So random question, do you think walkers can swim? Based on my opinion, no I don't think they can. I think about what Jenner said "it brings the brain stem back to life. There is no 'you' your memories, life, thoughts, everything's gone" so how would they be able to swim? First, they're way too damn slow and uncoordinated. The well walker couldn't swim he just grew gills. I don't think they can swim so if a walker walked into the lake or ocean I think they would just sink to the bottom. They can't breathe so it's not like they can drown. That's just my opinion. What's your take on it?
Reedus kisses for everyone!! Xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Here's the next chapter Nords!!

We had been traveling for a week still trying to get to the coast. It was a slow process constantly having to stop to find gas, food, or little Sophia having to use the bathroom every hour. It was starting to become difficult and I was thinking we would never get there.
We had killed people, more than I could count. We always told Sophia that they were bad people and we had too or that they were already bit just hadn't turned yet. That wasn't the complete truth but it was partial and that's all that mattered. She didn't need to know the whole truth.
We needed supplies and we got them from the people that we killed. My heart for other survivors in this world had become cold. Before I cared now after everything that had happened to me and our group I didn't care. It was them or me and it definitely wasn't going to be me.
I would go to the ends of the earth, no pun intended, to protect what I had left. Though it wasn't much I wasn't going to let them die like everyone else had. I loved Merle, Sophia, and Daryl too much to watch them die. Daryl shifted beside me and my eyes shot open.
To my surprise though it wasn't Daryl it was Merle. I was leaning against him because I had fallen asleep but before I had I knew Daryl was in his place. I'm surprised he hadn't shaken me off of him. I looked over to see that Daryl was driving.
Sophia was asleep in between us. I sat up and stretched in what little space I had. "Are we getting any closer?" I asked. Merle was looking at a map that was now of Florida. "We're in Gainesville. We're headed to Kendall which is near Miami," I felt my eyebrows arch.
"Miami? Are you sure that's a good idea? That place is highly populated there are probably a bunch of walkers there," I said. Merle shook his head. "We'll stop there for a night collect supplies then head towards Homestead. Once we get there we'll try to find a boat and head towards Key Largo."
I snorted and both Dixons looked at me. "What?" Daryl asked. I chuckled a little. "A bunch of hicks in Key Largo, that sounds interesting," I said. Both Dixons chuckled. "It isn't that populated though according to the map its 12,000 people but that was 10 years ago," I nodded slightly.
I was hoping that we wouldn't be walking into a death trap. That was the last thing we needed. Things had been going pretty smooth for us it seemed but we were still keeping ourselves on our toes. Daryl and Merle both were excellent shots with a gun while Sophia and I were still learning.
According to Merle, Sophia needed to learn how to protect herself while I needed to learn how to shoot because if we got into a horde of walkers my crossbow and knife would be shit. I wasn't complaining I knew he was right but I hated how loud guns were especially in this world.
"I can drive here in a bit if you want me too," I said. Both Dixons shook their heads. "What, you don't trust me?" I asked. Both chuckled and Merle spoke up. "We ain't wanting to look gay sitting by each other, Girlie," Merle said. I snorted with laughter.
Here we were in the middle of the damn apocalypse and they were concerned with looking gay by sitting by each other. Who was gonna see them and make fun of them? The walkers? "You can put Sophia in the middle of you two. Problem solved," I said.
Merle shook his head. "Ain't happening just sit there and look pretty," Merle said. I sighed and sat back in my seat. Though Merle and I were getting along I learned that I just needed to agree with him or his temper would get the best of him. So far since we've been alone that hasn't happened.
"How long do you think it will take to get there?" I asked. Daryl shrugged but Merle answered. "I'd say about five hours or so depending on how much we have to stop," he said eyeing Sophia. Secretly I knew she was slowing us down but we couldn't help it.
She couldn't run, hunt, or protect herself like we could but we weren't going to leave her behind. I knew Merle had grown fond of her too. They became close after that night at the cabin. I sighed and leaned against Merle not carrying if it irritated.
He stiffened and then relaxed before patting my head with his stump awkwardly. I rolled my eyes at his weirdness. It was quiet between all of us as Daryl continued to drive. Sophia woke up and rubbed her eyes before leaning in Daryl. I smiled as Daryl ruffled her hair slightly.
Merle's hand fell on top of mine and squeezed them gently. I squeezed back and clasped his hand in mine. Secretly I was a little scared. We were killing anyone that wasn't a part of our original group. Who knew how many people were actually left out there that were living.
Who knew where our group was or even if they were alive. We hadn't found any traces of them in about three weeks. I'd say we were heading in the exact opposite of each other. We were still trying to find a safe place while they were probably hunkered down somewhere.
"So we should be there by nightfall?" I asked. I felt Merle nod his head and I sighed trying to get comfortable. I had tried to convince the boys a few days ago to find a truck with a back seat so we could sit two and two and still have the bike but they said the bigger the truck the more gas.
Granted they were right I was starting to become cramped and since it was getting warmer I was honestly thinking about riding in the bed of the truck just to get some fresh air and be able to stretch out. I knew Daryl or Merle wouldn't go for that and if they did one of them would ride back there before me.
The truck started sputtering and slowing down. Both Merle and I looked over at Daryl who hit the steering wheel and let out a soft curse. Merle and I looked at each other before turning our attention back to Daryl. He grumbled a little before announcing, "We're out of gas."
