Adrien walked up to Marinette's apartment door. He couldn't exactly tell what color it was but it looked like a mixture of browns. He knocked twice. His nerves were getting the best of him so he tapped a nervous beat with his fingers. His mind was swirling with ideas for the new piece.

Alya answered the door in her pajamas. She had a very serious look in her eyes as she gave him a glance over. She took a breath before she spoke, "I know you're hiding something Agreste." His breath hitched in his throat. "Before I figure it out... I suggest you tell Marinette." Adrien smiled, his fake one. The one he painted on for cameras and his father.

"I'm not hiding anything." His lie slipped past his parted lips. His fingers tapped against his arms faster, Alya seemed to take notice of it.

"I'm just saying," Alya leaned on the door. "She's my best friend. If you hurt her I'll hurt you." Alya had a playful tone but Adrien knew better than to doubt her capabilities.

"I'm sure you will... Is Marinette ready?" He asked. Alya opened the door wider and called out to her best friend.

"She's as ready as she'll ever be." Marinette came stumbling out of her room, or what he thought to be her room, scarf in hand.

"Sorry!" She apologized and fixed the scarf around her neck. "What are we talking about?" Her eyes gestured between them.

Alya jumped in before he could say anything. "His piece for the play, I think it'll be great." Adrien nodded. Marinette smiled at the false response.

"Alright Alya. I'll see you later!" She grabbed Adrien's coat sleeve and tried to drag him away before Alya said anything else.

"Back before midnight Agreste!" Adrien turned and saluted her before disappearing down the stairs with Marinette.

"Sorry. I meant to tell you that the elevator was out." Marinette said and he waved away her apology.

"I needed the exercise anyway." He held out his arm for her to take and she looped her arm through his. Adrien noted the prominent blush across the bridge of her nose. They walked together, he led her to the ice rink and opened the door for her.

"Why is it empty?" She asked looking around incredulously. "We're not breaking in right?" Her eyebrow arched as she looked at him.

"No." He laughed. "I rented it out as a party so we could be by ourselves." She blushed and fixed her scarf. "I hope it's not too much..." He was nervous with her silence.

"No, of course not. I just was reminded that we really are from different worlds." She grinned at him. "Where do we get our skates?"

Adrien laced up her skates first and then laced up his own. He took her hand and waved to the employee behind the glass and made his way over to the rink.

"I think I know what I want when I win." Marinette said jokingly. She used the wall to help steady herself and let her skate touch the ice.

"Oh and what would that be?" Adrien grinned and watched her from the entrance.

She pushed of the wall and skated shakily for a bit. "I want to hear what you have for your song." She turned and motion for him to join her and it was so mesmerizing that he did in a heartbeat.

He thought he would be able to skate but the ice was too slippery and Marinette made it look so easy. His fingers gripped the wall for support. "You mean my song for you?" He moved his feet in the pattern he practiced.

"Don't say things like that..." She blushed. She tested out her skates and her shaky legs before she made her way beside him. "Besides, Chloe gets to dance to the song first."

Adrien waved his hand at her statement and then regretted it when he almost fell. "You and I both know that song will be yours. I might as well name it Marinette." He used the wall to balance. Marinette had her hands at her side and she seemed to be shifting her weight.

"How are you so good at this?" Adrien's voice was full of laughter and Marinette shrugged but let a smile paint her features.

"It's like dance. I feel like I'm on stage." She skated in front of him and held out her hands. "Take them." Adrien trusted Marinette full heartedly and grabbed them without hesitation. His whole body shook and he wasn't sure if it was because of his inexperience or if it was her touch. His whole body seem to ignite when he was with Marinette. Marinette's hands were slightly cold but he gripped them nonetheless.

He was still shaking but he knew this would be the best he would probably do all night. Marinette let go of his hands and skated further from him. She almost slipped but balanced herself before she hit the ice. He felt more confident and skated to her side without grabbing onto the wall.

"When I win I want to play with you again." Adrien grinned.

"That isn't much of a prize, I would play with you even if you didn't ask." She blushed and slowly mapped out a move on the ice.

"Not on the piano at the concert hall. I want to teach you to play on a much better piano," Adrien said. "My piano." Marinette turned while she was skating and blushed in his direction. "Plus, after lessons I'll make us a nice dinner."

She tilted her head and slowed near him. "Are you asking me on another date while we're on a date?"

He couched and worked on skating in a straight line without much help of the wall. "Technically. I wanted to beat you to it since you practically asked me out today." He poked playfully in her direction. He could imagine her rolling her eyes.

"Then it's a deal then." She said from behind him and he jumped. Marinette was fairly good at the sport as soon as she figured out how to stay up right on the skates. Adrien had a feeling he would lose, he didn't mind though.

"Dare you to try spin." Adrien joked. He met her eyes which held a joyous look. It was like Marinette had been waiting for it.

"You're on." Marinette skated like she's wasn't afraid of failing or falling. She spun once and Adrien was in awe. Then this giggle bubbled from within her. She made a loop and spun and then looped around him. Adrien forgot all of his problems when he watched her dance.

Adrien decided that he'd just do laps around the rink and let Marinette practice. He actually wouldn't be surprised if she did start practicing her routine now.

Marinette laughed as she spun and then skated up to him again. "Come on Adrien," Her grin was so infectious. "Stop being so cautious! I'll go on another date with you no matter what so let go and grab my hands." He was flushed but he did again. Marinette was slowly leading him away from the comforting support of the wall and to the middle of the ice.

She was patient and comforting. Her hands felt so nice in his, he wouldn't mind holding them forever. He didn't know how late it was because he lost all sense of time when it came to her. He hoped that it wasn't close to midnight. The sky was practically already dark when they got there.

"Now we're going to spin." Marinette said guiding his hands with hers.

"We're going to what?" His mind didn't catch up with his body and the next thing he knew they were both on the ice. They had both fallen. Marinette laughed from beside him and brushed off her hands. The cold began to seep into his clothes and he looked over at her.

She was looking at him too, head still on the ice, and a grin painted on her perfectly pink lips. "What happens when we both fall?" The mocking tone heard in her voice led him to chuckle.

"We get both the things we wanted?" He said hopefully. He leaned up on his elbows. She looked up at him still, a different look in her eyes. It made him nervous but curious.

"I want something else too." She said quietly. He didn't realize how close their bodies were, not only could he feel the cold but he could feel her body heat.

"I think I do too." Adrien said truthfully.

"Then do it." Her voice was barely above a whisper but he hung onto every word. He didn't have to be told twice.

Adrien leaned down and Marinette's hand pulled at his coat the rest of the way. His lips touched hers and he melted. Adrien kissed Marinette. Her lips were cold but they warmed him up. His hands were on either side of her head, trapping her to him. Adrien wouldn't let her go now. He wanted so badly for her to be his.

Adrien kissed Marinette and even after he dropped her off, there was still a faint lingering trace of her on his lips.
