fall asleep and allow the warmth of the covers emerge on my body. They gave me a sense of comfort I was definitely needing.
