"Kakashi, Obito, your mission is to rescue Rin," Minato said solemnly.

"What happened to Rin?!" Obito yelled frantically.

"Calm yourself, Obito," Kakashi rolled his eyes, even though he was worried for his teammate too.

"How can I calm down?! This is Rin, Bakashi! RIN! Do you not get how important she is?!" Obito ranted, waving his arms around.

"Obito, you can't rescue her with thinking like that. And don't think you're the only one who cares about Rin. She's important to me too," Kakashi said calmly.

Obito stared at his teammate, who had changed ever since the encounter with the three weird kids.

"Fine! Okay! I accept this mission, and I have a clear head. Can we go now?" Obito asked impatiently.

Minato laughed. "Alright, go ahead. Kakashi's captain of the mission, though."

"Damnit!"

"Guys, please, just kill me! I'm the jinchuuriki of the Three-Tailed beast! They triggered my seal so when I step foot in Konoha, it will go free and destroy the village!" Rin shouted.

"You are so not going to die, Rin!" Obito yelled from behind her. Kakashi was holding her wrist and dragging her along while he ran.

"We won't kill you," Kakashi agreed.

(Blah blah blah, let's skip to the exciting part when they are surrounded by enemy ninja)

"Damnit, we're surrounded!" Obito seethed.

"Ooookaaayyyyy, things are looking bad. When are we jumping in?" A certain pinkette observed them.

"Um, I dunno. Probably when Rin is killed," the raven replied nonchalantly. 

He was quickly bopped on the head after a silencing seal was slapped onto his tongue.

"Damnit Ke! We're not letting any of them die! Regardless whether Obito knows that Rin wanted to die or not, he'll go crazy!" the blonde hissed. "I think," he added uncertainly.

The raven rolled his eyes and picked at his tongue. The girl shot a look at the other boy and he grunted before dissolving the seal, allowing the second boy to talk once more.

"Geez, okay, I was only kidding."

"Alright, keep out of the way. I'm going to wrap this up quickly." Lightning encased Kakashi's arm.

Rin bit her lip and before Obito could stop her, lunged straight in the way of Kakashi's Chidori.

"NARUTO!" 

The trio heard a female voice scream before Kakashi's eye widened. In front of him, blood trickling from his mouth, was a boy with blonde spiky hair, blue eyes and three whisker marks on each cheek. 

A miniature version of Minato-sensei.

Rin stood behind him frozen with shock, her chocolate eyes widened in horror.

"Naruto, you idiot!" A pink-haired girl rushed out of the bushes, followed by a black blur as they caught the boy as he fell.

Kakashi was frozen in horror, his arm encased with blood.

"Ruto? Ruto, hang in there!" the black-haired boy cried, holding his hand as the girl carefully maneuvered his head on her lap and worked on healing the hole in his chest.

"Heh. . . *cough* d-don't worry." The blonde smiled weakly. "I *cough* survived this before. . . remember? When. . . I tried. . . to stop you. . . from leaving. . . Ke."

Naruto coughed out some blood, making it stain his clothes.

"Naruto!" Sasuke and Sakura screamed.

The blonde boy was glowing, and he was slowly chipping away. 

(Imagine how a Reanimation disappears)

Sasuke and Sakura leaned closer, their ears nearly touching his lips as he whispered something to them. 

"I. . . never told you this. . . but you guys. . . were my f-family. Th-Thanks for being there. . . when no one else was. . . I'm s-sorry I couldn't last long enough. . . I'll see you soon. When I'm. . . born. . . again. . ."

And then he was gone, leaving the distraught boy and girl.

His words rang in their confused minds. And then it clicked. They would be conceived, and then born again as babies in this world. They would still have a chance.

"I-I'm s-sorry," Kakashi stuttered.

"Don't be," the boy muttered lowly. "He wanted to save your teammate. It wasn't your fault."

"This is my fault." Rin's knees buckled underneath her. "I was the one who tried to kill myself. If it wasn't for him. . . I'd be dead. It's my fault! He wanted to save me!" 

Rin buried her face in her hands and started crying.

"No. . . you tried to save your village." A soft hand on her shoulder made her look up, and Rin's eyes widened when she saw the last person she expected to comfort her.

The girl.

"Naruto. . . Naruto's flaw was loyalty and recklessness. He was always loyal to you to the very end, and he could be increasingly reckless. That flaw had him in hospital so many times, I've lost count." She smiled sadly. 

"Don't think it's your fault. Just live your life, and be with the ones you love. That's what Naruto would say."

Obito was frozen throughout the whole ordeal. He had watched his crush try to kill herself, be saved by a blonde boy, who had died by Kakashi's hand. And he couldn't do anything. He did absolutely nothing. Nothing at all.

"Obito." The soft voice made his head jerk up.

"You are the one who can protect this team. In many ways, you are just like Naru," the pinkette said softly.

"You're both loud, funny idiots. You care greatly for others and would do anything for your team. In your case, more one than the other, but still," the raven added.

"You will grow up to be a great person one day. Just like Naru," the girl smiled sadly. 

"But. . . I couldn't. . ." Obito hung his head ashamedly. "And it's because of my lack of skill your friend died."

She shook her head. "No, you may be the dead-last compared to Kakashi, the prodigy, but sheer determination, hard work and the strength coming from the will to protect those precious to you will shape you into an incredible ninja."

The boy looked at each member of Team Minato.

"Remember, teamwork is the key. If one of you dies, betrays or leaves the other person behind, it could cause the entire team to fall apart."

His eyes were shadowed by his hair. "I know from personal experience."

"Rin, I just want you to know, you're the keystone. Without you, the whole team falls apart. Don't try to kill yourself again," the pinkette said to the brunette.

"I. . . I won't." There was a burning resolve in the in the usually calm, warm brown eyes.

"I believe it is also our time to go." The boy came up behind the girl.

They were both glowing.

"Listen well, all three of you. We are going to tell you who we really are," the boy said solemnly. "My name is Sasuke Uchiha, and this is Sakura Haruno. We are from the future."

Chaos erupted.

"Are you seriously expecting us to believe that?!"

"Who are you, really?"

"What do you want with us?"

"Are you gonna harm the Leaf?!"

"Why did you help us? Are you enemies?"

"SHUT UP!" Sasuke yelled. "Okay, so I know it's hard to believe, but Ruto summoned Kami, and she sent us back in time. No interrupting," he glared. "Konoha is no more where we are from. So we came to change that future. We want to make sure everything turns out right, and everything went downhill after Obito supposedly "died"."

"Okay, so we haven't got much time. Just to let you know, I think we're about to be conceived." Sakura turned a little green at the mental image.

"Watch over the future for us until we are old enough to take care of it ourselves!" Sakura cried as they started to chip away.

"Let the Uchiha help with the Kyuubi Attack! On October 10th!" 

"Let Naruto become the Nine-Tails' jinchuuriki!" 

"And try to make sure Minato and Kushina don't die!"

The two were yelling out important parts before they eventually dissolved. 

"And remember. . . don't die! Live for each other, for us, for the village, for THE FUTURE!"

Yep. That's a wrap. I actually, literally dreamed up the part were Naruto got killed instead. I never liked time-travel stories when there are two Narutos and other people running around. So, they are alive to make sure Obito and Rin didn't die, and they are also disappearing so they can be. . . birthed!

The thing is, because Naruto died, this means that they all disappear, ready to be birthed again.
