Diamond's POV

4 Months later

"Diamond do you have all your things ready?"

"Yeah mom, everything is in the trunk"

Today is the day Sam, Noah, and I move to our apartment condo in New York. My mom and dad are pretty emotional right now while Ruby hasn't said a word. She hasn't talked in days. She's been crying all night for the past two weeks. I think the reality of us leaving for college didn't set in until a couple of weeks ago.

I had to sleep with her for those weeks so she wouldn't cry. In the day Ruby, Sam, Noah, Rose, Chris, and I would spend time together. We went to carnivals, shopping, go- kart racing, paintballing, and more. Everyday we went somewhere new.

Sam and Noah got full sport scholarships to NYU, all 4 years are already paid for. I also got into NYU with a full scholarship.

Rose and Chris both are going to Berkeley. They decided to go to stay in Cali rather then going out of state. They left about 3 hours ago. Chris cried like a baby. He even forgave me for making him eat a worm in fourth grade.

Even though my parents and grandparents hated it, I decided to bring Miracle with me. Sam's maid from when he was little will watch over Miracle while Sam and I are at school. Everything is pretty much taken care of.

Miracle was sadly already asleep in the back seat of my car so everyone had to lightly kiss her forehead or hug her softly.

We had just came from Sam's house where I said goodbye to his parents and Katherine. I'm going to miss them. I'm gonna miss his mom's cooking even more.

"I'm gonna miss my little girl"

"Guys I'll visit you whenever I can. I'm not leaving forever"

"I'm going to miss you guys very much" Ruby said as she began sobbing.

Noah, Sam, and I pulled her in a bone crushing hug. She's only been my sister for a few months and now I have to leave her. By the time she's in college we'll be on our last year.

"Diamond your flight leaves in about 1 hour"

"Ruby I will miss you so so much"

Noah said as he cried on Ruby's shoulder. He has been crying on her shoulder for about half an hour. He wouldn't let go of her, he was literally glued to her.

"Alright guys, it's time to go"

I nodded my head and pulled away. I said one last bye to everyone and got in the car with Sam. Tears were running down my face as I watched my family disappeared.

Mom, dad, Ruby, my grandparents. They all mean a lot to me. It hurts me saying bye to them. Even though I don't feel good about leaving them I had to move on to the next chapter of my life. I can't stay home forever, I have to leave the nest.

Sam grabbed my hand and squeezed it. He rubbed my knees as I tried to calm down. I know he's just trying to be strong.

Sam cried like a baby when it came to saying bye to his family. He was literally on his knees begging his mom to make him stay.

Once Katherine said bye she ran straight to Sam's room. Katherine of course was already taking measurements of his room so she can turn it into her dance studio.

She even fixed a little corner of his room for her and Brandon to have their play dates. I feel like she already had everything planned out.

"Sam do you think we're ready for New York?"

"The real question is, is New York ready for us"

"Noah, how do you feel buddy?"

I asked as I looked back at Noah. He hasn't said a word since we started our journey to the airport.

"I feel like I lost a part of me. Every breathe I take hurts my heart"

I can't say I understand how Noah feels because I don't. I have Sam with me but, he doesn't have Ruby. I can't imagine how much he's hurting right now. I would've been sad too.

Noah was on his phone scrolling through pictures of him and Ruby with sad eyes in a slumped position. Every time he swiped new tears dropped from his eyes. It's heartbreaking to see Noah like this. He's usually the loud funny one.

"What did you tell Ruby when we were leaving that made her start crying hysterically?"

"No matter how long it takes I'll be on the other side waiting for her"

And he did, he waited for her.

In New York

We just arrived to our apartment after our long flight from California to New York. On the flight Noah was even worst. Since I had a whole bunch of music downloaded from Spotify on my phone I gave it to him so he can listen to music.

I looked away for about 3 seconds, then I heard Noah crying. I took my phone away from him only to see he was listening to Sad! by xxxtentacion. I took off his headphones and scowled at him.

"Noah you're sad. Why would you listen to sad music?"

"I don't know why. Whenever I'm sad I listen to sad music which makes me even more sad" Noah sobbed. I understand though. I do that on purpose sometimes. I just gave him back his headphones and let him weep.

Miracle was on my hip while Sam took the keys for our apartment condo while Noah went to get his. Noah was going to be our next door neighbor. We have an extra room in our apartment condo so we offered it to him. He said no thanks, he doesn't want to hear us having sex.

After the lady in the front desk handed them the keys we went up to our new home for the next 4 years. I was greeted with a beautiful apartment with modern furniture. The first thing I noticed was how the sun shined in our apartment.

I never imagined the apartment to look like this. Our apartment condo had three bedrooms and two bathrooms. With the extra room in the apartment we decided to turn it into a play room for Miracle. The best thing about this apartment is that it was ten minutes away from NYU.

After we put all our bags in our room we went next door to pay Noah a visit. Since it was only him he picked a two bedroom apartment with one bath. He wanted a one room apartment but then he realized that Ruby would be coming in a couple of years.

"ASSHOLE!!!"

Sam screamed when he walked through the door causing me slap him in the back of his head. Miracle has been starting to pick up on his bad language. Last week Miracle called my grandpa an ass wipe. When he asked her where she learned it from she said dada and pointed to Sam. My grandpa just glared at him and got back to watching the game. He almost pooped his pants.

"IN HERE"

Noah screamed from his room. We walked in his room but we were left speechless. All over his walls were pictures of him and Ruby. On his nightstand was offgaurds of her on her bed, his house, and sleeping. He even hung up one of her shirts.

"Noah this looks like a shrine"

Noah stuck the middle finger at him and got back to hanging up pictures of Ruby. Miracle squealed causing me to look at her. Surprise, surprise Miracle was sticking the middle finger. She always copies what those two idiots do.

"You guys have to stop cursing around Miracle. I will fuck both y'all up the next time y'all curse around her. Shit, so irresponsible"

"You just cursed two times in your little rant"

"Anyways, are you guys ready to embark on our next chapter in life"

"Together?" Noah asked

"Together"
