"Leaf Legion! Hokage's Office, PRONTO! " Naruto shouted mentally as he and Sasuke sped towards the Hokage Tower, leaving a cloud of dust behind.

"What? Naruto, explain," Sakura demanded.

"No time, Kakabaka just informed us that we were supposed to be at the Hokage's Office for interrogation at 7, and it's already 6:57! " Sasuke exclaimed.

"Why that - I'm going to give that white-haired ninja a piece of my mind! " Sakura snarled as she took off in the direction of the Hokage Tower, the Leaf Legion racing after her.

"Uh, maybe you should cut him some slack, Saki," Naruto said nervously. "He's going to be a father. . ."

Silence. Utter silence.

"WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?! "

screamed the whole Leaf Legion.

"They're having a WHAT?! " Neji shouted, eyes wide with shock as his cheeks slightly coloured up.

"A kid," Naruto muttered.

"A-A baby. . . that's wonderful that they're starting a family of their own," Ino said as if in a daze.

Sasuke shot Naruto a wide-eyed look, which he returned. They had totally forgotten about Ino and Tenten! This might trigger their locked-away-memories!

"Hurry up people, the clock's ticking! " Naruto said in a hurry, speeding up even faster.

"AHHHHHH! " they all screamed in panic.

Just as the Uchiha brothers rounded a corner, the Leaf Legion was running right at them. They quickly swerved to the right and leapt up the stairs, their friends right behind them.

"6:58! Hurry up!" Shino cried as he pushed Hinata to go faster, Kiba in front of her.

"Move move MOVE!!!" Shikamaru snapped.

"Faster! Go FASTER, DAMNIT!" Hinata yelled, shoving herself against Kiba's back, almost pushing him to the ground by accident with the amount of force she was shoving with.

The whole Leaf Legion was tripping and pushing and shoving, all frantic to get there on time.

"6:59!" Tenten screamed.

"Almost there!" Naruto, who was in the lead, shouting back to the crowd as he stumbled slightly but dashed down the hallway, throwing open the door to the office. As he did so, in his rush he tripped on the lip of the doorway. Because the Leaf Legion was right behind him in their massive rush, they all tripped over him.

Time seemed to slow down as he flailed, a surprised Sasuke tripping over his legs, Sakura who was pushing his back followed and thus made all the rest of the kids fall on top if them.

"What's the big idea?!" Kiba shouted, sandwiched between Neji and Ino.

A few minutes earlier. . .

Inoichi Yamanaka, Shikaku Nara, Choza Akimichi, Hiashi Hyuuga, Tsume Inuzuka, Shibi Aburame, Anko Mitarashi, Fugaku Uchiha, Mikoto Uchiha, Itachi Uchiha and Tsunade Senju were all in the Hokage's Office, waiting for the self-named "Leaf Legion" to arrive.

Inoichi was pacing around the Hokage's Office. "What is taking the kids so long?" he wondered aloud. "I told Kakashi to tell them first chance he got."

Shikaku, who was leaning on the wall of the office, sighed. "Give it some time. It's Kakashi after all, and you did catch him at the hospital. Something probably happened to Rin or Obito."

Inoichi grunted in agreement, but didn't cease his pacing.

And then, he at last heard a door banging and the muffled sound of numerous feet pounding up the stairs, rounding the corner and running in the corridor.

'About time,' he thought to himself as he glanced at the clock, immediately sweatdropping. '6:58! Have they been taking lessons from Kakashi-san?! '

"6:58! Hurry up!"

Shibi nearly fell over in shock as everyone choked on thin air at the voice that had just shouted.

"S-Shibi, was that," Tsume gasped, coughing slightly, "was that your son. . . yelling? "

Shibi did not reply. He had gone into shock.

"Move move MOVE!" Shikamaru's voice snapped as their footsteps sounded louder.

Shikaku's eyes widened. He had never heard his son shout so fiercely.

"Faster! Go FASTER, DAMNIT!"

Hiashi shot off the wall, eyes bulging out of his sockets. "Was that my daughter screaming? "

"6:59!" a female voice screamed as Inoichi took a glance at the clock again. They were cutting it very, very close.

"Almost there!" the familiar voice of a certain blob of sunshine shouted before the door burst open.

Inoichi opened his mouth to speak, reprimand, but he stopped when Naruto's eyes widened as he tripped over the lip of the doorway. Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, who were hot on his heels, stumbled over his sudden halt and fell. The entire "Leaf Legion" who was in a very big rush as well, tripped over them and they were all sent crashing onto the floor.

Inoichi internally winced as he saw the pale-skinned boy above his daughter turn slightly blue, crushed underneath his teammate's son, Choji. He couldn't completely stop a bigger wince when he saw Naruto underneath the pile of bodies. He must be finding it hard to breathe.

"What's the big idea?!" Kiba shouted as he was sandwiched between Neji and Ino.

Tsume snorted at the unforunate position her son was in, underneath the Yamanka girl and on top of the stoic Hyuuga branch prodigy.

Fugaku sighed quietly and glanced at the clock.

7:00

They made it just on time.

"Shut up Kiba and get off!" Sasuke barked.

"I WOULD if I COULD!" Kiba snapped back, clearly implying the heavy weight on top of him.

"Excuse me Kiba? What did you just imply?" Ino asked in a sickly sweet tone that made him pale drastically as he sweated buckets.

"N-Nothing Ino!" he said in a hurry.

"WHO IS ON TOP OF THE PILE?!" Naruto roared, crushed between the weight of all the children on top of him. "DO YOU THINK YOU ALL WEIGH LIKE FEATHERS?! NO! NOW GET OFF! I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO STAND UP WITHOUT LUNG PROBLEMS OR A BROKEN SPINE!"

"Akamaru! Off!" Kiba commanded.

The pup barked as he jumped off and stood in front of Naruto's face, wagging his tail happily.

Hinata rolled to the right from the top of the pile and landed neatly in a crouch before standing up like there wasn't a huge pile of bodies in front of her. Shikamaru rolled to the left and stayed on the ground.

Shikaku smiled slightly at the typical Nara laziness.

"Shika!" Ino scolded as she held a supportive hand on Sai, who was trying to reassure her apologetic Akimichi teammate that he was fine even after being crushed underneath his weight. "Stop being so lazy and get up! "

"What a drag," Shikamaru groaned as Choji tried to help him up, but instead was pulled down to lie next to the Nara. Lee instantly sprung off the pile with starry eyes, shouting something about a fountain of youth while a ticked of Neji got up and helped Tenten.

As Sasuke finally stood up, a thought hit him suddenly. "Naruto why the hell didn't you just Hiraishin us there?!"

Naruto, who was stretching after being crushed for agonizing minutes, turned to him bug-eyed. "Why didn't you mention that earlier?!"

"Why didn't you think of it earlier?!" Sasuke cried in retaliation.

"You mean we could've come here much faster without the rush and crush?" the Leaf Legion cried in unison.

Naruto sweatdropped as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Um, yeah?"

Everyone except the Uchiha brothers immediately anime-fell backwards, including the stoics.

"Oh, hey baa-chan!" Naruto suddenly noticed his grandmother.

"Mom? Dad? Itachi-nii?" Sasuke asked in surprise before deadpanning, "What the heck do you think you're doing here."

"Sasuke! Don't be rude!" Mikoto admonished at the same time Naruto bopped his brother on the head while stating in a bored voice, "Quit sounding like an ass, Ke."

Sasuke clutched his head, whining in pain. "Yes sir," he whine-grumbled, pouting childishly.

Naruto groaned and rolled his eyes, looking away. "Cho, Shika, get up," he said flatly with hidden warning underneath the boredom as his sharp blue eyes focused on them.

Shikamaru's eyes snapped open and he shot to his feet, Choji doing the same.

Internally, Shikaku's mouth fell open. Wait until Yoshino heard this, she'd be begging the boy to discipline her "lazy boy" as she was incredibly unsuccessful so far.

"No thank you, Nara-san," Naruto said politely.

Shikaku blinked. "Huh?"

"I know you're probably thinking that Shika's mom would want me to "discipline" him but no thanks."

"How did you -?"

"Shika's not Shika unless he's a lazy ass," Sasuke said bluntly as he hopped over to give the Nara a noogie.

"Oi, get off me Uchiha!" Shikamaru cried, wriggling violently in Sasuke's iron grip. Sasuke only laughed as he dug his knuckles harder into Shikamaru's skull.

"Moving along," Naruto said pointedly as he turned to the adults, "may I ask why we were summoned here Yamanaka-san?"

Inoichi blinked at the formality of the boy he was fairly sure used to be loud, rowdy and hyperactive. "Well we have called you all here to ask you some questions."

Immediately the playful atmosphere around the Leaf Legion dissipated, Sasuke sliding off a stone-still Shikamaru. All the children had bangs shadowing their eyes.

The adults sweatdropped.

"Come on, it's not like an interrogation or anything," Inoichi tried.

"Oh yeah? Then why is she here?" Naruto asked in a low, depressed tone as he raised a slightly shaking, crooked finger at Anko.

"Oi you twerp! Just because you removed the Curse Seal doesn't mean you can disrespect me you know!" Anko huffed indignantly.

"I'm not disrespecting you, Anko, but if it's not interrogation then why are you here? Shouldn't you be in the T&I with Ibiki or something?"

"You know I was planning on heading over to the T&I later myself," Sakura piped up suddenly.

"Oh! Can I come? I wanna see how your new poisons work out!" Ino said excitedly, brightening up.

Inoichi paled. "Ino, since when were you interested in poisons?"

"Since forever, duh!" Ino replied playfully, sticking her tongue out. "It's really fun to see the effects! I especially like the ones where they erode everything!"

Tsume then noticed her son talking with the Hyuuga heiress and the Aburame heir, and she strained her hearing to listen to them.

". . . need to improve taijutsu skills, Shino. Remember that mission to capture Suika? The missing-nin from Taki," Kiba was saying.

"Hm, I agree. Although I am working on improving my taijutsu, it is not up to its usual standards," Shino replied quietly.

"I perfected my "Protecting Eight Trigrams: Sixty-Four Palms", and it's a good thing I did because at this stage, I don't think I can perfect the "Eight Trigram Palms Revolving Heaven". I'll have to try that out later," Hinata informed them with a small smile.

"Tsume," Hiashi muttered in a low voice, "what did Hinata say? I only heard "perfect" and the "Eight Trigram Palms Revolving Heaven"."

Tsume considered letting the Hyuuga know what she heard, but then decided against it. From what she heard from Kiba, Hinata was only pretending to be weak but now decided to show her true strengths to her father. And she herself had never heard of "Protecting Eight Trigrams: Sixty-Four Palms", so it had to be an original technique created by Hinata.

So, Tsume simply shrugged. "I wasn't listening," she lied. "I was watching Naruto and Sasuke banter."

Thankfully, Naruto was still "scolding" his brother who was putting on a very childish, immature front so her lie so it was rather believable. It was a wonder how they had both turned out so differently, after being raised in the same household and being the same age. Actually, Naruto might be a few months younger than Sasuke, now that the Inuzuka clan head thought about it.

Hiashi huffed slightly and resumed his wall-leaning.

"Psst, Mom. Thanks for that."

Tsume jumped, her eyes instantly zeroing into her son who was listening to the Aburame boy talk. Oh Kami, the Aburame boy was talking. Since when did Aburames start talking voluntarily?

"Shino's special, he's not an antisocial like the rest of his clan."

Tsume blinked. 'Don't tell me. . .'

"Yeah, it's telepathy. Awesome, huh? Naruto and Sasuke rigged it up for us. Also, Hina-chan says thank you for keeping her secret. Anyways, I gotta get back to the team meeting. Bye! "

". . . also we have a new transfer we'd like you to meet. You might even welcome her into your little friendship group, although I should let you know she might have a few trust issues."

Tsume quickly tuned into the conversation Inoichi and Naruto were holding.

"Ah, from which village?"

"The Hidden Village of the Waterfall. She's about your age, maybe younger," Inoichi informed however he held back one major detail.

Naruto pursed his lips. "Is it Fuu, jinchuuriki of the Seven-Tailed Insect?"

Inoichi's eyes popped out. "H-How did you know that?"

Naruto shrugged. "I've met before. . . fairly short, shoulder-length green hair and amber eyes. Not very hard to forget that unique hair colour."

"Criticising her, are we Naru?" Sakura called sweetly, pausing from her and Ino's conversation of multiple poisons they were planning to concoct and test on unfortunate test subjects who just happened to be at the T&I at the wrong time.

"No ma'am," Naruto responded instantly. "I'm just commenting on it."

"Very good. Continue on."

Inoichi sweatdropped. "Anyway. . . you know she's a jinchuuriki? I don't think that's information one would voluntarily give a stranger."

"Stranger? Oh no, we're not strangers," Naruto said confidently. "Also, Sasuke take over I need to do something."

"What? Oh, he's coming isn't he?" Sasuke nodded sagely. "Hold on one second, Ino's father."

"YAMANAKA!" Naruto yelled with a tick mark. "It's Yamanaka-san! How many times do I have to tell you, you do not address an adult like that!"

"Oh, tush!" Sasuke scoffed. "Get on with it, he's probably getting cranky."

"Oh yeah, Naruto," Kiba called over, "how's Kurama doing? Is his training going as planned?"

'Thank goodness Kiba knows how to play along,' Naruto breathed in internal sigh of relief. "Yeah, he's coming along nicely," he replied in a happy tone.

"Does he respond to your whistle summoning or do you have to literally summon him?"

"He has slight trouble distinguishing which whistle means what, but he's getting there."

"Good. Akamaru took a while too, so just be patient with him," Kiba advised. "Although I'm hardly one to talk, and you're the one who has patience in spades. . ."

Naruto laughed. "I'm going to try whistling him and let's cross our fingers and hope he doesn't start giving out a warning howl."

The two boys laughed before Naruto paused for a moment, walking to the door and whistled sharply through his teeth. A moment later a small fox bounded through the doorway, a Konoha headband tied loosely around his neck.

"It has nine-tails. . ." Shikaku murmured, eyes widening slightly as he watched Naruto pick up the baby fox, said fox leaping from the boy's arms to his shoulder and then to his head, nestling himself in the blonde locks.

"Naruto," Fugaku spoke up, "is this Kurama?"

Naruto turned his head to his adoptive father, a serene smile on his face. "Yeah, he's great isn't he? Kiba and I have been training him!"

"He. . . has nine tails," Itachi said dumbly.

Naruto rolled his eyes. "Well apparently fox summons can have tails that reach up to nine, so it's no big deal. The number of tails represent its power and wisdom."

"Fox summons?" Itachi echoed.

"Well I'm just assuming Kurama is a fox summon, cause you know, most foxes don't have nine tails. But since he obviously decided to stick around I kinda made him my ninja fox," Naruto admitted sheepishly.

"He has sound reasoning, and I don't see why he can't have a ninja fox if Sasuke has a ninja wolf," Fugaku said calmly in response to the incredulous stares thrown his way.

"Sasuke has a WHAT now?!" Mikoto cried.

"Oh, Sasuke found a rather unusual baby wolf a few days ago and decided to take it in since Naruto got to keep his baby animal," Fugaku explained, completely unfazed.

Just then a baby wolf crept out from underneath the Hokage's desk, pausing momentarily before running straight to Sasuke.

"Oh, Nyx! That's where you were!" Sasuke cried happily, lifting up the blue and black wolf as she licked him happily.

Itachi facepalmed. "Dad you are too nonchalant about all this animal keeping. . . could you at least try and stop them?"

"What can I say, I totally give up on the boys' antics. It's too much, even for me."

"What about the strange colouring?"

"Itachi, Kurama has nine tails. I don't see the problem about having a uniquely-coloured wolf cub if Naruto can have a fox cub with nine tails. . . although son, you should probably hide it with a genjutsu. I don't think the villagers would react kindly to it," Fugaku advised as an afterthought.

Naruto nodded. "Thanks Dad."

Everyone gawked at the Uchiha clan head, except for his wife and eldest son who either sighed or facepalmed.

"You named your wolf after the primordial Nyx? The "embodiment of the night"?" Shikamaru asked in slight surprise.

"Well she is fairly dark except for those blue streaks on her body, and I didn't want to name her something like "Azure" or anything cutesy like that," Sasuke said sheepishly.

"Hmm, you could've named it Onyx," Neji suggested, bending slightly so he could look eye-to-eye with the admittedly adorable creature.

"It has blue streaks. . ."

"Oh true. But still, embodiment of the night? It's blue streaks would probably glow in the dark, given the sharp colour. Pretty good for leading the way, but not good for stealth or anything like that."

"Sasuke likes to define himself as the "embodiment of the night" when he's using his completely unnecessary theatrics," Naruto deadpanned. "You do the math."

The Leaf Legion sweatdropped as Sasuke went red.

"S-Shut up Naruto!" Sasuke stutter-yelled, making all the adults look at them quizzically. Sasuke just lifted his wolf cub and hid his face behind her, said wolf cub blinking innocently at the adults with her large azure eyes.

"Are you gonna start the questionnaire anytime soon or. . .?" Naruto trailed off pointedly as Inoichi coughed.

"Oh, yes about that. We'd like to take you into the questioning room in the T&I if that's alright with you kids."

The Leaf Legion exchanged suspicion-filled looks.

"There's no problem at all, Yamanaka-san," Naruto said carefully.

"What the heck do we do?! " Sasuke hissed telepathically as the Leaf Legion walked as normally as they could towards the T&I Department.

"Every time they ask us a question and it has to be something we must hide, quickly tell us it through telepathy and we shall discuss the answer we all agree on. That means we all get the same answer and no one will be suspicious," Naruto said calmly.

"Sound plan, Naruto. This is such a drag," Shikamaru muttered.

"Perhaps if we were more careful with our acting we wouldn't be taken into questioning like this," Neji stated pointedly.

"Oh come now, Neji, there's nothing we can do at this moment," Tenten said comfortingly. "All we can do is make sure we discuss answers before answering, just like Naruto said."

All too quickly, they arrived at the T&I Department.

"We'll be taking you one by one," Inoichi explained as he turned to the mob of solemn-faced children. "If you don't mind, Naruto, we'd like to question you first."

"Oh Farquaad," Naruto spat quietly.

"Hush, Naru, and go in with the man. Talk to us as soon as you get the first question."

Naruto shot them all one last look, which the Leaf Legion returned with reassuring ones, before their leader, brother and friend disappeared through a heavy metal door with the Yamanaka clan head.

"Will do, Saki, will do."

Naruto sat down slowly in the plastic chair opposite Inoichi. "How many questions are there?" he asked warily.

Inoichi was rather saddened by the fact that this young boy seemingly held little to no trust towards the village, or it's shinobi. "There won't be many, it depends on your answers," he replied kindly.

Naruto immediately relayed the information to the others. "Alright then, can we get started or is there certain things we need to do before?"

"No, we can get to the questioning. Most of it will be basic, and then we'll be diving deeper into what we need to know."

Again, the information was relayed to the Leaf Legion without Inoichi's knowledge.

"Alright, we're starting. Name?"

"Naruto Uzuchiha."

Inoichi raised an eyebrow. "Uzu. . . chiha?"

"It's a mix of both my surnames," Naruto explained. "I'm an Uzumaki, but I was adopted into the Uchiha family so technically I'm an Uchiha as well. I don't want to discard my mother's name, so I combined them together. I'd rather not add my father's name because it's not exactly common knowledge and also my father had quite a lot of enemies, especially in the Rock."

Inoichi nodded. "Alright, date of birth?"

"10th of October."

"Age?"

"Six," Naruto answered firmly as he added mentally, 'Finally.'

"Good. Your family members? As in, not including non-direct members," Inoichi added quickly at the six-year-old's skeptical look.

"Minato Namikaze, birth father. Kushina Uzumaki, birth mother. Tsunade Senju, blood-related grandmother. Fugaku Uchiha, adoptive father. Mikoto Uchiha, adoptive mother. Itachi Uchiha, adoptive older brother. Sasuke Uchiha, adoptive brother."

"Very good. Now when did you first meet the. . . Leaf Legion?"

"Guys! Help! He just asked how I met the Leaf Legion! " Naruto squeaked in a panic.

"Naruto, calm down," Shikamaru ordered. "Firstly, introduce us one by one in your "memories". While you're doing that, make up a story about Sakura, pretend she's the first one you met. Then you explain us all. Team Hajimari comes later."

"Okay, thanks Shika. Help me if I get stuck, if I pause I'll blame it on memory blank," Naruto whined.

"Good luck dobe. Good thing you have a great imagination."

"Shut up teme."

"Hn."

"Hm."

"Boys, stop it," Sakura chided.

"Yes ma'am," both boys chorused obediently.

". . . ruto? Naruto?" Inoichi was waving a hand in front of the blonde's face with a worried expression. "Are you alright? You spaced out."

"Oh, I'm fine," Naruto said quickly. "I was just on a trip down memory lane."

Inoichi nodded understandingly as Naruto took a deep breath. "There are quite a lot of us, so this is going to take a while. . ."

"Take your time."

"Okay. Well as you know, Sasuke is also part of the Leaf Legion so there's one person explained. The "first" person we met would be Saki, or as you know her Sakura Haruno. Ke and I were training in a training ground one day, and I kind of felt a presence watching us. So I told Ke and he made a Shadow Clone for me as subtly as he could, and then I went off to try and find the culprit. I felt the presence moving around constantly, always staying a few miles ahead of me. I eventually gave up and then went back to training with Ke. We sparred for fifteen minutes, and in that time frame we totally exhausted each other, and we had some minor injuries."

"What injuries?" Inoichi asked curiously.

"Well. . ." Naruto rubbed the back of his neck, "our definition of "minor" is different to yours."

"Do tell."

"Well Ke had a sprained ankle, twisted knee and was fairly winded from a punch I gave him. I was slightly burned and had broken my arm and probably dislocated a shoulder. We both had quite a lot of bruises and a black eye."

"You call that minor?!" Inoichi yelled as he leapt up.

"I did say our definition of "minor" is going to most likely going to be vastly different to yours. . ."

"You never said "vastly"!"

"Oh, really? Well, moving on. I was fed-up with the presence just watching us, so I called out to it. Then out came this girl with a huge forehead and bright pink hair. I chose not to remark on it but Ke had no such restraints and commented rather bluntly and rudely, might I add. She got angry which is totally understandable and hit Ke on the head for his comment, and he started whining in pain like a little kid as his head grew a bump. Saki immediately apologized and started fussing over him as she used her medical ninjutsu to heal him, as well as his other injuries. Then she healed me."

"How old were you again?" Inoichi asked warily.

"Um, we were four when we met Saki, but we were five when we met the rest of the Leaf Legion," Naruto offered once Shikamaru did the calculations for him.

"I. . . see." Outwardly, Inoichi was calm. But inwardly, he was freaking out. 'How the heck did they get injuries at a training spar when they were FOUR?! Shouldn't someone be supervising them?! I need to talk to Fugaku-san and Mikoto-san. . . '

"We talked a lot and became friends, and we found out that she wanted to be a medical ninja when she grows up."

"Okay, let's see here. . . when and how did you meet Shino Aburame?"

"Shino? Oh I found a bug I had never seen before in Ke's tomato garden, so I figured why not bring it to an Aburame? I was really curious about it, you see, so I dragged Ke with me to the Aburame Compound, and I found Shino crouching in front of a plant. Seeing as he was my age, I decided to talk to him. He was rather startled at first, and very. . . reserved, but then I got him to really open up after I showed him the bug!"

"I-Interesting. . . now what about Sai? I haven't seen him around the village before, and I don't think he belongs to any clans or has a civilian family, however my daughter seems to have taken a rather large liking to him."

'Yeah, and if you knew how much you would probably die of a heart attack,' Naruto snickered mentally. "Well Sai was very different. . . he's an orphan but unlike me he has no adopted family or anything. He can't really remember anything after we found him in the forest on the outskirts of Konoha. Ino was the first to find him, and as such she was the first to gain his trust. We started giving him food and stuff to keep him alive, and then we became friends too."

"Do you know where he lives, if he has a guardian?"

Naruto opened his mouth but shut it. Where did Sai live? Crap, he would have to contact again to make up stuff in the middle of the questionnaire.

"Sai, where do you live? "

"With. . . the Yamanaka? I don't know, Ino sneaks me around a lot. Either that or I live in a rented apartment I guess."

"Idiot! " Ino hissed. "I should've known my father would do something like this! I swear when it comes to my turn I'm going to give him a piece of my mind! Prying into my personal life like this, asking my friends things that he should be asking me! Ugh, I swear -"

"Ino-chan, calm down! " Hinata said in a hurry. "Right now we need to be focusing on what Naruto-kun needs to tell Yamanaka-san."

"Ugh, that's right. Just tell him Sai lives in a rented apartment, no specified address because we don't know since he doesn't live with a clan or any civilian family."

Naruto perked up a bit out of his slouch."Oh I get it, something that I used to do in the former future, right? "

"Yep. I mean, no! I didn't mean it like that Naruto! " Ino said hastily, just realizing what she had just said.

"Huh? Mean it like what Ino-chan? "

Ino twitched, resisting the urge to facepalm as the Leaf Legion fought to contain their laughter at their leader's obliviousness.

"N-Nothing Naruto-kun. . ."

'Some things never change,' Sasuke thought fondly, looking at the room where his brother was sitting in.

"We don't really know where Sai lives, probably in a rented apartment," Naruto smiled after the conversation was over. He honestly wished his friends would give him quicker answers. "And to sum things up, before Sai and after Shino was Hina-chan and Neji, then Kiba, then Ino, Shika and Choji. Then I met Tenten and Lee. Afterwards, as you probably know, Sasuke, Saki and I went out to fetch our old friends who now go by "Team Hajimari"."

"Believe me, we ALL remember," Inoichi deadpanned as Naruto rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "So who are those three from Team Hajimari anyway?"

"Karin Uzumaki, Suigetsu Hōzuki and Jūgo."

"Any surname on the last one?"

"Nope. Well, not one to mine or anyone's knowledge anyway."

"I see. Where did he come from?"

"That is a very good question. He lived in caves because of his clan's bloodline technique, which if you must know, is the unpredictable and deadly rages that can take over his body at any given time. And before you freak out, let me tell you I have placed a seal on him so that if he is about to transform the seal will prevent that, and it has been tested and proven successful so no need to worry."

Inoichi breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't really feel like taking care of a raging kid right then. "I can see the Uzumaki girl is pretty self-explanatory, but what about Suigetsu?"

"Oh, that old boy? He's one of Sasuke's old friends, and he was formerly of the Hidden Mist Village as he trained to become one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. He has a unique ability to transform his body into water at will which is both amazing and creepy at the same time. He came back with us when his younger brother got into the Swordsmen instead."

"Oh. So he is proficient in kenjutsu?"

"I would say so."

"I'll have him tested later. Are you sure the Mizukage won't come looking for him?"

"He and his brother lived on the outskirts of the Mist, not really associating with anybody and just training with one goal in mind, so I think it's safe to say the Mizukage won't be storming in here anytime soon," Naruto said airily.

Inoichi sweatdropped at the sudden lazy aura. 'I wonder if Fugaku-san picked up his nonchalantness from Naruto. . .'

"Hmm, alright now about the Chuunin Exams."

'Aw, Farquaad,' Naruto whined. "So what questions do you have?"

"Did you know about the Invasion?"

"No. . ."

"You sound fairly unsure about that. Are you certain that is your answer?"

"Well in the beginning we didn't -"

"We?"

"Ke, Saki and I. We didn't know, but we had a very bad feeling about the Chuunin Exams in general and so did the rest of the Leaf Legion. I made friends with a Sand ninja named Gaara, the youngest son of the Fourth Kazekage. When Saki looked out the window in the Hokage's Office, she saw a large amount of ninja. She called us over, and I was extremely certain that it was the invasion beginning," Naruto explained.

"Ah, and about Danzo?"

"That old, shady, mummified, oh-so-crippled dirtbag?"

Inoichi nodded at as he sweatdropped at the rather accurate but unnecessary description.

"Well, Ke's been suspicious of him for a while, you know, because there have been a few Sharingan eyes missing and Danzo was covering up an awful lot of his body, and on one side only. And well. . ."

Naruto trailed off and quickly thought, "Sai, should I tell him you were about to be recruited into ROOT? "

There was a moment of silence before Sai spoke. "I believe they will interrogate me and dig deep but I can handle it. You are talking about Danzo, correct? Well it would be easier to explain if you had an inside source, such as a ROOT member like myself."

"Are you sure? "

"I am certain. If it helps you and us keep our cover, my background may be exposed."

"Thank you, Sai. I will relay your "background story" to you later."

Naruto sighed slightly. "We got information on Danzo. . . through an inside source."

Inoichi looked intrigued. "Inside source?"

"Yes. When I told you about Sai, I-I didn't tell you the whole truth. Sai is an orphan, yes, and Ino did find him first. But he was recruited into ROOT -"

"A month or two."

"- a month or two before we met him. Then Sai continued to be in Danzo's service for -"

"A year."

"- a year and spied for us because of Ke's suspicions. We didn't tell the Hokage because we didn't want to bring any more trouble on her since she's so busy all the time."

"Did Sai confirm Sasuke's suspicions?"

"Oh yes, and mine as well."

"Yours?"

"I was slightly suspicious that Danzo might've been in league with Orochimaru."

"Orochi - okay you know what this is getting too crazy," Inoichi sighed in defeat as he checked the clock. "And we're five minutes over. I'll have to finish this another time, Naruto."

"Okay," the blonde nodded as he stood up.

"Thank you for your time, Naruto. If you could please send in Sasuke."

Naruto nodded again as he left the room.

Inoichi sighed as he rubbed his temples. Just how crazy did these kids' lives get? He hoped his daughter's wasn't as wild as Naruto's. . . but to get mixed up with a ROOT member? He wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing. The good news was they had evidence on Danzo, and the bad thing was that they either unknowingly or knowingly put themselves in danger.

The door opened slightly and closed, shuffling feet and the creaking of the chair being drawn backwards.

"Ah, Sasuke. Are you ready to begin?"

"Yes."

"Alright, we're starting. Name?"

"Sasuke Uchiha."

"Good. Date of birth?"

"23rd of July."

"Age?"

"Six."

"And your family members? As in, not including non-direct members," Inoichi added quickly at the six-year-old's skeptical look that was scarily similar to his adoptive brother's.

"Fugaku Uchiha, father. Mikoto Uchiha, mother. Itachi Uchiha, older brother. Naruto Uzuchiha, adoptive younger brother."

"Very good. Now, how did you meet the Leaf Legion?"

Sasuke smirked internally as Naruto told him what to say through the telepathic link.

"Well, as you know, Naruto is a member of the Leaf Legion and my brother so I don't really need to explain that. The "first" member we both met we Sakura Haruno, and that was when we were training in a training ground. . ."
