Mine
Isis watched the rogue, who went by the name Raven, charge at Alpha Loki in a lightning speed. She let out a cry when Alpha Loki growled loudly as he shifted to his muddy brown wolf and lunged towards the rogue.
Raven swiftly dodged towards his side and instead of taking the opportunity to strike Alpha Loki, he continued to dash towards Isis.
Eh? W-Where is he going? Isis thought.
He suddenly grabbed her up in a bridal carry and dashed away. Isis was surprised how agile and fast he was despite carrying her.
"Wha-- What's this?" She managed to ask him in spite of the confusion temporarily clouding her mind.
"I need to keep you secured, Luna. I am Raven, by the way, you are?" He asked with a perfectly easy-going and calm smile.
"I-Isis.. Isis Lily." Isis unconsciously answered.
"Nice to meet you, Isis. Now, let's get you to safety while I settle things with the old man. Just listen to me and I'll free you from him." He told her.
THUMP.
The beating came back again. Isis didn't know if it was because of the prospect that a chance to free herself from the destiny she thought she could never escape from appeared before her or if it was because hearing him say her name felt too warm.
Raven let her down a good distance away from the fray, in between large trees that provided a good hiding spot, and brushed a few loose tendrils of her locks to the side of her face and smiled again.
"Just wait for me here. Don't ever come out till I come back for you. If you sense pursuers or anyone aside from me, hide. Just keep yourself hidden, are we clear?" He instructed with a stern yet gentle voice.
Isis unknowingly nodded. There was something about him that made her effortlessly obedient. There was something weird about him- something she didn't understand. It was the same when she first saw him on the lake. He was a stranger yet at the same time she felt he was not.
Raven stood up, about to leave, probably, when Isis unconsciously grabbed his shirt. He paused before he turned to her.
"Uh.. Th-Thank you.. Ra.. Raven." Isis spoke softly, a bit embarrassed to actually say his name.
An unknown warmth steadily spread across her body like wildfire before Raven leaned down and stroke her hair gently with a kind smile.
"No problem, Ais." And with that, he sprinted away and left her behind.
Well, hearing him say my pet name wasn't so bad.
Mine.
Oh hell no, Yin.
***********
So that was why I felt restless around her.
You felt it too, didn't you Raven? She was our mate.
Yeah. We found her, Yang. Now let's go and get rid of that leech sticking around our princess, shall we?
Raven had a short conversation with his wolf while he continued to sprint back to where the war was while purposely leaving marks all over the place to avoid any wolf tracking down his mate.
How dare he take our mate.
Raven heard his wolf growl and chuckled internally. He agreed wholeheartedly with his wolf. In fact, he was just about ready to tear him limb from limb for even daring to lay his paw on his sweet little angel regardless if he used to be his Alpha. It was taking all he had to keep himself calm.
Returning back to the open space near Alpha Loki's house where the supposed wedding took place, he found his fighters on the verge of losing. Well, Alpha Loki's fighters were still many after all.
We need to find that mongrel fast so we can stop this madness. If we take control from him we can stop this.
Raven told Yang, his wolf, as he let his eyes roam around the place. He let Yang take control and tried to track Alpha Loki's scent. It lingered on the place for a bit and found him also entering the forest as I tracked his scent.
Raven went on full alert and shifted in less than a second before sprinting back inside the forest and tracking Alpha Loki's scent.
Shit! Shit! Shit! Goddesses please keep Isis out of Loki's grasps!
Raven cursed mentally and willed his legs to move faster. He returned to where he left Isis and found neither her shadow or soul there.
"Isis!!!" He screamed and whipped his head left and right to track her scent this time but her scent only lingered there. It remained there.
Odd. Where is she?
"Raven? Is that you?" Raven heard a soft voice come from above him and found Isis sitting there, concealed behind the thick leaves.
"What are you doing there?"
"Umm.. I thought I'd be a pretty easy find if I stay there below so I climbed up." She reasoned.
Well, our mate's pretty clever.
Yang commented and Raven could almost imagine him smirking as he as well felt very proud with how clever and wise her train of thoughts were.
"Then stay there, okay? I need to find Loki and put an end to this. He's pretty clo--"
"You have my gratitude for leading me to her, boy." Raven heard a voice before he snapped his head towards the owner.
He stood there, looking like the deadly predator he was, and carefully walked towards Raven. His big wolf head looked up and there he saw his bride sitting on one of the branches.
"Ah! There you are, honey. Don't worry. I'll end this quickly so just wait patiently, okay?"
Seriously? He's not planning on backing down, is he?
Yang complained before Raven let out a growl.
"You're not taking her away from me! Over.My.Dead.Body!"
"That can be arranged." Alpha Loki maniacally said before charged towards Raven, who barely managed to dodge in time and got a scratch on his side.
"Raven!" Isis called his name, her voice brimming with worry.
"I-I'm fine, Ais. Just stay there."
"Boy, not only did you ruin our wedding, you dared to kidnap my bride? Who do you think you are?" Alpha Loki shouted angrily.
"Simple. I am her true mate. Of course I just won't simply back down, sit on the side and do nothing while she marries you. She's mine!" Raven yelled back before he lunged directly targetting Loki's throat.
Loki was too shaken up with the prospect that the man who took away the life of his own mate was now the mate of the girl he fancy. The girl who resembled his mate. He couldn't dodge in time and suffered a deep wound from Raven's bite as he let out a painful howl.
"I.. I can't die. Isis.. Isis belongs to me." He continued to muttered as he staggered to stand up. "I swear I'll.. I will take you back, Isis."
Loki threw a hidden dagger towards Isis. He knew very well that Raven would not let it reach her and to stop it from reaching Isis, he'd have to use his body to cover her.
The dagger stabbed Raven's back and he fell on the ground. Isis immediately jumped down from the branch and rushed to his side while Loki chose that chance to facilitate his escape.
I will come back for you, Isis. I swear. I won't hand you over to that man.
