Chapter eighteen

Katherine's POV

"Get off me!" I yelled pushing him off me as I quickly wipe my lips with the back of my hand.

What the hell?

I stumbled all the way back as I pushed him away and just about then; I notice a figure pushed himself off the wall as he walked away. All I needed was to hear the retreating steps to know exactly who it could be. Apparently, obi also seem to have seen whoever it's cos it was none other than Lavi.

Obi just kissed me because he saw him standing over there?

Oh no he didn't

Oh yes he just did

My chest was beating in a frantic way cos I can not believe he just kissed me out of no where. We were arguing about introducing me as his girlfriend earlier to his friends and suddenly he lean in on me and planted a wet kiss on my lips.

At first, I was taken by surprise and didn't know how to react but I wasn't just gonna stand there while he continue to kiss me either so I just pushed him away as hard as I could.

"What the fuck did you do that for?"  I asked through gritted teeth.

"I'm sorry I kissed you out of the blue like that. It's really not my intention. I'm sorry!" He replied sheepishly.

"That's it? You're sorry?" Not believing my ears for a second.

This is the last thing I need right now. Him Not being man enough to admit to what he just did.

"I'm really sorry katty...I got caught up in the moment"

Got caught in making Lavi jealous you mean?

"Is that your stupid excuse for kissing me?"

He gave a weak shrug as he lean back against the kitchen counter and I just couldn't wrap my mind around what just happened. Why didn't I see this coming? Obi obviously likes me and I played right into his hands and now? He is using this game I started to his own advantage. Friends don't go around kissing friends because they got caught up in the moment of God knows what!. I mean just look at the satisfied look on his face. He did that on purpose!.

He made sure to kiss me while Lavi could watch and even have the nerve to blame it on some God forsaken moment? He is lucky I didn't hit him across the face while at it.

Hell...

"Are you high on something? Cos I know you are not drunk so what the heck happened to you!"

Pushing himself off the counter. He took a step towards me but stopped when I glared at him.

"I understand if you are angry at me,furious even. I never should have done that without your permission and I guess my excuse for kissing you is equally lame as well but I won't deny the fact that I like you but that's still not enough reason for me to do what I did" he replied with that sorry look on his face that is almost convincing but am not gonna let myself be deceived so easily....

"You know what? I'm sorry too but this little charade of ours can't go on any further so just get out" my voice was cold as ice.

"What? You can't be serious right?"

"Yes I am serious...even more serious than a heart attack so get the fuck outta my kitchen right now before I do something I might regret" my expression void of any emotions as I screamed at him

"But I already said sorry Katherine. Doesn't that mean anything to you"

"It does mean little or nothing to me right now especially when you broke my trust so it all end here right now" I shrugged.

He took a step towards me again and halted.

"Alright then. If this is how it's gonna be then i will go but before I do, I just want you to know that am truly really sorry and I didn't mean for any of this to happen either and I just hope we can still be friends after this"

I wouldn't push it if I were you!

"I will think about it" I replied

"Okay t-thanks... I will be outside with the rest in case you need me for anything" he murmured

I very much doubt if I will be needing you for anything other than you staying away from me.

"Okay.. Go ahead, I need a moment to breathe on my own right now"

"Okay.. Just take your time"

Obi just proven himself to be an arse but the look in his eyes truly suggest that he might be sorry after what he did but the fact that he likes me is enough not to trust him anymore. What I need is a friend not someone who will take advantage of me whenever he get caught in the moment.

I just hope I can at least talk to Lavi about this whole mess before it get even messer.

Okay guys... Obi finally kissed her and her reaction to that not so wonderful kiss was heartbreaking to obi of course...

Anyways: do you think obi really kissed her based on impulse or on purpose.
