So it was my bday and decieded to give an update to my darlings here...

Mohini was tossing n turning in her bed unable to sleep after listening to Arjun. It was not out of disbelief. She couldnt bring it to her control. The pain Arjun had to go through all his life was too much... The price he had to pay for survival; Right from his parents, to his wife. Vaidhehi was his strength, his everything, She knew. And her face would bring only worse to him emotionally. Yet she cant help anything about it. Or, could she?? Perhaps !

Mohini brushed off her thoughts. A current passed through her. She was falling for him. Not out of sympathy, For sure! She know her feelings for him has nothing to do with his sufferings... But will she be able to tell him this truth? What would it bring for them? She had no clue... Was she doing it all right? She tried to recollect her memories.

The moment she saw him at Ratnamma's place... She couldnt take off his eyes from him. His black orbs had the power to attract any women, she agree. But was it just that? She know it isnt ! She tried to forget everything else and run into his arms as it felt safe. Yet, she was refrained from doing it. The way he held her shielding away from Dhruv. Her honour was saved from a vulture. Each time his eyes met hers affected her.

She has accepted her fate to live in Ratnammas place. With Radhamma and others. Just that her ma was protecting her from the lustful men coming to that place. Her life was hell, yet she tried to get adapted all this while. Arjun's unexpected entry and the following events turned her whole life upside down. His proximity made her vulnerable. An unknown spark was ignited within her because of him. She tried not to let it burn. But all in vain. The surprised faces of whole team, especially Ashutosh too affected her. Though it was all not for Mohini...

She wished to go away from their lives. So as to not give them more heartbreaks by repeatedly showing her face. But fate was against her. She was forced to share same roof with him. Then followed his breakdown, seeing her photograph in his room, his reason behind all those reactions. Now that she knows it was all for Vaidehi and not her made her vulnerable. All these days, she was mesmerized by him around her.

But, She can never be Vaidehi, no matter what. She will never let it happen either. So, what can she do? Will Mohini ever get a chance to be with this man? Or should she even think about it? Her mind and heart was in a constant battle. Sleep was far as time passed.

The pain he had to go through seeing life being stripped away from his love, is unimaginable. And Vaidehi being Arjun's soulmate, Mohini can never be with him. She knows all this. Yet, it pained her. After a long time, she decided.

Mohini sneaked into Arjun's room. MoonLight from windows hit her eyes. She could see everything clear, unlike last time where the rolm was engulfed in darkness. She felt genuinely happy. She saw him sleeping peacefully. Slowly turning towards the table, she saw Vaidehi's picture. Mohini gently touched on her face. A soft smile formed on her lips. Vaidehi was indeed so beautiful, graceful and her eyes had a different spark. Suddenly she noticed another frame beside Vaidhu's. Mohini frowned. She didnt see it last time. Did he place this recently, she doubted.

She took the frame in her hand and it pierced her heart.

It was their picture... A happy Arjun and Vaidhu... The smiling faces of both of them !! They were so much in love, happy and content. Their eyes said it.

Soon, her emotion changed to something else. She could feel the wrath forming inside her. For Anthony... The person who destroyed their happy life.

She placed the frame near her chest and took deep breaths. Keeping it back on table, she slowly turned towards the bed.

Mohini sat on the floor near the bed keeping her left hand on top of Arjun's face caressing it. So many emotions passed through her.. She tried hard not to break down at the moment. Slowing catching her breaths, she whispered.

"I will not let anything happen to you or others. Not anymore.. I will make sure to see the end of Anthony. I'll be his end... I promise you..." She took a few more seconds admiring him.

Reaching the door, she gave a look at him again, "I am sorry Ajuu...".

Finally, she let those tears flow shedding the heaviness out of her heart.
