I woke up the next morning to strong arms wrapped around my waist and rolled over. I was met by Daryl's snoring face. I chuckled a little and propped myself up on an elbow and watched him sleep. His hair had fallen over his face and I gently pushed it away.

He stirred a little and his grip tightened on me as he mumbled something inaudible. I felt a smile creep on my face. Daryl stirred again and his eyes slowly opened. His eyes locked with mine as he yawned. He rubbed his eye and squeezed me with the arm that was still wrapped around me.

"Morning," he mumbled. I smiled a little more. "Morning, we're moving today," I said a little excitedly. I looked to see that Daryl didn't look that excited. My smile started fading seeing his face. "What's wrong?" I asked him. He sat up with his arms still around me.

"I talked to Rick yesterday," he drawled. I felt my eyebrow arch at him. "And?" I asked him. He sighed and buried his head in the crook of my neck. "Daryl what aren't you telling me?" I asked him. I felt his hot breath against my neck and it made goose bumps appear on my skin.

"Rick wants us to move into your house," Daryl whispered against my skin. He pulled back a little so he could look at me. I felt my smile fade all the way. "As much as I don't want to I had a feeling he would want us to," I said. Daryl nodded a little and unwrapped his arms from me.

I instantly missed the warmth of them around me. Daryl through back the covers and slid out of the bed. He quickly changed into his jeans and a semi clean shirt. I sighed and got out of bed and changed as well. I somewhat made the bed and made sure everything was in my bag.

I slid the bag over my shoulder and looked over at Daryl. He had slid his bag along with his crossbow on his back. He walked over to me and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "It's a beautiful day," I whispered. Daryl barely nodded and let his hand slide down my arm until it stopped at my hand.

He laced his fingers with mine and pulled me out the door. As we were walking down the stairs we were greeted by the smell of whatever breakfast they were cooking up. Everyone was moving around the bottom floor of the house quietly. Mumbled 'mornings' were directed our way.

Daryl dropped my hand and walked into the kitchen. He brought back two plates and handed one to me. I sniffed it cautiously before taking a bite. It was squirrel again. I quickly finished it not wanting to even taste it as it went down. I was getting sick of it.

I sat my plate down on the table and waited for Daryl to finish. Rick walked in with Lori attached to his hip. He was silent as they ate. After he finished he addressed the group. "We're splitting up today," he started and everyone shifted a little uncomfortably.

"Daryl and Emery will get her house. I think it's only fair. The rest of us will split up as we want too," Rick said. We all nodded and Daryl grabbed his bags from the floor. "Let's go Em," he said. I gave a small nod to everyone and followed Daryl outside.

My house was the last one in the housing edition, all the way at the end by itself. The walk to my house seemed like it was taking forever. It seemed like the more steps I took the farther my house seemed to be. I sighed as Daryl's hand brushed against mine lightly.

He seemed to know when I was upset and always made some small gesture to show that he was there. We had finally arrived at my house. I slowly walked up the two steps on the front porch. I reached for the doorknob but stopped myself. I sighed again.

There was an eerie feeling that came over me. It felt weird being back here. All my childhood and teenage memories came flooding back. Daryl opened the door for me and stepped inside. He reached out and pulled me in and shut the door behind me.

I leaned against the door as I took in the area surrounding me. My living room looked exactly the same. There was some dust around the place from where it had sat for so long. I took a few steps into the house listening to my footsteps across the floor.

Daryl was beside me and he wrapped an arm around me. "It's weird," I whispered. Daryl squeezed my shoulder before pulling me further into the house. We walked into the kitchen and it looked exactly the same too. I looked over at the stairs and sighed.

I slowly walked up the stairs and approached the first door. It was my parent's room. They always wanted to be the first room so they could be able to hear things more easily. I walked in and ran my hand over the dresser as I walked through the room.

I sighed and walked back out while shutting the door. The next room was Logan's. I didn't know how I would take seeing his room but I opened it anyway. His room was exactly the same. The light color blue accented his walls with a few posters of his favorite bands here and there.

I walked over to the window and looked out. His window over looked the whole edition and you could see over the fence line. I felt arms wrap around my waist and I jumped a little. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," Daryl said. I leaned back and relaxed in to him.

I placed my hands over his and sighed. "It's okay. I'm just not used to this quite yet," I said. Daryl placed a kiss on my shoulder and then my neck. I turned around in his arms and wrapped my arms around his neck. He pulled me in to him and his lips connected to mine.

This kiss was short a little too short for my liking. "I have something for you," Daryl said while pulling back. I groaned and buried my head in his chest. "Way to kill the moment," I mumbled. Daryl pulled me out of Logan's room and shut the door.

We made our way to the last door on the left, my room. I was kind of excited to be back in my own bed, in my own room. Daryl opened the door and immediately covered my eyes. "Jerk," I said while trying to pry his hands off of my eyes but he pulled me into him so I couldn't.

Daryl walked us over to the edge of my bed and uncovered my eyes. Lying on my bed were four brand new crossbows, a long bladed hunting knife with holder for it, enough bolts for the crossbows, and two brand new quivers to hold the bolts. Two were a little smaller than the others.

Daryl picked one of the smaller ones and handed it to me. "The smaller ones are youth crossbows. Easier to handle, lighter drawl back, it's perfect for you," he said. A small smile formed on my face as I took it of his hands and held it in my own. It wasn't too heavy it actually seemed to fit perfectly.

Daryl picked up the hunting knife next. "So you can stop taking mine," he said. I chuckled as he placed it back on the bed. Daryl's eyes were lit up like a little kid in a candy shop. You could definitely tell things like this made him happy no matter the situation.

"I can start teaching you how to shoot as soon as you want," Daryl said. He took the crossbow from my hands and laid it back on the bed. I felt butterflies in my stomach. Daryl was never one for letting people in on his hunting and shooting let alone a girl.

It was always his alone time. It gave him time to think and he always went out in the woods to blow off steam. He took me out maybe twice the whole time we were together but he always said I was a big distraction for him and he could never concentrate when I was around.

"One more thing," Daryl said. I cocked an eyebrow at him. "Close your eyes," he said. I groaned but obeyed and closed my eyes. I heard Daryl moved around the room then he placed something soft in my hands. I felt the material in my hands trying to figure out what it was.

"You can open your eyes," Daryl said. I slowly opened them and I looked down to see what was in my hands. I was instantly met black material and I smiled as I recognized my black beanie cap. "Where did you find this?" I asked him while running my hand over it again.

I looked up at Daryl who smiled a little and took the beanie cap from me. He slowly slid it on my head before tapping his index finger to the tip of my nose. I smiled back at him. "It was lying on the floor in the restaurant the day.....uh, well yeah," his voice trailed off as he looked down.

I reached out and squeezed his hands. He looked up at me with a little bit of sadness in his eyes. I stepped forward and let his hands find my hips. I rested my hands on his chest. "Thank you," I said. I felt Daryl hands squeeze my hips a little as he pulled me closer.

"I thought I lost you...again," he whispered. I sighed and messed with a button his shirt. It had suddenly become interesting. Daryl wrapped his arms all the way around my waist. "You can't get rid of me that easily," I said with a slight laugh in my voice.

I looked up at Daryl who still had sadness in his eyes. "Seriously," Daryl said. I sighed, Daryl was really never that serious about anything. I leaned up and kissed Daryl lightly on the lips before pulling back and looking his deep in the eyes. "I'm not going anywhere anytime soon," I said.

Daryl grunted and pulled me close kissing me again. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him into me. I tugged on his hair lightly when he suddenly pulled back. I ran my hands through his hair while he looked at me. I finally connected my eyes with his. "Not if I can help it."
