Saved or not
(Lindy's POV)
A few hours later after I'd begged Tom to take me to see Tord he'd agreed and we were on our way. I still felt light headed and Tom had to carry me because I couldn't stand very well.
We arrived at the hospital and parked the car. Tom helped me out and I got up to run but fell over by my imbalance. Darn it, Tom helped me up and I put my hand on his shoulder using my good foot to walk on. The doors opened and we hurried as fast as we could to Tords room.
The doctor led us in,
"He's still unconscious and hasn't moved since he got here." The doctor opened the door and ushered us in.
The first thing I noticed was Tords or my red jacket right in his hand with a clenched fist.
"He's had that jacket in his hand ever since he got here, we can't seem to take it from him." I took my hand off Toms shoulder and stumbled over to Tords bed. I touched the wet jacket, this was the jacket he gave me..... I took it off when I tried to rescue him.... he kept it... Tord. I reached out with a shaky hand and touched his hand, it was wet from clenching the jacket. Tord.....
a single tear slide off my cheek and landed on Tords hand. I'm so sorry Tord......
(Tords POV)
I heard crying, It sounded like Lindy, no Lindy, don't cry. I'm here for you, please don't cry. I needed to wake up so I could help her. I squinted my eyes open and saw Lindy. She was crouched over me, Tom stood in the doorway.
"Tord!!" Lindy threw her arms around me in surprise and her sadness turned to joy.
"Nice to see you too Lindy."
*time slip brought to you by the lovely author-chan*
Yay, I was finally going home today! I had been waiting 4 days because apparently I couldn't leave until they were sure my nerves were fine, and that didn't have any major broken bones. We were going on a walk in the park today. Tom drove us all to the park. Lindy and I were now strong enough to walk and we need to get practice. We entered through the entrance and walked up to the roads.
"Can we do the medium one!" Lindy said"I need a long walk."
"I don't know if Tord could take a 6 mile hike" Tom's suggestion sounded reasonable but I didn't wanna let Lindy down.
"Oh I'll be fine, we can always turn back right!"
"Nope!" Lindy said giddy with happiness.
"Maybe if we get tired..." Tom tried
"No"
"What if-"
"No, no what ifs!" Well that was the end of discussion. We walked down the road, I'd had more time to rest and just needed to stretch my legs out. While Lindy has been stretching instead of resting cause she's Lindy and she was still weak on her feet.
"Ah!" She stumbled and I steadied her.
"Ha, slow down tiger." Lindy ignored my warning and speed ahead.
Tom and I hung back while Lindy stopped admiring every flower🌸 🌺 🌹 turns out we stopped at 3 miles and turned around cause Lindy was literally crawling on the floor. She was so weak I had to carry her back. She fell asleep in my arms when we were about 1-2 miles from the parking lot. Luckily nobody was at this park today. We reached the car and drove home, with Lindy sound asleep in the backseat. We arrived at home and I carried Lindy up to her room and layed her down in her bed pulling the covers over her. She hugged her red jacket partially awake. She was so cute when she slept, well she was cute anyway. I weakly stumbled into my old room flicking on the lights which shown bright and light. I opened my window and looked outside seeing the sun high in the sky. I crawled out onto the roof and sat in the corner. I looked out onto the peaceful streets and houses lined in a row. People probably eating lunch by now. I stayed outside my window for about another half hour staring at our new neighborhood.
"What do we have here...?" I smiled and looked at Lindy standing outside the window. She walked over and sat next to me.
"Guess who decided to join us! It's Lindy awake from her really long nap." I sighed.
"I wanted to thank you..." Lindy pulled her knees up and put her arms around them.
"For what?" I looked at her in surprise.
"For keeping my jacket.... you kept in the whole time..." I blushed seeing the red jacket wrapped warmly around Lindy and covering her fingers.
"No problem, any time." And anything for you I thought in my head.
"Tord your so nice, I'm kinda glad you blew up our house." Again I was surprised.
"But why!!!"
"Because if you hadn't I would have never met you, or Tom, or Edd..." she smiled at me.
"Yeah I guess your right. And I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world." Then I reached over and hugged her.
She hugged me back, I felt something inside me spark, and we sat there watching the sun overhead as it slowly sank into the ground.
"By the way what happened to the guy that kidnapped you?" Lindy's voice tore through my thoughts.
"He'll be back, I know he will...."
and the sun disappeared over the hill.
