Hi Everyone!

I wanted to preface this book, by letting any new readers know this is not a stand alone read. Book 1: For The Empire- Il Inganno must be read first. (It can be found in my profile)

Le Consequenze, is a sequel and picks up right after the Epilogue of the first book. It will not make a lot of sense on what is going on without reading the first one.

The first book, lays out the foundation of most of our characters, so it's important to see where they all started with their lives, friendships and relationships with each other.

With that said, some of them will experience intense scenarios with life altering consequences in this second book. I don't condone violence, assault or drug abuse. The book will touch on different dark themes that might be triggers for some. Subjects including, violence, murder, assault, drug and substance abuse, dark thoughts of self loathing, depression and suicide.

I wanted to give the characters realism in the sense of their emotions; what leads them to do what they do, their thought processes, etc. They are not perfect and just like all of us they are flawed. Everyone deals with pain and trauma differently. Pain changes us. Some of us are able move on quickly with a good support system, therapy, exercise, some people rely on faith, etc. Some of us despite having all of that, just can't move on as much as we want to. While some of us feel as we don't have anything or anyone to turn to, for help. We turn to self destructive behaviors. Some of the characters will do dark, questionable, things. The book is rated mature for all of these reasons. Please keep that in mind as you read.

I also wanted to include a playlist of songs that will be shared in the specific chapters upfront. I listened to these songs as I wrote the first few chapters, to get my mind in the right head space.

I will probably go back and do the same thing for the first book. I had a few readers tell me they couldn't see the image (if I included a quote or picture) or song at the beginning of the chapter if they read from the app on their phone versus a computer.
