Sam's POV

"Come on Sam. Let's go"

Diamond said impatiently. Today was the day I get to meet her baby girl since winter break already started.

Yesterday when she first told me she had a child I didn't know how to react so I just left.

But after I heard her side of the story I understood why she didn't tell me. She didn't want anyone to know that part of her past.

I quickly put on my black and white vans and grabbed my keys. Once Diamond heard the jiggling that came from them she took my hand and pulled me down the stairs.

We said goodbye to momma and left on our journey to her grandma's house. To be honest with you I was scared.

What if her daughter doesn't like me?

What if I mess up and say the wrong thing?

Her daughter is two which means if she has something to say she won't hide it. Kids has the tendency to be brutally honest with you. Even if she's mumbling she talking shit about you.

I remember this one time a kid called me ugly when I was going grocery shopping for my mom.

I just went home, sat in my room and questioned my whole existence. They can be so mean sometimes.

While we were on our way to her grandma's house Diamond kept on bouncing her legs up and down.

She looked like she was about to bite her whole hand off the way she was viciously biting her fingernails.

I gently squeezed her thighs causing her to snap out of her dazed state. I could feel her eyes on me as I rubbed her thighs.

"Princess, I should be nervous. Not you"

She sighed and leaned back in her seat. She started rubbing her temples as she inhaled and exhaled.

After a while she started panting and moving back and forth. She looked like she was hyperventilating.

I quickly pulled over on the side of the road and pulled her on my lap. She straddled me as I stroked her hair.

"Baby, what's wrong?"

I asked as I lifted up her chin. She looked like she was about to cry. Right when she was about to talk tears came streaming down her face.

I wiped away her tears with the pad of my palms and kissed her forehead.

"What's wrong baby? Do you not want me to meet your daughter?"

She shook her head and let out a small laugh. She took a couple deep breathe and started talking.

"It's just that I'm nervous. What if my daughter doesn't like you? What if my grandparents doesn't like you? What if my grandpa kills you?.."

"Woah there. Calm down Diamond. And why would your grandpa kill me?"

She didn't say anything. She just played with her hands that was placed on her lap. Her legs were bouncing up and down rather anxiously.

"It's just that my grandpa told me that if I ever brought a guy to meet my daughter he'll make sure he's never heard from again."

I swallowed hard and ran my hand threw my hair. If her dad killed Jason what will his dad do to me?

If I don't make it home please tell my parents and katherine I love them. And if you have time tell that ass wipe you call Noah he owes me $50.

"Baby it's ok. He won't kill me in front of you and your daughter"

At least I hope so.

We stayed in that position until Diamond calmed down. I wiped her eyes agian and kissed her forehead.

She went back to her seat and grabbed my hand. I lifted her hand up to my mouth and laid a gentle kiss on it.

After a few minutes I pulled up to Diamond's grandparents house. I saw Diamond let out a long sigh as she unbuckled her seatbelt.

I leaned over to Diamond's side and placed a kiss on her forehead as a sign of reassurance.

She nodded her head and opened her door. She walked up to the house while I followed her.

I'm not gonna lie I'm a little bit scared.  I'm more scared about her daughter not liking me than anything else.

Diamond ringed the doorbell and waited patiently for either her grandma or grandpa to open the door.

After a few seconds the door swung open. I expected to see a short and old man in the door way but instead I saw a man that was about 6'5 with a ripped body and sleeves of tattoo covering up his right arm. His dreads were black and brown and reached his hips.

"Grandpa!!"

Diamond practically yelled as she threw her hands around the guy.

Is he a body builder or a grandpa? He looks like he's 35 years young.

I swallowed hard as I looked at the intimidating man. He looks like he could just lift up his feet and crush me.

They pulled away from the hug with smiles on their face. His eyes turned black as he saw me standing behind Diamond .

"Who's that thing?"

He asked as he furrowed his eyebrows. He eased me as he cracked his knuckles. He looks like he's about to eat me.

"This is Sam, my boyfriend"

I extended my hand to give him a hand shake. He smiled at me then grabbed my hand forcefully.

He tightened his hand around mine. I swear I heard my bones crack. His smile widened as he saw my face losing color.

"Grandpa enough"

He looked at Diamond then at me. He reluctantly let my hand go and smiled at Diamond.

"Anthony let the kids in"

A beautiful lady with red hair said. She looked like she's 21 years old.

Diamond engulfed the lady in a bone crushing hug.

What kind of black magic type shit is going on here?

Both of Diamond's 'grandparents' look like young and vibrant people. Shit I wish Diamond and I age that well.

"Is she here?"

Diamond asked. Her grandma nodded her head and lead us inside of the house.

Before we could even make it inside of the loving room I heard two little feet running in our direction.

"Mama"

A little girl said as she hugged Diamond's legs. I looked down at and I was shocked. She looks absolutely beautiful.

She had dark brown almost black eyes with her hair out in an afro. She had the cutest little nose and the chubbiest little arms and legs I've ever seen.

"Hi baby girl, how are you?"

Diamond asked as she showered her daughter with kisses. She started giggling and moving her head around.

"What's her name?"

I asked Diamond when she stopped kissing her. Diamond looked down at her daughter and smiled.

"Her name is Miracle"

"Hi Miracle" I said as I extended my arms and brought her in for a hug.

She scrunched up her face and started crying hysterically. My face dropped as I watched her turn red from all the crying she was doing.

Diamond took her back and started bouncing her up and down. She ran her hands through Diamnond hair and immediately stopped crying.

"I guess she doesn't do good with strangers. Now leave little boy"

Her grandpa said as he pushed me outside of the room. His wife screamed at him to stop bothering me and to let me back in the room.

Before I walked into the room he pulled me back and passed his index finger under his neck and mouthed 'imma kill you'.

My eyes widened and I quickly ran into the living room where there was witnesses.

Miracle was on Diamond's lap laughing as Diamond played peek-a-boo with her.

All I did was sit down next to Diamond and she started sobbing.

I guess my worst nightmare came true. She doesn't like me. She doesn't even want me to sit next to her.

My head hung low as I listened to everyone around me having a conversation. The fact that Miracle doesn't like me is hurting me more than I thought it would.

"Are you okay?"

Diamond asked me as she stroked my arm. I looked up at her and I noticed Miracle was gone.

She was now sitting on Anthony's lap, laughing and giggling with him.

That must be nice. I'm over her in my feeling because a 2 year old can't stand me.

"She doesn't like me"

"She'll get use to you baby"

Diamond said as she kissed my cheek.  She gave me a reassuring smile.

2 hours later

Diamond lied to me. Miracle only seemed to hate me even more.

Everytime I would try to kiss Diamond she would throw her sippy cup at my head.

I tried to lift her up but, she scratched the side of my face leaving a long red mark on my cheek.

But, no matter what I'm determined to make her like me. I won't stop until she doesn't cry everytime she looks at me.

Mark my words Miracle, you will like me.

Unknown POV

"Boss, we have new information on Diamond"

One of my men said. I turned my chair around and folded my hand on top of my desk.

I've been waiting on more Intel for hours now.

"Go on"

"It turns out that she has a two year old daughter named Miracle Hope Johnson."

"SHE HAS A CHILD AND IT'S NOW I'M HEARING ABOUT THIS!"

He didn't say anything. He just looked down at his hands that folded on his lap.

"You are dismissed"

He quickly got up and left my office. When he closed the door I looked at the file that he left on my desk and smiled.

I've been looking for Diamond's soft spot for month now. Now I finally found it.

It would be a shame if something were to happen to little Miracle.
