Joanna swallowed, scrolling back through the dms that a "fan" sent in. They were hateful, and Jo didn't understand what she did to deserve the hate.

She was decent at music, piano being her specialty and singing was just for fun and to honor her savior. Joel and Luke were her best friends, along with the other bandmates. She loved the fans, touring and spreading the love.

Joanna's head snapped to her left as the curtain was opened. She quickly glared at Joel who stood there with a smug grin on his face.

"What, Joel?" Joanna asked, locking her phone.

"We're at Taco Bell for food. You hungry?" Joel questioned, laying his head on the edge of the bunk.

"Nah," Jo shook her head, "I'm good, but thanks."

"What's really up?" Joel raised an eyebrow, sensing something off about his friend.

"It's nothing. I'm just tired," she came up with excuses, not wanting to worry him and the rest of their friends.

Joel sighed, but nodded. "Fine, but I'm buying a couple extra tacos just in case you do get hungry."

"Fine. Whatever," Jo muttered, watching as Joel stepped down and shut the curtain. Carefully, she listened for his footsteps as they got quieter.

Quickly, Joanna picked up her phone, unlocking it and reopening her twitter. Soon enough, she saw posts from the few fans she did follow. Some were really encouraging, others were mean and had "#kickjoannaout". Joanna couldn't deny it, it hurt.

Joel stepped off the bus, the rest of the guys and the ole bloke were waiting for him. Suddenly, Mark looked up.

"Is she not coming?" Mark asked.

Joel shook his head sadly, "No. I don't think she's feeling to well."

"Will she be able to preform? I love her positivity." Ben asked, while also grinning.

Luke shrugged, "We'll just have to ask her, then. Maybe it's a just a bug from a fan at a meet and greet, or something."

Ben whined, "Can we go now? I'm hungry."

Joel nodded hesitantly, as the group started for the entrance. He looked back to the bus for a brief moment, then slowly followed his friends. They were quiet, except when they each ordered their own meal.

Once they all had their food, they sat down at three different tables, since it was a large group. Joel remained quiet, but offered to lead grace.

Luke looked over at his older brother with worry in his eyes; he had never seen his brother this worried, except when Luke was sick. That's when Luke decided, something must really be going on with Joanna.

~*~*~

Joanna sat with Joel and Luke as they did a small Q&A with fans. They mainly asked Joel questions, with the occasional question for Luke.

Her head snapped up, hearing her name from a young fan, a man at her side. She smiled brightly, putting her full attention on the child who couldn't have been more than nine.

"Joanna, how did you become a member of the band?" The young girl asked.

Joanna grinned, "Well, that's a complicated story. But, I had met Joel and Luke during a meet and greet at one of their Tennessee concerts. There, I had told them that they led me Jesus, and inspired me to do music. Months after, I had befriended them, and Moriah as well, they asked for some demos. About a week later after sending my fourth demo, they offered the position." She explained happily.

Luke laughed, his Australian accent coming out thick for a moment. "Nah, she's our secret little sister."

Joanna rolled her eyes, gently pushing on Luke's shoulder as the small crowd laughed.

"Don't listen to him. I was born in Tennessee y'all." Joanna stated, smiling at the fans.

Joel sighed as he stood up, seeing the cue from the stage crew. "Well, mates. Looks like we have to head out. Show's oughta be starting soon."

Joanna and Luke both began waving at the crowd, they quickly returned it and threw in some smiles and grins. Joanna smiled slightly, feeling reassured about her spot in the band. However, the messages still ran through her mind.

~*~*~

Joanna was sat on the couch, with both Benjamin and Timmy. She was scrolling through her phone, seeing even more hateful tweets about "#kickjoannaout".

The worst part, it was now spreading to facebook and Instagram. Joanna felt trapped, and even more insecure.

"Hey, Jo. You able to preform tonight?" Luke asked, watching as Joanna slowly picked up her head.

She simply shrugged, "Yeah."

"Are you sure that you're okay, Jo?" Ben asked, raising an eyebrow.

Joanna slowly nodded, locking her phone once more. "Y-Yeah, I'm just fine. I just saw something depressing on Twitter. I promise, I'll be fine." She lied.

"Okay," Luke muttered, dragging out his reply. "If you say so."

Joanna rolled her eyes as Luke went back to what he was doing. She quickly leaned forward, tightening the laces on her converse then made sure to plug in her phone. She looked to all the guys as she slid on her for King & Country varsity jacket.

"You guys ready?" Joanna asked, crossing her arms.

Joel nearly scoffed, "How are you ready?"

Benjamin laughed, "It takes my wife nearly thirty minutes just to get dressed."

Joanna shrugged, "Doesn't take me long. We have to be on in like ten minutes."

"Dallas is a lucky guy then," Mark muttered, causing Joanna to snort.

She smirked, "He's lucky because he has me," she joked.

Joel rolled his eyes, "Let's just go out there and make history like we always do."
