(Tords POV)
A long time had passed since the last chapter. Nothing was the same. Lindy's grandma had insisted she come stay with her instead of "those ruffian boys" so she and ganme had left. Things were different now, no one ever smiled. None of us got out much. We stayed indoors and watched tv. I noticed Edds drawing had lost their touch, each one was sad and lonely. Tom had remained the same emotionless Tom as always but something was gone. That spark in his eyes had been extinguished ever since Lindy had left. I hardly ever stepped out of the house. I spent most of my time on the roof, admiring the way the sun glittered but feeling no joy. The street became quiet. The house wasn't the same without Lindy... everything was so empty. I stepped onto the third floor walking past her room. I stopped and opened the door. I often went into her room. Just to feel like she was still here with us, with me. The walls still blue had grown sad. A darker shade of blue by lack of care. It's been months now she's left us. He'd bed cover dotted with her favorite things... ice cream, horses, anime. She's sewn little pieces of the things she loved onto her cover. Even a fabric picture of all of us. He'd books by the dozen still lay on the shelf untouched and covered with dirt and dust. Her desk loaded with unusual items. Loose change, strange bracelets that she's never worn, yarn weavings, a unpainted fox picture and drawings that she's made herself. I sat on the bed  and stared at all of her stuff feeling all those painful memories. I stood back up and walked out closing the door softly behind me.
"Goodbye Lindy, until next time" I muttered to myself, wishing I'd hear a reply. I walked to my dark room and turned on the light, it was dark. The dull light hung from the ceiling of my room. Tired walls sagged and floorboards creaked as I walked on them. I opened my window because I always had my best ideas on the roof. What to do what to do what to do. I was bored out of my mind, summer had come which meant nothing to us more than hot days shut off inside alone. My phone buzzed from inside my pocket.
Hey guys can we all meet inside the living room, I've got something to tell you! It was Edd... dammit just when I thought the day couldn't get any worse.. I crawled back inside my window down and closed it. I walked very slowly down the stairs and entered the living room throwing myself onto the couch.
"What do you want from me Edd!!!" I wailed like a lost kid my face smushed against the couch cushions. Tom stood at the doorway, flask in hand. Like usual... Edd was looking chipper as he waited for us(mainly me) to quit complaining.
"Well you know how we're bored--"
"How could I forget!! Thanks for bringing that up Edd now if you'lol excuse me--" I rolled over onto the floor from my position on the couch but Edd cut me off.
"So!! I've decided we need to be more active!!" Tom and I both groaned but were forced to listen to what Edd had to say.
"So I've decided to send us to a summer camp!!" The room was silent before I broke out laughing.
"Ha ha ha ha!!! What is it April fools. Ah Edd you really had me going there...
A summer camp.. how ridiculo---" I stopped at Edds serious face" wait your serious!!" I stood up.
"Nope nope not doing it!!" Tom turned and headed back out of the doorway.
"But why Edd!! Were just fine here!!"
"Are you kidding me you lazy butts haven't done a single thing.!!!!" Edd smiled at us" besides I already paid!"How much was it...."
"Well..... ok I didn't pay a lot....." Edd was clearly excited by this.
I don't know what to say, in just a couple of sentences Edd had ruined our summer, that's a new record. I sighed knowing we would have no choice but to go. Tom still hadn't come back and I was sitting in the floor propped up against the couch.
"So go pack because we leave tomorrow!!!" Edd barked at us. Tom groaned from his position in the kitchen and I stood up slowly making my way back upstairs awaiting the horrible summer to come. I didn't own much alright so my bag was so flippin tiny... I had many of my red sweaters and red Ts with me. Ha, I just love that color. I collapsed on my bed, the sun still high in the sky yelling at me to do something productive. I ignored it's calls and pulled out one of my favorite  books of all time. The author was Robertson wells, does that ring a bell for anyone because it reminds me of Harrison wells from the flash no, and the book was called variant. I hadn't read this book once or twice but over a million times. It's about this kid that goes to a school and finds out it's evil or something. They are trapped in the school and are monitored constantly by cameras capturing their every move. Breaking the rules is a no no and could result in death, but the school is holding a deathly secret and rules might be broken to find out what it is. So yeah that was a quick summary..(A/N this is actually a really good book and I advise you to read it) after about halfway into it the sun was setting, yeah I know you all will be thinking I'm a slow reader but no, I just studied every word carefully and make sure I know what's going on. I looked at the time realizing it was time for dinner. Edd said he'd be making something special for us. I entered the kitchen consciously sitting at the table while
Edd worked by the stove. Tom was sitting on the the other side of the table looking grouchy still drinking. Finally Edd was done, he laid the food out on the table. The hot steam rose from the hot food. It was lamb, potatoes fried with a hard outside layer and a warm yummy inside layer, Brussels sprouts that only Edd would eat, and mint sauce(A/N omg this is my grandmas recipe for lamb dinner and I almost die every time I hear it cause it's so damn good!! Especially the mint sauce which has vinegar in it!!! I love vinegar!!!!). This was our special dinner, we only had this diner of special occasions... we were all eager to eat now smelling that delicious smell of lamb and mint sauce(which goes good on anything, even cabbage) our mouths watering at the sight of the food. We quickly nomed the food and found ourselves in heaven. Nom nom nom..... so flippin delicious!!!
