Roshan POV:

The past two days have been the best so far. Feels like I have everything that anyone would wish to have except my mom. I don't know why I miss her a lot today. I wish I had her today with me, when I am the happiest with my life. I wish she was with me to know Ashni and we all being one happy life. Ahhh.. that's when I got a call from Mayuri.

"Hi Mayu. How have you been?" I asked.

"I am good bhai. Why do you sound so low. I thought I will hear your happy chatter like yesterday and day before yesterday." She asked. She knows everything about Ashni.

"I am missing ma." I said

"Bhai, I know you are very close to ma. And you can't be completely happy without her. But you need to accept the fact that she is not with us anymore. But wherever she is now, she won't be happy to know that you are sad because of her. She was the best mom and the most lovely person, and she should be remembered for that. And we should be happy to have had her with us. And Ashni being with you, please be happy." She said. She makes a lot of sense. She is right.

"You are right. I am sorry. I will be happy." I said.

"So you are going to meet Ashni today?" She said. Listening her name, I smiled.

"Yes, we all are going out on a team outing from hospital." I said.

"Great. Just have a good time with her and your friends. And I can't wait to meet her though." She said.

"Then come here soon." I said.

"These college projects are taking toll on me. I am trying to wrap up soon, and will come. By the way when is Ashni birthday." She asked.

"In a month is her parents anniversary and after two weeks from then is her birthday. In the anniversary party, she said she will introduce me to her parents." I said.

"That's nice, I am not sure if I can come by then. Mostly I will come for her birthday for sure. But permanently I will be back after 2 to 2.5 months." She said.

"Okay. Take care and be happy. I love you." I said.

"I love you too bhai." She said and call is disconnected.

I got up to get ready and have to pick up Ashni.

Once getting ready, I put on a watch that my mom gave me. I love that gift so much that it's the last gift from my mom to me. Whenever I wear it, I feel like I have her with me. I can feel her love.

I went to Ashni house and called her.

"Hello sweetheart. I am here. Come out." I said. Coming.....

In two minutes, she came out. And she absolutely looked stunning. Like so beautiful and hot. She got into the car.

"Hello, wow. I should prepare myself to punch so many guys who eye you today." I said.

"Well you have my permission. I am only yours." She said. I love that. I gave her a peck on the forehead.

"And you don't look bad yourself. But you do look sad a little." She said. She can read me too. Everyone around me can read me.

"Ya. I am missing my mom a lot today. That's why I wore the last gift she got me before she passed away." Saying this i showed her the watch.

"It's beautiful. She loves you so much. And no matter what, she is always with you and she keeps loving you. Don't forget that." She said holding my hands.

"Thanks." I said with a big smile. She smiled back at me.

We started to the restaurant where we all decided to meet and have lunch and celebrate Lilly.

We reached there in a while with a little chat on the way.

"Wow this place looks great. We should come here on a date later." She said.

"We can have it now. Let's ditch others." I said.

"Shut up. No. We are meeting everyone and having lunch with them." She said dragging me inside.

Everyone already reached before.

"What took you so long love birds." Icha said.

"Guys. Today is about Lilly and her fiance." Ashni said.

"Thanks Ashni." Lilly said. She introduced her fiance to all. And we started to ask her about how they met etc. And then went into all love stories etc.

We were having a lot of fun actually. The day is turning out pretty good.

"Ashni, there are games here. Let's go." Icha called out and they went to play. All the girls.

"Everything is going pretty great so far. This outing is necessary." Priyam said.

"That's true. Its going great. And never had such a good break from so long." I said.

"Well shut up. You are having a great break everyday. " Priyam said. And with that everyone laughed. That's true. I am having a good time with her. I looked at her, she was playing ping pong, and she is jumping like a little girl when she scores. Wow. She is so cute. Why is she so cute? Ahhh. I can't control myself. I just want to pull her into tight hug and give her a kiss and show everyone around us that this beautiful lady is mine forever. I just love. Even her small acts are making me to crazy. I just kept looking at her with a big smile.

"Hello mister. Stop day dreaming. And don't forget the fact we are also here with you. Especially her bestfriend." Priyam said. That's when I noticed that Anrag giving me a stern look.

"Just that you know I will never hurt her. Trust me. I love her so much. And I will cherish her everyday." I said.

"Please don't ever hurt her. She is very precious to all of us." Anrag said. I nodded at him with a smile.

When I turned back to her, I saw that now they went for bowling. She is loving all the games. But then I observed that guys were looking at her with lust which I didn't like at all. I tried to control my anger, but next moment is hyped my anger more because now they started to click pics of her very lower angles. What the heck!!!!

I walked straight to her and took her hand and got her out of there.

"What??? What are you doing? What happened?" She screamed for my sudden action.

"Just quietly sit down." I said in a stern voice. She got startled but sat down without saying anything. Everyone was actually quite surprised by my actions.

Now she looked sad. Ah. What have I done?

"Ashni, those bastards were looking at you vulgarly. I didn't like it. That's why. But sorry that I snapped at you." I said holding my ears.

"It's okay. I didn't know that. You could have told me, I would have come back myself." She said.

"I know that's why I am saying sorry na." I said. She smiled. 😊

We continued to chat for a while more. And then we decided to leave. While we were at the parking lot, those idiots were there too. I just felt punching them.

"Hello Miss, you are damn sexy. Can we have your number?" One of them said.

"What the hell? Behave yourself. Don't bother me." Ashni said.

"Don't worry, we will not bother you. We will bother you only at night if you give us your number." They replied and laughed out loud.

That's it. I can't take it anymore. I went to them and punched him hard in the face. And I started to hit others too. Even Anrag joined me. But Priyam, Lilly fiance and the girls were trying to stop us. The security came and took the boys away from us. I was so furious.

"Roshan calm down man." Priyam said.

"Roshan, we will find these kind of people anywhere we go. We can't fight all of them right. Let it go." Ashni said.

"That happens because of the kind of dresses you wear. Look at you, this is what provoked them." I said in anger.

"So you are blaming me for what they have done. How stupid Roshan. Don't take out their anger on me. I am free bird and I can wear whatever I want." She said back with full of anger.

"Ya. Do whatever you want. Because of you I destroyed the watch that my mom got me." I said showing the broken watch which was on the ground now.

"Roshan, how can you say that. I didn't do anything on purpose. I didn't them to tease me or you to fight them. You can't blame me for what happened." She said now almost in tears.

"You know what, do whatever you want. I don't care. Get lost." I said this and left from there in full anger.

Ashni POV:

Roshan had a fight with them and he is the one got upset. But he is now blaming for everything. I am also sad that the watch is broke. But I didn't do it right. He is holding me responsible for something that I didn't do. And he commented about my dress as if I am a slut. I was so upset and started to cry once he left.

"Ashni, please don't cry. He is just mad right now and may be he didn't mean what he said." Ahana said.

"She is right. Ashni, Roshan is very protective of the people he loves. That's why he burst out like that today." Priyam said.

"But he can't blame her or her dressing for what happened." Icha said and Anrag agreed.

"Guys, let's not argue now. I will talk to him. Anrag, you take Ashni home now." Priyam said.

I went and picked up the broken watch and left from there with Anrag.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Nope. I am not okay. Don't say anything to our parents." I said. Because they will be upset and worried for no reason.

"As you say. But let me know if you want me to punch him." He said. I nodded at him with a smile. No matter what happens in my life, I will have Anrag by my side at any cost supporting and protecting me. I know that.

As we reached home, I saw everyone, mom, dad, aunty, uncle, dadaji, Nana, nani etc. Looking at them I smiled.

I went hugged everyone. We try to meet every weekend and have family time.

"Ashni, what happened? Why do you so dull?" Uncle (Anrag's dad) asked me.

"Nothing uncle. I accidentally broke one of my colleagues watch. So." I said showing the watch.

"What is the big deal. Buy them a new one." Aunty said.

"No, it's actually the last gift from his mom who is no more. So it's not replaceable." I said. Now they are convinced on why I am upset.

"It's okay. We will repair it well. I will help you." Uncle said.

We do these things all the time. From childhood, uncle used to spend time with me helping me with toy repairs, crafting etc.

So we both started to work on the watch, uncle has good knowledge about these things. And did chit chat and had food with all.

After dinner, everyone left. I went back to my room and checked my phone. There were no calls or messages from him. What a jerk. He scolded me for no reason. I will also not talk to him. I will go to hospital tomorrow and give the watch to him. That's it. Let's see what he does.

I went to sleep without messaging or calling him.

Priyam POV:

I went straight to Roshan's house. What is wrong with him. I know he got upset. But he can't take it out on Ashni.

"Hello uncle, where is this idiot?" I asked as I went inside.

"In his room. He seems to be very upset. What happened?" He asked.

"Nothing uncle. Don't worry. I will talk to him." I said.

"May be he remembered his mom. It always happens this way." He said. I nodded at him and went to Roshan's room.

"What's the matter with you today?" I said once closing the door.

"What? I got mad." He replied.

"So. You can't take it out on Ashni, for something she didn't do." I said. He didn't reply.

"You know she cried a lot after you left from there. How can you insult her about her dressing. Bastards like them will tease girls even if they are wearing a burkha. How can you blame her for that." I said.

"You are right. I snapped. For that and that my watch broke. Ahh. I am such a idiot." He said.

"Yes you are. Apologize to her and make it up for what you did today." I said.

"I will definitely do that. Sorry for my behaviour. I ruined everyone's mood." He said.

"It's okay. Just try and control you anger." I said. He nodded at me. After making sure he understood what he did today was not right. I left from there.

This idiot ruined his date and my possible plans for my date. I wanted to talk Ahana out for dinner after that. But I couldn't. She said that it's important that I talk to this idiot first.

Roshan POV:

What the heck did I do? I don't know what got into me that I behaved that way to her. And made those comments. I regret my actions. I immediately took my phone to call her. But then my actions just can't be justified over a call and messages. I decided to talk to her and make it up tomorrow in person. And now I am restless for tomorrow. I love you Ashni, and I am really sorry.

After a awful and no peace night, I went to hospital early than usual. While I was on my way to my cabin, I saw Dr. Lilly.

"Dr. Lilly I am really sorry for ruining your outing yesterday." I said.

"It's okay. But you should actually apologize to Ashni." She said.

"I know, I will. Can you let me know when she comes." I said and she nodded and with that I left to my cabin. I sat in my cabin and waited for her to come.

"Hello man." Priyam came.

"Hi. " I said.

"Ohh still messed up." He said.

"I didn't talk to her yesterday. Because I wanted to apologize in person to her." I said.

"Good. But I don't think she is here yet. Why don't you work and divert a little." He said. I agreed with him and started to work. It helped me to calm down a little.

Then I noticed that Ashni was there standing infront of me. I got up immediately went to her. But she took a step back from me. That broke my heart.

"Ashni please listen to me." I said.

"Sir, here is your watch. It's good as new." She said and tried to leave.

"Ashni please give me a chance and listen to me. Please." I said almost with tears. I can't loose her. She looked at me with concern and came back. I took her and made her sit on the sofa.

"I know I behaved really awful and said a lot of things that I shouldn't have said. I really love you and you are a free bird to wear and do whatever you want. I shouldn't have blamed for what those bastards did and for the watch too. I am really sorry. I was just upset how they behaved with you and then I saw the watch and lost myself. I love my mom so much, and seeing the watch broke, I lost it completely. I am really sorry. Really really sorry. Trust me, I will never snap at you like that, I will never shout at you. I thought my mom is the most important person to me. But now you are also very important to me. Please forgive me." I said and cried holding her hand.

"Roshan, listen. I understand your concerns. But you should understand that there will be like that everywhere you go. Even if you are really traditional. And I also understand your relationship and love for your mom. But you can't take out your anger on anyone like that. And I don't want to take your mom's place. And no one should. I want to be a part of your life. I love you. But promise me that you will not hurt me ever again." She said. I kissed her forehead as a promise. She smiled at me and wiped my tears.

With that we made up. We hugged and were having good time, when someone rushed in.

"OMG. It's true. You guys do romance here." Icha said. With Ashni ran out and glared at Icha.

"I am not gonna be scared of that look." She said.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Check the files and next step in treatment." She said. I went back to work.

That day I took Ashni out for dinner and spent some quality with her. I am thankful to God for bringing her into my life.

This is going great I loved my every day with her. We would spend as much as time possible. We would go out on a lot of dates, dinners and long drives on weekends, and have lunch with all on weekends.

Few weeks pass by.

I can't believe that it has been a month that Ashni is with me. I loved her and she loved me the most. Life is going on perfectly. Today is Ashni's parents anniversary. I am getting ready for the party at her place. I want to look handsome, because today she will introduce me to her parents. I want to make the best impression on them.

That's when I received the call from Mayuri.

"Hello Mayu." I said.

"Wow, are you ready to meet them and be introduced as her boyfriend?" She asked.

"I think so. I am little concerned. I will send you my pic. Tell me how I look." I said and immediately I sent her my pic.

"OMG. Bhai, you wore a bow tie? Come on please loose it." She said.

"What is wrong with it?" I asked.

"Put on some normal tie." She said.

"You know I can't make a tie. Usually Priyam helps with it, but today he is so eager to pick up his girl." I said.

"You can't make normal tie but can make bow tie. Wow." She said sarcastically.

"Funny. " I said.

"Ask dad." She said.

"Mayu." I said little sternly.

"Please bhai. Just get it done. You want to impress her parents. Don't let them think that you are so old to her as well." She said.

"Okay fine." I said and said bye. I took out the bow tie and took the normal tie and took it down with me. My dad was sitting there having coffee.

"Can you help me with the tie.?" I said without calling him dad. I still can't forgive him that easily.

He smiled brightly and came forward. He helped me with the tie and kept smiling at me.

"You look handsome." He said. I gave him a dry smile and left to Ashni's house.

Soon I reached. I can say that they have a lot of relatives and friends. There were a lot of people. I saw Anrag inviting all.

"Hello sir. Welcome." He said when he saw me.

"Hello Anrag. Why are you being so formal. " I said smiling and went inside.

Once I went inside, I saw few familiar faces. So I went to them and started to talk. But fairly I was waiting to see Ashni. I can't find her.

"She is getting ready." Ahana said from behind, I turned away with little embarrassment.

While I was talking to Priyam, I heard claps. I saw Ashni walking with her parents. I saw them. It was THEM. What the hell? She is THEIR daughter. What the heck. No no. This can't be true.

Once Ashni saw me, she came running to me.

"You look handsome." She said.

"You too." I said still looking at her parents.

"What?" She said.

"I mean beautiful." I said.

"Sorry but your parents Dr. Ashutosh and Dr. Nidhi.?" I asked her. She nodded.

"You know them.?" She asked me. I didn't know what to tell her. So lied.

"Yes, ofcourse, they are famous, everyone know them." I said. She smiled proudly.

"Let's go. I want to introduce you to them." She said holding my hand. But I stopped her.

"Ashni, let's wait till your birthday." I said.

"Why? What happened?" She asked.

"Nothing just that, they were idols. And I am little concerned. And also it's their day. Let them enjoy. We can tell them on your birthday, and it's just two weeks away." I said. She seemed to think for a while.

"Are you sure?" She asked. I gave her a big nod with a smile. She smiled at me.

"Okay." She said and someone called her. She went away. I looked at back them still in shock. I never thought that I would meet them.

Why now? Why them?
