I groaned in pain and confusion. It had shot through my leg and I was unable to walk or move it. I dragged myself to somewhere I didn't have to keep watching my back. I sat against a truck and aimed my gun around me. This was a dangerous position. I wouldn't be able to dodge anyone's bullet.

They blasted the fences using the weird tanks and broke it down so that we could escape. The blast killed many of the German soldiers. The inside of the factory also started blowing up. I was unnoticed so far. But within minutes, I felt sturdy hands pick me up and I gasped in pain.
"I got you." The red headed soldier muttered. "Dugan." he nodded.
"Thank you." I mumbled out as he half carried me and half guided me out through the fence.
"Have you seen Cap?" He shook his head and looked at me with pity.
"He'll make it." I reassured myself more than him.
"He will." he agreed. I looked back at the burning building. 'Please make it, Steve.' I pleaded silently. We hadn't made it far past the fence when we heard cheers.
"Have you seen the Sapphire Soldier?" I heard a familiar voice stick out among everyone else's. I sighed. "Cynthia!" He looked at me with a grin. But soon his eyebrows furrowed and it turned into a concerned frown as he took in my leg.
"You made it." I gave him a weak smile before everything went black.
