Chapter six

Katherine's POV

**

Wednesday came with its own headache as I arrived at school early that morning. The students were still gathering around in their various groups as the junior students had just concluded their first term  examination and school was scheduled to vacate the same week for Christmas break.

I was headed for the stairs before obi jumped out of practically no where as he stood in front of me with a toothy grin on his over excited face.

What's with him?

"Good morning princess" said obi still smiling

Princess?

What princess?

And hell. When did he start regarding me as princess.

"Morning obi. What's up with you?" My brow raised.

"I'm just happy to see you princess. Now come here"

Before I could back away from him. His arms were already wrapped around me in a tight embrace.

What in the world has gotten into him...

And as quickly as he has hugged me. He pulled away and held me at arm length still grinning widely at me.

Obi has got to be insane right now or he was definitely mistaking me for someone else.

Hell...

And before I could wiggle myself free from his hold. His face descended on me. His lips brushing against my cheek in a peck.

Peck?

Obi just pecked me?

Ewww...now am gonna have to knock off a teeth or two...

Too bad.

Pulling away. I was ready to smack him so hard but that was until I realized the taunting look in his eyes but they were not directed at me but at someone behind me. I followed his gaze as I looked behind me only to find a frozen Lavi standing an inch from us.

Holy moly...

His hands were clenched into a fist by his side as he glared at us.

Oh I should have known.

This little show of affection was to get that single reaction from him no doubt. At least, he should have given me the heads up cos that little charade almost earn him a slap from my end.

I sigh in deeply as I turned to face him again.

"Really now? You should have at least given me a heads up don't you think?" My arms crossing my chest in a silent protest.

"C'mon now...where is the fun in that and besides I was just being a proper boyfriend don't you think?"

"Fake boyfriend. Don't forget the 'f' word" I was too eager to correct him.

Why am I in such a bad mood..I should be happy with his little performance but am not...but why ?

"How can I forget princess" replied obi

"Hey ,can you stop calling me that name already?"

"Will you prefer I call you k instead?"

Oh no . he did not just say that or did he?

Lavi is no longer around at this point to get irritated so maybe he should quit his shitty attitude already.

"Don't ever call me by that name" I warned through gritted teeth.

"Why not? Does it remind you of someone?" He teased.

Wrong joke.

"Call me that again and I will show you who it reminds me of" I took a step closer as I coiled my hand into a fist ready to smack if he even did as much as to breath out the wrong word.

Obi took a step backward as he shook his head at me with laughter playing at his lip.

"I'm not stupid you know? So how about we leave that name for another day k?"

My head snapped at his direction the moment the first alphabet of my name slipped out of his mouth.

He took to his heels as I chased after him from behind.
