Hey all!

How are you guys?

Anyway, I need to rant a little about Wattpad. If you find this offensive, be offended. I'm just stating my view.

1) Alex.

C'mon guys, every freaking story has an Alex in it. Or an Alexander or Alexa, but it's seriously all the same. It's driving me crazy. Does no one else notice this? Because honestly people, you need a little diversity.

2) Nerd girl.

NOT EVERY NERD WEARS GLASSES AND IS GORGEOUSLY HOT. Please learn this! The first sentence in soooo many stories is "She was your stereotypical nerd."

Ughhhhhh, that just bothers me so much. I mean, I'm a nerd. I fully accept that title. I do have glasses, but they're to help me tell if you're a person or a trash can, because without my glasses I honestly can't tell. I am not pretty, not like you're describing your "nerd girl." I have freckles, a big nose, giant feet, and a slightly chubby body because when I get stressed I can eat fifty tacos in a row (not joking here, this has happened during finals week.)

I seriously want to explain to each and every one of you how to be a nerd. I might even post something on this book that'll help y'all. Writers untie, ok? Let's help each other out.

3) aweful gramar

You see how that looks? Doesn't that just make you cringe? This is probably my biggest pet peeve on here. Especially when it's like:

"Yo gurl ho ya doin babe.""fie thx bf, u da best <3"

I know most of us on here have work, school, relationships, etc, but when you first write it, could you take the time to put a little effort in? I totally know we all hate editing, seriously it sucks, but simply writing out a complete sentence or using I instead of i makes a huge difference.

One last thing before I move on: paragraphs were created for a reason. Sure, each paragraph can be between three and nine sentences, but when you've shoved your three thousand word story into a single paragraph, I don't even bother reading it. It's too long without any breaks and my eyes aren't the greatest so I lose my place every five seconds and end up reading the same sentence fifteen times in a row.

No writer is perfect, of course, but by simply trying the stuff mentioned above, it'll help you a LOT.

4) Incomplete stories/fanfic

We all are in some sort of fandom. If you don't think you are, DM me and I'll argue with you until we find something or you give up on me.

So anyway, before someone goes on a permanent hiatus or something, it'd be great if you could your leave in your bio or in the description of your ongoing story. Thanks.

5) contests are EVERYWHERE

Yeah, we all love the Wattys, but personal contests can get a little annoying. Seriously, about fifty show up on my home page every day. Plus, there's often a time limit/word count limit. DON'T PUT A LID ON MY CREATIVITY. Let the words flow, give me two weeks, and don't use too many requirements. (The other day someone actually had as a requirement that you had to have a tree on a cliff and a few other necessary things that they thought were cool. This just makes me stressed and I feel like you're commanding me to do that and if it doesn't fit the requirements I don't qualify.)

So my loves, that's all for today. I'm sorry if you were offended by me, but most of this stuff I've actually done myself and then realized how ridiculous it was. So it's ok. We all make mistakes and sometimes some mistakes are the best accidents that could happen. Keep on keeping on guys.
