Chapter thirty four

**

Lavi was fully dressed by the time I head back to the bathroom. He looked concerned as he stared back at me.

"Feeling better?" Reaching for my hands before squeezing gently at it.

"Yeah am good...only hungry"

Pulling my trouser up my waist while digging for another pair of shirt before tossing the previous one into the laundry basket and glancing back at Lavi who was watching in total fascination.

"How about the sheet? We left our signature on it as well" my cheek flush in embarrassment as I turned to look at the blood stain on the bed.

"I will toss that as well before someone sees it"

He tug at the sheet and pulled it off before I could reach it and placed it inside the basket as well.

"Thank you"

"For what?" Raising his brow at me

"For being so sweet and lovable"

"If that's the reason than i will also have to thank you for letting me into your life and giving me everything without holding back. Thank you princess" pulling me into a tight embrace.

We made our way downstairs hand in hand after that three minutes hug. Lavi had this weird grin on his face every time I look at him and it's not surprising cos I was wearing a similar grin as well..

Speak of someone who is happy

"Come with me to church for Christmas Eve tonight?" Speaking with his mouth full eating from the same plate with me.

"Will your mom be there as well?" Not looking up from the mountain of food in front of me,waiting to be level

"My whole family will be there and I will like you to meet my siblings as well" reaching for my hands across the kitchen counter.

"I would have loved to be there but the last thing we need is me walking like i have just been shot between my thigh and your mom calling me out in front of everyone which will eventually spoil the night for everyone as well so I will pass" shrugging

"You know, my mom has eyes for things like that no doubt so maybe another time" confirming my allegation.

I wish he doesn't have to leave after all this. After today; I wonder what life has in store for the both of us. Will this day keep us together forever or be the end of us all together but one thing is for sure. This moment right here and now is ours and we will make the best out of it.

"It's already 5:30pm. Aunt Nene will be back soon" I reminded him piling the dish into the dish washer.

"Will I see you tomorrow?"

"I don't know, maybe!"

"Come to church tomorrow by 7am. I have something to show you there"

"I'll be there. I'm still looking forward to lighting that candle for my mom" caressing the necklace around my neck.

"Is that a locket around your neck?" Watching me closely

"Yeah,my dad gave it to me!; it was my mom's"

"May I?" Reaching a hand to grab hold of the locket

"Yeah sure"

He continued to scare in curiosity while stealing a glance at me with a weird grin on his face.

Can he stop grinning already?

"Your mom is beautiful!"

"Yeah she is just like I remember her" shooting him a small smile

"And am guessing this little muffin is you!"

"Little muffin you say?"

"I mean you look as delicious as a muffin" grinning at me

"Have you had muffin before?"

"No I haven't but I heard they are delicious little yummy things just like you my lady" with glimmer of smile on his face

The fact that he thinks am yummy makes my stomach flutters in a million undescribable way.

Is that even healthy?

It didn't take long for Lavi to leave and I went back up to my room before aunt Nene came rushing through the door. She was surprised to see me up and healthy with no traces of my earlier symptoms. If only she knew what went down around here a while ago though.

She'd have a heart attack

"You look better" she beamed

"I feel better" hiding my silly grin before she sees right through my glow

"Your dad should be home by morning"

"I should call him before he get a heart attack"

Dad picked on the very first ring and oh am I glad or not?

"What happened to your phone young lady" his baritone voice boomed through the receiver.

"Today has been a really hectic day dad..I bet you had too much to do as well. You must be tired as well"

"I'm only tired from calling your line only to have that machine answer me" he huffed

"I'm sorry papa.. Are you really coming home tomorrow?" Changing the topic as quickly as I could

"Yeah, this is our first Christmas here remember?"

This Christmas will most certainly be something to remember but he doesn't needs to know that right?

"I look forward to seeing you tomorrow dad"

"Yea me too"

"Love you dad!"

"Love you too"

It's only 8:30pm at this point and I can't afford to fall asleep just yet. Lavi still hasn't text me yet. He should have been home by now or maybe he went straight to church and probably having a earful from his mom.

I wish I would have gone with him earlier but considering the fact that am literally moon walking at this point,it wouldn't be a good idea.

It took only a minute for aunt Nene to walk out the door and yet another before the ding sound ring through my phone and his name appeared on my screen.
