*Moment Instrumental - The Heirs*

"Okay, everyone ready? Let's goooooooooo!" Hobi shouts in excitement as he starts the engine. It's exactly 5:00 p.m. and everyone is seated in the van to go to the amusement park. Hobi is driving and Jimin beside him. Yoongi and Joon behind them. Taehyung and Hong at the back end with Jungkook in between them.

"I brought some snacks for you Noona!" Jungkook gives Hong a packet of gummy bears.

"Only for your Noona? Not for us? That's not fair!" Jimin teases.

Jungkook gets flustered, "No...I mean...It's for everyone...I..."

Everyone laughs at the younger's cuteness. "Thank you Kook." Hong says patting his head, "I'll enjoy them."

Jungkook then nudges Tae who was busy on his phone and put up his collar signaling that he won a point.

Half an hour before the trip...

Jungkook silently knocks on Joon's door to find Tae sitting there with his laptop. He asks politely, "Can I talk to you Hyung?"

Tae nods and signals him to sit.

"Hyung, I really like Hong Noona and I want to try to win her heart. It is okay with you, right?"

Tae is a bit taken aback but he says without showing much interest, "I don't really care. I have no relationship with your Noona so you don't have to worry about me."

"Oh Hyung you are so cool." Jungkook says hugging him, "I was worried that you still like her so I wanted to take your permission." He excitedly goes out of the room.

Huh! That kid really is a piece of work! He thinks he can win her heart so easily?

Tae is not so sure though. He has seen her with Jungkook and they seem pretty close. It doesn't affect him anyways.

But why do I feel jealous?

Tae scoffs at Jungkook who is happy to get a reaction like that from Hong. The entire drive was filled with songs and small conversations. Taehyung feels happy that he agreed to come on this trip, that he can finally talk to Hobi without guilt.

They finally reach the park which is filled with people laughing and playing around. Jungkook grabs Hong and drags her to the first ride, "Let's go here Noona. I heard this is very good." They disappear quickly.

"What are we waiting for guys? Come on...let's split up!" Hobi says dragging Jimin. "And remember to meet at the theatre at exactly 8:00 p.m. for the show!"

"I guess it's just us three then?" Yoongi says half heartedly.

"Let's get something to eat first." Joon says pointing at the churros.

"Kook...Kook...I am very tired now. Why don't you go for another ride? I'll join you later." Hong says panting and sitting on a bench. Her leg has been acting up for a while but she did not want to worry him.

"Okay Noona, I'll just finish this one and then we can go to the theatre together." And he runs away in a hurry.

Hong sits down to massage her legs.

"Does it hurt a lot?" Hong turns to see Taehyung standing with hands in his pockets.

"Uh no...It's just I have been walking for a while. Ha ha ha...young kids these days. They have so much energy."

"I know about your leg injury." Taehyung says sitting beside her. "Joon told me about it. Let me have a look."

Tae sits on one knee to examine her leg. Hong just looks at him.

I can't stop loving him, ever, can I?

She thinks about their memories and her eyes tear up. She sniffs a little.

"Are you crying? Is it that painful?" Tae asks still examining her leg.

"Uh no...It's just...I am cold."She makes an excuse.

"Oh! Then here, take my coat." Tae says handing his coat to her. "And about your leg. Just massage it at least for 30 minutes every day. I think it might work."

"Thank you." She says, wrapping herself in his coat that smelled like him.

"It's my work. No need to thank me." Then murmurs the next part, "That's why, I am thinking of working with your team, like a doctor."

"Tae, why do you want to put yourself in more danger than you already are in?" She turns to face him.

"I want answers too. And I can't have guards follow me everywhere I go. Joon suggested I stay close for your team to protect me better." He says without breaking eye contact.

"You are too cool for yourself you know that right?"

"It's nothing new." They both chuckled. This was the first time after so many years that they were laughing together.

I want to keep laughing with him my whole life.

"Also, what you did earlier was really cool." Hong adds. Tae looks at her with a confused look on his face.

"Your 'little' conversation with Kook before the trip? I heard that. I mean I didn't mean to but I overheard your conversation."

Tae turns red as a tomato and starts to talk gibberish. Hong laughs at his cuteness. Seeing her laugh, Tae loosens up a bit. He wishes that he can make her laugh like this all the time.

I want to protect that precious smile of hers.

"So what will be your answer? When the kid pops the 'question'?" Tae asks in between laughs.

"Hey he is not a kid anymore. And I obviously have to say no. What he has is just a crush. I should not give him any expectations." Then she eyes him, "Why are you so interested?"

"I was curious to know how you will break a kid's heart after breaking mine."

Hong stops laughing. Tae realizes that he said something that was very rude. He tries to make an excuse, "I didn't mean it that way...it just came out the wrong way."

"No it's okay. It's the truth after all. I did break your heart. But don't worry, I won't break his." She says pointing at Kook who was walking towards them and waving. Tae face palms himself thinking, "Genius way of making her upset. Dumb."

"How was the ride?"

"It was awesome Noona. Sad you could not join. By the way, what were you guys talking about?" Jungkook pouts. His jealousy is evident from his face.

"Nothing much. We were just catching up. Do you have any other ride to go to or should we head to the theatre?"

"Yes. I have one last one. It's right behind you Noona." Kook says pointing behind them. "You can also join us hyung, if you want."

They both turn behind to see a giant Ferris wheel.

They froze at the sight of it. Seeing this Kook thought they are just scared, "It's awesome right? Let's go."

"NO!" Tae and Hong shout in unison. Jungkook looks at them with a confused expression.

"Why?"

FLASHBACK

"MR KIM TAEHYUNG! WHERE ARE YOU? IF YOU DON'T COME IN THE NEXT 15 MINUTES, I AM GOING TO KILL YOU AND DUMP YOUR BODY IN THE OCEAN." Hong shouts over the phone.

Tae has turned 18 today and Hong has prepared a surprise birthday party at his house along with all of their friends and his family. But Tae is stuck somewhere and wouldn't tell her where so she can't go to pick him up.

"I am on my way. Geez. I am getting a death threat on my birthday now. Wow. Such improvement." Tae laughs from the other side. "I have already taken a cab and I'll be there in 10 minutes, okay?"

BEEP! Shit...she is in a really bad mood today. But his surprise to her will definitely make her the happiest.

He reaches his house and sees the lights are off. Why would she call him here when she isn't here herself? He tried to call her but his phone's battery was dead. He had no other way than to enter the house and call her through landline. He walks up the path and unlocks the door to get the biggest surprise.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYYY!" Everyone shout in unison. Taehyung is torn whether to feel shocked or happy.

"Oh my god! Guys. Thank you so much!" He hugs his parents first, then his brother, Seokjin and then his friends. He looks at Hong and asks in surprise, "Did you plan all of this?"

Hong blushes and nods. Taehyung hugs her tightly.

"Come on now, let's cut the cake." Jimin says gathering everyone around the cake.

'Just so you know, the cake was made by me and Joon." Jin says with a proud look on his face.

"Oh no shit! We can't eat this cake now!" Taehyung says showing off his boxy smile.

"Yahhh!", Jin (Seokjin) hits him on the back. Everyone laughs at their silly fight. They cut the cake and congratulate Taehyung.

After all the formalities, he nudges Jimin and then winks at him. Jimin understood and then clapped his hands to get everyone's attention, "Okay everyone; let's play some games now, shall we? Please gather around in the living room. Hong, can you bring the dips please?"

"Oh yes sure. "She heads towards the kitchen.

"I'll help her." Tae follows her to the kitchen.

Back in the kitchen, Hong was arranging the dips when Taehyung puts a blindfold on her eyes.

"Hey Tae, no games now please. I need to take these dips. Open this blindfold."

"Not now. You gave me a surprise. Now it's my turn." He says turning her towards the back door and taking her out of the house.

"Hey... Hey... why are we outside... where are we going Tae?" she panicked.

"Shhh..shhh.. Trust me."

Those two words were enough for her. She lets him take her and it seems as if they are boarding a cab. He removes her blindfold and she was right. They were in a cab and were going somewhere.

"Tae, where are we going? How can you leave your own party?" Hong looks at him with angry eyes.

'Nothing will happen. Jimin will handle it till we get back. You just enjoy the ride."

"But I didn't even get to give you your birthday gift!" she pouts.

"Don't worry. I'll get my gift." Tae says smiling through his eyes.

After 30 minutes, which seemed like an eternity to Hong, they reached a dark, closed down amusement park.

"Tae, this better be important! The park is closed!"

"I closed it for us." He says and then covers her eyes with his hands.

"Now follow my voice. Go straight straight straight...now stop. I will now remove my hands so open your eyes." He removes his hand and Hong is dumbstruck!

In front of her was a giant Ferris wheel which was lit up of colors purple and blue. Everything else around her was still black. She covered her mouth in shock and turned back to see Taehyung but he was gone.

"Tae? Tae?" she called out and heard his voice coming from behind.

"Just follow my voice."

She turns around to see Taehyung with a boxy smile on his face. The lights from the Ferris wheel made him look so beautiful.

"Now, walk slowly towards me." Tae signals her to come forward.

She frowns at first but as she put her right foot forward, the light on her right side lit up to a beautiful purple color. She could see a bit now but it still wasn't that visible. She looked down again and put her left foot forward and the light on her left side lit up. That's when she noticed that the path on which she was walking, was full of rose petals! She could not stop herself anymore and ran towards Tae who lovingly catches her into his arms. As she ran towards him, the lights lit up one by one.

"Oh my god Tae! When you did...how you did...I mean this is..." He puts a finger on her lips shushing her.

He goes down on one knee and takes out a small box with two promise rings in them.

"Nam Hong Joo, I promise that the path you will walk on with me will always be like this; full of rose petals and lights for you. Will you accept me as your boyfriend?"

Hong couldn't control her tears anymore and sat down with Tae.

"You fool! Of course I will! How can I ever say no to you?" she says hugging him and crying on his shoulder. They both stand and Tae puts on the ring on her finger. Hong does the same. It had 'Forever' engraved on it.

She looks at the ring and then looks into his eyes. She then stands on her toes and kisses Tae's lips. His eyes become wide from the sudden move but he soon adjusted to it and cups her face. Her hands travel back to his neck. At that moment, everything around them stopped. It felt as if they were the only two alive at that moment and everything else ceased to exist. It was like a dream come true. They thought that their first kiss will be unique but this was beyond anyone's imagination.

All they could hear was their racing hearts.

All they could smell each other's breath on their lips.

All they could feel was each other's warmth in that kiss.

All they could feel was love. Eternal love.

They parted their lips but Tae touched his forehead to her and breathed her smell.

"I love you so much. So so much." He confessed with her face still cupped in his hand.

She holds him by his waist and pulled him closer, "I love you more. So so much more." "But...I couldn't give you my gift." She ends with a pout. Tae pecks her lips slightly and chuckles, "This is the best gift you could ever give me. I don't wish for anything else."

"But still...."

TRING!TRING!TRING!

"Oh it's Jimin." Tae says looking at his phone. "Oh hey Chim! Yeah...Well she said yes! Hahahaha, thanks buddy, all thanks to you. Oh okay cool. Bye bro."

"So Jimin congratulated us and said that everyone already went home. My parents left for our hometown and Jin Hyung said he will sleep at Namjoon's house. So we kinda have the house to ourselves." He said the last sentence with a bit of embarrassment in his voice.

"Oh that's good. Now time for my surprise!" Hong says and grabs his arm. Taehyung freezes at his spot and looks at Hong with wide eyes.

"Aishhh... you are so dirty minded. We are doing nothing of that sort tonight for the time being. There is a small surprise that I have planned. Now let's go." She drags him with her.

They reach the house and Hong tells him to follow her. She walks upstairs towards Tae's room. Before opening the door, she pauses and avoids eye contact with him, "I know this does not make much of a difference now but...." She opens the door.

The whole room was filled with small white lights all over the place and the room lights were off which made it look like a universe. Their own little universe. In the middle of the room was a small keychain with 'forever' engraved on it. Tae looks at Hong with teary eyes and she picks it up and gives it to him.

"Turn it and press the button on the side." she cutely blushes.

Tae turns it around and presses the button and was greeted by a question,

"Will you be mine, forever?"

A tear trickles down his face as Hong hugs him, his face buried in the crook of her neck. "I know this is not that big but I am hopelessly, irrevocably in love with you, Mr. Kim Taehyung. And even the whole universe can't tear us apart."

Tae burst into tears and pulls her close.

Later, they both sit on the couch to watch a late night movie.

"Isn't it funny that we both thought to propose each other on the same day?" Tae says cuddling her in his arms.

"It's destiny. Because we're the two who found our destiny." She turns to deeply kiss him one more time.

FLASHBACK ENDS

"NO!" Tae and Hong shout in unison. Jungkook looks at them with a confused expression.

"Why?

"Because ...because ...I am tired now." Hong quickly says.

"And...And ...I am afraid of heights. It makes me dizzy." Tae quickly adds.

Kook is a bit suspicious but doesn't ask more. "Okay then. We have no other choice than to go to the theatre." Jungkook says pointing towards the direction.

Hong and Tae took a sigh of relief. They could not possibly relive those moments.

That was my moment of happiness. My first kiss with him.

That was my eternal bliss. My first ever kiss with her.

The show was pretty good and at the end, the group was tired as hell. They drove back to the base, Hobi insisted on dropping Tae to his house. Hong, Kook and Joon were dropped at the base and they said their goodbyes.

Joon stops Hong to give her news from the Head Office. "We are called in tomorrow to interrogate Jung Yoon Do."

"Okay, we will be ready." She said.

They were finally a bit closer to find WH.
