I woke up the next morning and my ankle was hurting like a bitch. I groaned and sat up rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I looked over to see Daryl sitting with his back to me. He was shirtless and his scars were revealed. I crawled over to his side and started kissing his scars.

I wrapped my arms around his neck from behind and worked my way up to kissing his neck. "Morning," I mumbled against his skin. He didn't even say anything to me. I sighed and tightened my grip around him while leaning over my shoulder. I noticed he was holding what made him smile a couple days before.

I did it. I finally graduated high school. I cheered along with the rest of my class as we threw our caps in the air. We were dismissed and I was done with high school forever! I stood at the bottom of the bleachers and smiled up at my family who was sitting at the top.

I watched as they slowly made their way down through the crowd of people. They smiled and I watched Logan flash me a thumbs up. It was going to be different leaving all of them behind, especially Logan. Even though he annoyed me a lot I would still miss him.

I smiled a little and waved up at them. Right as I dropped my arm from waving I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist and I was off the ground being spun in a circle. "Beautiful," I heard being whispered in my ear. Daryl. When I felt my feet on the ground I turned around in his arms to face him.

"Hi babe," he said before connecting his lips with mine. "Aw, Bob take a picture quick," I heard my mom say. I pulled back and buried my now reddened face in Daryl's chest. He chuckled a little and rubbed my back. I turned to face my parents who were all smiles.

Daryl tightened his grip around me as I leaned into him. Neither Merle nor Daryl's dad showed up and I felt bad for him. I placed my hands over his and sighed as he kissed my cheek. I knew we were going back to grill at my house and we were inviting friends.

Daryl on the other hand would probably go back to his house and have to deal with his drunken family. We all stood and looked around us as other families hugged their children. "Can Daryl come back to our house and stay over?" I asked my parents.

Daryl shifted uncomfortably behind me and I squeezed his hands reassuringly. "You're always welcome at our house, Daryl," my mom said sweetly. I felt a smile creep across my face. After I sat down and talked with them they never questioned what went on at Daryl's house.

They started treating Daryl like their own and though sometimes he felt uncomfortable with it deep down I knew he liked having the feeling of 'family' around. We all agreed that we would meet back at the house because my parents had to get some last minute things at the store.

Daryl and I hopped in his truck and pulled out of the parking lot for the last time. "See you later, bitches!" I yelled out the window to a group of my friends who were all standing around talking. They all cheered and waved as we drove off towards my house.

"I can't believe it's finally over," I said to Daryl as I sat back in my seat a little. Daryl bit on his thumb nail nervously. "What's wrong?" I asked him. He shrugged a little. "Nothing, it's just a little weird to think we're done with school forever," he said.

I snorted a little. "There's college," I said. Daryl snorted in return. "For you maybe I ain't going," he said. I sighed and ran a hand over my face. "What are you gonna do?" I asked him. He shrugged a little. "I'll find work somewhere," he said.

I sighed again. I knew he couldn't afford college and even if his brother and father were asses he wasn't going to leave them. I shifted in the seat a little as I took my cap and gown off and sat it in the seat beside me. "To new adventures?" I asked him and he nodded.

That night at the cook out we had partied hard. My parents let me drink for what they thought was the first time. Daryl and I were both drinking and dancing and having a good time. I was actually shocked at how at ease he was. It was most likely the alcohol talking.

One thing I always remembered from that night was the gift my mom had given me. She had made a scrapbook of Daryl and me. It was filled with pictures, concert tickets, and notes he had written me. Definitely one of the greatest presents I had ever received besides everything Daryl had given me.

Now looking over Daryl's shoulder I recognized the scrapbook. It was quiet as he flipped from page to page looking at everything. That book held and brought back so many memories. "Sometimes I wish we could turn back time," I whispered in Daryl's ear.

He turned around a little to look at me. "I don't," he said. I cocked an eyebrow and reached down to flip the page. I smiled at the picture in front of me. It was a picture of Daryl and me the day we had graduated. It was taken at my house in the backyard. Daryl had an arm around me, cigarette hanging lazily from my lips with a smirk on his face while I was on my tiptoes kissing his cheek.

It was the perfect picture to describe our relationship...then. "Why not?" I asked him. He looked down at the photo and ran his hand over it before closing the book and turning around completely to look at me. "Because we broke up the week after that," he said.

My arms were still around his neck as his found my waist. "That was then," I whispered. Daryl slightly nodded. "If not for this I don't know if I would have gotten you back," Daryl said. I bit my lip a little. "Yeah you're probably right," I said cracking a smile.

Daryl smirked a little. "You're just full of jokes aren't you," he said while pushing me back on the bed. He brushed his lips lightly over mine before connecting them together. Daryl's fingers gripped my hips as he pulled me into him more. He groaned as a knock came from the door.

"Damn it," he whispered while getting off the bed and heading down the stairs. I got up and quickly changed and pulled up my hair. I clipped my belt around my waist while sheathing my knife. I grabbed Daryl's belt and crossbow a long with mine and headed down the stairs.

I was still limping a little but Merle's pills seemed to be helping. Daryl shut the door and went to turn around and practically ran into me. "Time to go?" I asked him with amusement in my voice. He chuckled a little while taking his belt and clipping it around him.

"Deputy Do Good ruined another moment," I smirked a little while slinging my crossbow on my back and handing him is. "How many of us are going?" I asked him. We walked out the door and started towards the group. "Rick, me, you, and Chinaman."

I rolled my eyes. "He's Korean," I said. "Whatever," Daryl retorted back. We were greeted by Rick and Glenn and a few others that were just getting up. "Daryl and Em," Daryl glared at Rick, "Emery," he corrected. "Take your truck. Glenn and I will take a car."

Daryl and I started towards his truck when I growled. "Son of a bitch," I said. Daryl cocked an eyebrow at me as I approached my side of the truck. One of his tires was flat and I could see the hole from where a bullet went through it, just fucking great.

"Ya think one of those tires from that other truck will fit on it?" he asked. I shrugged. "Who knows, but we don't have time to figure it out. The bike it is then," I said while hopping up into the back of the truck. I unstrapped the bike from the back.

"Easy with it," Daryl grunted. I chuckled a little while looking up at him. "I don't see your ass up here getting it down," I said. Daryl quickly jumped up in the back. Rick and Glenn came over to help us get it down. I wiped the sweat from my brow as Daryl clicked his crossbow on the back of the bike.

He slung his leg over the bike and looked at me. "Let's go, beautiful," he said. I sighed a little and placed my hands on my hips. I blew some stray hairs out of my face and looked at Daryl. I had never ridden on his bike or Merle's I should say let alone a bike in general.

Daryl placed his hands on the handle bars and leaned back a little. "You coming?" he asked. I cocked an eyebrow. "Oh yeah that's right you've never ridden on a bike," he snorted. I glared over at him. "How would you know?" I asked. Daryl snorted again.

"Em, whose bike could you have possibly rode on?" he asked me. I rolled my eyes. "We don't have time for this," I sighed. "You're right we don't," he said while holding out a hand to me. He pulled me over to him and helped me on the back. He grabbed my hands and wrapped them around his waist.

"Better hold on," he said while starting it up. I relaxed and ran my hand up and down Daryl's chest. He tensed and then shrugged his shoulders and relaxed as he started towards gate. I smirked a little noticing the effect I had on him. Carol and Lori closed the gate as we took off.

Rick waved us on and Daryl sped past him leading the way. We knew our way around here and knew how to get in and out quickly. I sighed and rested my head on Daryl's back and let the vibrations of the bike run through my body. It actually wasn't as bad as what I thought it would be.

After about a 30 minute drive Daryl rolled to a stop and shut off the bike. I lifted my head and took in the sights around me. I knew this town and shopping center like the back of my hand. I slid off the bike and Daryl followed. We both held our crossbows and looked over at each other. "Here's goes nothing."
