Sam's Pov

"I love you"

I whispered as I felt her slowly drift off to sleep. After a while I heard her faintly snoring.

I was too scared to admit it to her while she was awake so I waited for her to be asleep.

I just couldn't help it. She looked so cute while she sleeped on my lap. I ran my finger through her hair and occasionally caressed her face.

She is just perfect.

She has perfect long eyelashes, perfect cocoa skin, and a very defined face. She is just all around beautiful.

Who wouldn't like her?

That was my problem though. Every guy I came across finds her beautiful. Even Noah thinks she's beautiful. I just don't mind because he's into Ruby.

Every time I'm with her I have to glare or growl at the many guys that stare at her. They look at her like she's fresh meat and I hate it.

When we went to the ice cream shop I saw a table of guys staring at her. We didn't even take our seats yet and their attention was already on her.

The only reason they didn't approach her is because I was glaring at them the whole time. I felt like of it was just her and Ruby they would have definitely went up to her.

While she was sleeping I picked her up bridal style and walked up the stairs. I kicked her door open with my leg and slowly made my way to her bed.

I gently placed her on her bed and pulled her blanket under her chin. I kissed her forehead and cheeks and went downstairs.

I walked into the kitchen and sat down. Diamond's mom turned around  with a apple pie in her hand and sat it down on the counter.

"Can you help me peel the patetoes?" She asked as she turned back around and took some brownies out of the oven.

"Sure momma" I said as I grabbed a peeler and a patetoes. We were walking in silence until Diamond's mom started talking.

"So are you and Diamond a thing" she asked like a school girl. I wanted to tell her that I love Diamond but, I think I should tell Diamond first. If I ever grow some balls.

"We're just friends momma"

It almost killed me when the word friends came out my mouth. I wanted us to be more than just friends. I just don't have enough courage to ask her to be my girlfriend.

"Whatever you say. Just don't hurt my baby. I don't want to see her get heart broken again" she stated sadly

"Again?" I asked a bit confused.

Who would hurt such a beautiful and humble human being like Diamond?

Who dare broke her heart?

"Its not my place to get into full detail. Wait for Diamond to tell you".

I nodded my head understandably and continued to peel the patetoes.

I don't want to pressure Diamond into telling me about her past. I'll wait for her to tell me when she feels comfortable enough.

After a few hours of peeling patoates and making pies, dinner was finally ready.

I wiped the sweat from my forehead as I looked at all the options I have to eat.

I think I was drooling from the amount of food that was in front of me.

My mom never makes this much food before. She just makes some rice, chicken, and sometimes maccorini.

"Go wake up Diamond son"

"No problem momma"

I got up from my seat and walked up the stairs. I walked into Diamonds room and slowly went towards her bed.

I could have did the normal thing and shake her awake but, I'm not normal.

I kissed next to her lips. I trailed the kiss all the way to cheek which was slowly getting hotter and hotter.

I saw a smile spread across her face as I kissed her cheek. She's awake. I know she is. She just wants me to continue to kiss her.

I stopped kissing her as she started to smile. When I pulled away she frowned and opened her eyes.

"Dinner is ready my love"

Shit.

My love.

Why did I say that. Now she's going to know I love her. I could scare her away.

"Ok daddy"

She said as she got off her bed. She grabbed her crutches and I carefully lead her down the stairs.

We walked into the living room and I was still in shock. How could she react like this when I called her my love?

If I was Diamond I would have been freaking out right now.

"Are you coming Sam"

She asked as she sat down. I nodded my head and walked towards the empty seat that was next to her.

We all took a plate and loaded it up. If I added one more item my plate would have fell.

I was about to dig in but, Diamond slapped my hand. I looked at her and she shook her head no.

"We say grace before we eat"

Diamond said as she grabbed my hand. I'm not used to praying period. At my house we don't go to church on sundays.

Even thought I wasn't used to praying I mommy's hand and closed my eyes as Diamond prayed for the food.

2 hours later

"I can't move"

I said as I tried to get out of my seat. I fell back down with a thud. Diamond was in the same situation I'm in.

We were good when we finished eating. It's the desert that killed us.

The Apple pie with vanilla ice cream made us all full. Even though we couldnt eat anymore we still got seconds.

"Neither can I"

Diamond said as she tried to rebutton her pants. Just as she was about to make it out her seat she fell back down.

My phone ring out of nowhere which caused both Diamond and I to jump.

"Baby"

"Yes"

"Come home, I'm waiting for you"

"I'll be there, love you"

I said goodbye to Diamond and her mom and left her house. I kissed her goodbye before I left.

Today was a great day. I can't wait to do this again.
