We sped up ahead. I held on to Steve's shoulder tighter as he rode the motorcycle. I felt the familiar coolness of the shield against my chest. Mine was also around my back. It was slightly foggy but the sun shone bright enough so that we could see ahead. We were in a forest area and the trees looked beautiful in this light.

Steve has had a look of pure determination ever since that night he broke down. It's like he refuses to think about anything but the mission. It concerned me more than I care to admit.

I heard the sounds of more motorcycles as some HYDRA agents joined us. I turned behind and started shooting.

My shield protected me from their constant hits. Steve pressed a button causing two ropes to shoot out between the trees. It hit two of the soldiers off their bikes and onto the ground. He pressed another button and a huge fire came up behind us. Thanks to Howard! One of the bikes caught on fire and slipped off to the side which caused another bike to crash. The soldier flew off with a scream.

I looked to my left to see two of the bikes through the trees, trying to go ahead of us. He sped up so that we were between both of them and I bent to the side and pulled something. Howard had taught me that. I blew them a kiss right before Steve sped ahead.

We barely avoided the explosion. We were almost there. I saw a huge tank, waiting to blow us to bits. I moved back a little as Steve took his shield and placed it in front of the bike. I held onto his shoulder again, readying myself for the impact.

We ducked and dodged the hits. Were it hit, the floor erupted, throwing mud everywhere. Steve quickly pushed a button when we were close enough and the tank blew up. He went up the ramps on the sides and flew out, barely missing the debris and fire. We landed with a thud and we were immediately shooting again.

I took out my gun and shot at the two soldiers on my left as Steve kept speeding ahead. I took out as many as I could but it was better to avoid them.

"Get ready to jump!" Steve yelled through the loud shots. We leaped through the air, grabbing our shields and landed in a front flip. I eased onto my feet, swiftly, in order to dodge the bullets and rant after Steve.

We fought like a storm. We were balanced with each other. Shields were thrown and blows were ducked. Our shield sometimes mixed up, but you would only know because of the difference in color.

The bike we were on, crashed into the metal doors, causing an explosion. It took out many of the men nearby and the door. Before we knew it, we were trapped between two men. They pressed a button and created a square of fire. Steve and I stood back to back.

I sighed in relief when the fire subsided but it caught in my throat when the rest of the soldier surrounded us. Steve and looked at each other helplessly. They grabbed the shields and escorted us inside.

It's been so long!!!! And the book is almost over. But Cynthia's story isn't. I'm planning on making this a series. I just love her character a lot. Fun fact: I was gonna start at Endgame and do one chapter of each of the movies that Cap and her would have been in. But I decided this was better. Btw.
