Today is the day. Getting ready for this day was hectic. The Colonel was constantly on edge so we were all walking on eggshells around him. Peggy used every second to try to convince me to sit this one out. Howard had my things ready in no time. The jacket was dark blue and made out of leather. The wings were a beautiful color and the sapphire shone. It was paired with a plain white shirt and black pants. My shield is the same as the one Steve wanted but mine is only blue and white. Since I wasn't used to fighting with a shield, Steve helped me train. Our conversations have been small since his makeout session. I avoid him as much as I can.

Steve kicked the door open, holding the shield in front of him. We all started shooting. Gunshots rang as bodies thud. I am alongside Steve and everyone else is behind us in a well thought out V formation. I kick and hit soldiers with my shield. Dodging bullets and punches just like I've been taught. I follow Steve as he gets on his motorcycle. I jump in and he throws back an explosive after checking if our soldiers are a safe distance away. I grab onto his shoulders. The metal shield is cold against my arm as we ride away from the exploding buildings. I smirk in satisfaction.
