Chapter two

Lavi's POV

**

It's inevitable how everything good come to an end. It's even impossible to think that we will still be friends if I let her go. I could see it in her eyes. She was lying about every single damn thing but I am still yet to figure out the real reason behind her actions.

Damn

She couldn't have stopped loving me just like that. I'm not even going to let her try. love is not a feeling you pick up one day and trash the next because you suddenly grew wry of it. Love is like a fire that once it start burning from the depth of your soul. It'd take an ocean of tears to quench it. Not even the sea itself can quench mine and am not going to let her drown hers. She was mine and that's it even if she is not so worried to walk out of my life.

Her plump lips trembled as I reached out a hand to caress her cheeks.

"Forgive me princess but I don't believe you" my voice barely a whisper.

She wasn't putting up much of a fight anymore as she allowed my hand to rest against her cheek.

A quick gasp escaped her mouth the moment my palm came in contact with the croak of her neck as I held her close.

I can't even swallow the urge to crash my lips against hers anymore.

What if she hit me

Far from it. Her eyes were already closed at this point. Dragging my hands away from her neck and leaving a trance of goosebumps all over her exposed flesh. I managed to cup her face again as I tilt her chin a bit to face me.

"Look at me K" my voice rasp and husky.

She pry her eyes open as they settled on me. I wish I could see what lies beneath those dazed eyes of hers.

Christ...

I'm the one getting dumped here, yet she is the one with sadness in her eyes giving me more reasons not to doubt her but rather question her intention of leaving me.

My heart won't stop hammering against my chest as she continued to stare at me. I doubt if she will give too much of a fight with my next action but if she was really leaving me then I better give her something to remember me for.

"Can you promise me one thing?"

"Anything you want Lavi so long it enough to keep you ...keep you away from me" she breathe.

I didn't think she'd accept so easily but I guess she is more than eager to get rid of me no doubt..

"Are you sure?" I asked again

"Just ask away will you?"

"Is there really nothing I can do to change your mind my lady?" My voice a silent plea

She gave a weak shrug instead as she ducked her head away.

Sucking in a deep breath. I turn her to face me again. It's either this or nothing.

"Okay then"

"So what do you want?"

"May I kiss you goodbye?" My voice sure and firm as I looked at her deep in the eyes making sure to send a straight message.

I need to kiss her again.

Her eyes twitched a few times as she said nothing other than to stare at me.

Now what?

We continued to stare at each other in silent with only our heart beat doing all the talking as they beat in rhythm only they could understand.

Seconds turned to minutes as we continued to stare at each other like a forever dream.

Her eyes darted back at my lips a few times before she closed hers as she inhaled in a deep way. I guess she finally made her decision.
