Chapter 9

(Demi's pov)
Darryl has been the best husband I've ever had  he has been treating me like a queen and  I haven't felt like a queen in years and I never thought it would be possible for me to feel that way again.  I love that man so much and I'm so lucky to have him as husband and he's  the most wonderful man that I'm greatful to spend the rest of my life with and I'm not going to regret it.

"Good morning handsome." I said with a smile.

Before Darryl could speak he started to kiss me very passionately.

"Good morning to you too, beautiful." Darryl replied as he let go of my lips.

"So what's your plans for tonight ?" I asked as I started putting my hands through his hair.

"I have no idea right now but damn you're so gorgeous." Darryl answered as he started to kiss my neck very slowly.

"Well, you get handsome every day." I said with a smile.

"Oh come on you get more beautiful, sexier and gorgeous every minute of every day." Darryl replied with  a smirk.

After he smirked at me I  started to kiss each him very passionately and I never wanted to let go of him.

"How did I get so lucky to have a wonderful marriage  with the most handsomest man  I've ever fell in love with?" I asked as I accidentally broke the kiss.

"Maybe, you were just waiting for the right man to come along and swept you  away from the pain and misery you were growing through and made you feel loved again." Darryl answered  without breaking eye contact with me.

"I love you so much and  I'm  so happy I married you but not only have the wonderful  marriage  but we have two little girls who are so happy that you're their dad." I said with a smile  while looking into his beautiful  eyes.

"Since you bought up our little girls into the conversation we are going back home tomorrow and see their little faces again." Darryl replied as he started  putting his hand in my hair.

"This wedding anniversary weekend is the best." I said.

"We could of have all this last weekend if work didnt get in the damn way." Darryl sighed.

"Baby, it's okay at least we are together now enjoying each other's company  and going on amazing  dates then we made love to each other  and you made me breakfast in bed which was so delicious  and last night we went out dancing at the event last night and we had a good time but sadly all good things have to end." I said as I started to put my hand on his face  and gave him a gentle smile.

"I know we don't usually take pictures on little vacations like these without the kids but I want remember this amazing weekend forever." Darryl said as he grabbed his phone off the table and opened the camera.

"I'll never forget it." I replied as I adjusted myself on the bed.

"Are you ready ?" Darryl asked with a smile.

"Yes I am." I answered as I leaned against his shoulder as he used his right hand to control his phone.

After Darryl got the perfect angle then he took the picture.

"I love it." I said with a smile while looking at the picture.

"Me too." Darryl replied as he looking at the picture.

"When we look back at this picture a few years into the future it will reminded us how happy and in love we were back then." I explained as I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"No matter how old this picture will be in the future we will always  be in love with each other." Darryl said as he put his phone back on the table.

"That's true." I replied.

After I said that we just looked at each other then we kissed very passionately and we never wanted to let go of each other.

"I love you so much Demi, when I think of you at work or wherever I am it just drives me crazy  and the thoughts in my head are like "How did I get so lucky to have  this beautiful woman  in my life?"  And  "I'm so greatful to love her for the rest of my life."  Darryl explained as he broke the kiss.

"I'm always going to love you, no matter how many times you can drive me crazy, we fight over the most stupidest things ,  I hit you on the shoulder when you say something inappropriate  around the kids about me, but other than that you're still the best husband and wonderful man I've ever wanted to  spend the rest of my life with." I said as I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"You drive me up the wall sometimes but I will still love you no matter what." Darryl replied a he kissed my cheek back.

"So what are we planning on doing for our last day on this wonderful weekend ?" I asked while changing the subject.

"We should go out for  a walk." Darryl answered.

"Neither of us are wearing in clothes because we were to lazy to put pjs on because of the event we went to." I said.

"I know." Darryl replied as he got out of bed and quickly put on a pair of boxers.

"Have you seen my bra anywhere?" I asked  as I got off the bed and started looking around the bed area.

"Nope." Darryl answered as he saw a red piece of clothing on the floor.

"Found it." I said as I grabbed the piece of clothing off the floor.

"Wow, you actually found it and I didn't have to  tease you when I found it before you did."  Darryl  chuckled as he put his pants on.

"Yeah, yeah  chuckle all you want I'll remember next time you want your shirt back." I said as I started putting on some clothes.

After I said that Darryl didn't say anything.

While Darryl was changing  I combed my hair and put my hair up in a ponytail.

"Are you ready to go?" Darryl asked as he started to put his hoodie on.

"Yes I am." I replied as we started to head outside.

As we were about to head outside Darryl locked the hotel room then we started going outside.

■•□•■♤¤¤OUTSIDE OF THE HOTEL □•°●•■•□⊙
When we got outside Darryl started holding my hand as we walked to a park that was about two or three blocks away from the hotel.

"It's  such a beautiful day today." I said with a smile.

"Hopefully nothing ruins it." Darryl replied.

"Me too." I said as we got a little  closer to the park.

The park wasn't as crowded like it  usually would be on a typical Sunday afternoon  because it's a family park for picnics and it also has a walking track for anyone who likes to walk or jog.

●°○□■■□°○IN THE PARK ●°\|⊙|●○\□<⊙\□•<°\°□°\°
As we walked inside Darryl opened the fence gate  so we could walk in.

"This park is huge." Darryl said with amazement as he let go of my hand.

"It is really big and I remember when I was a little girl before my dad died of cancer when I was six years old   my mom and dad would take us to this park and  we would have a family picnic every Sunday afternoon  if the weather wasn't miserable and I had a lot of good memories back then." I explained with a soft smile while trying not to cry.

"Well, we can bring back that tradition back with our own kids  and when the girls grow up and  have families of their own they could look back and do the same thing." Darryl said with a soft smile.

"You would do that for me ?" I asked with a confused look on my face.

"Of course I will,  besides we should do something with  our kids on beautiful days like this." Darryl answered as we stopped walking for a second.

"Since I have a few more weeks off because my manager  is still on a vacation we could start the following Sunday coming and hopefully the weather isn't terrible. " I smiled.

"That's a great idea Dems, we could bring some bubble sets and the girls could blow some bubbles while we get the picnic table  ready." Darryl replied.

"I love that idea." I said as we continued to walk again.

Darryl just smiled at me as we kept walking around the track.

"When you were  younger; did your parents take you and your siblings anywhere like going to picnics ?" I asked.

"Yes we did go places but it was only in the summertime because both of my parents worked  a lot and my dad travelled a lot because he use to be a cop for twenty years until he retired when James was born and my mom on the other hand use  to  work as nurse until she couldn't do anymore when she had kids then when I went to college my mom got back into being a nurse and In a few years she's retiring." Darryl explained with a serious tone in his voice.

"But when we did go places as a family it would be camping or going to amusement park or go to Disneyland but it was very rarely that my siblings and I went to Disneyland." Darryl added.

"So looks like you followed in your daddy's footsteps when you went  to college." I said smiling.

"To be honest with you  My dad is the reason why I wanted to be a cop because when my dad use to be a cop he wanted to make the world a better place  by getting rid criminals and locking them away for good and he also wanted to keep his family safe too then when I went to college I followed what he did and  I haven't stopped." Darryl explained as we walked over to a near by park bench.

"That's great you have your dad as a role model." I said.

"What inspired you to become a singer?" Darryl asked with a curious tone in his voice.

"My mom inspired me to be a singer because if you didn't know this before I was a pageant girl when I was a little girl  and my mom entered in every pageant  that was at my age group and  some of the competitions  was singing and playing instruments  but when it  was my turn to sing in the competition I always did my best and I really liked singing  and maybe someday when I grew up I would do it for a living and now here I am I have a Grammy win under my belt and millions of fans around the world cheering me on and it wasn't for my mom entering me in those beauty parents as a kid I probably wouldn't have this life I'm living." I explained with a serious tone in my voice.

"I didn't know you were a pageant girl." Darryl said with a suprised tone in his voice.

"I liked it when I was little girl but it got so competitive and I would have anxiety  about  going on stage just like answering a question from the judge or even singing because I would have this thought in my head saying "I'm not good enough or I'm not pretty enough to win a pageant crown." Then years later  that thought in my head really screwed me up when I stopped going to pageants but after that I still had that feeling as a teenager."  I explained trying not to cry.

"Before you ask any questions about my teenage years I don't really want to go deep into it because I don't want to fall into that dark hole again;cause it took me years to get out of it." I added.

"I understand your decision but if you do ever feel that way; I'm always going to be here for you." Darryl said as he started holding my hand.

"Thank you for understanding." I replied as a smile grew on my face.

"No problem."  Darryl said as we got off the park bench.

After we got off the bench we decided to   walk back over the hotel.

About a few minutes past we got back inside the hotel and went straight to our room.

°●°□•□¤•BACK IN THE HOTEL ROOM □°○⊙□°□•■¤
When we got inside  I walked over to the fridge and grabbed a water bottle then I started to drink it.

"That was a great walk." Darryl said as he opened the fridge and grabbed a water bottle.

"It was." I replied as I stopped drinking.

"Maybe sometime we should take the kids out for a walk when it's nice out." Darryl suggested as he started to drink some water.

"That would be a good idea." I smiled.

"I can't believe  that  tomorrow  morning we are leaving this hotel." Darryl sighed as he put his water bottle on the table.

"It's crazy how fast time goes when you're  having fun  with the love of your life on this wonderful weekend together." I explained with a smile.

"There's something I want to do since it's our last day here." Darryl said.

"What is it ?" I asked with a confused look on my face.

"We should go have a night swim since we never used the pool on the deck yet since we checked into this hotel."  Darryl answered.

"How is it everytime you come up with a idea  for us to do: I'm unprepared." I  asked with a sigh.

"Babe, just wear something you feel comfortable in  for the swim because we have lots of privacy and besides no one can look in because there's a bunch of glass fences around each outdoor deck area in this hotel." Darryl explained with a smile.

"I'm not really in the mood for swimming it's just I rather do something else but your more than welcome to swim by yourself," I said while trying not to ruin our last day here.

"Dems, It's okay that you don't want to swim but if you want you can watch me." Darryl suggested as he wrapped his arm around me.

"I'll watch you for a little while." I said as we started walking out on the outdoor deck.

As we walked in Darryl took his shirt and his pants off then he jumped in the water.

"I really wish that you could be in the pool with me it's  lonely without you ." Darryl replied as he started to tease me.

"You'll survive." I  laughed.

"You'll survive." Darryl mocked back at me.

"Quit mocking me you." I said as I stuck my tongue out at him.

After I did that he started splashing water at me. I gave him a shocked reaction while looking over at him

"That's what you get for sticking your tongue at me." Darryl chuckled at my reaction.

"I'm going to get you for this!" I  said as I shook my fist at him in anger.

"I'd love you to see you try." Darryl laughed.

After he said that I jumped into the pool with my wet clothes on and hit him on  the shoulder so hard it almost turned red.

"Ow." Darryl said.

"Now that's what you get for mocking and splashing water at me." I responded as I got out of the pool very quickly.

When I got out of the pool  Darryl got out as well.

As Darryl got out of the pool he wiped himself down with a towel.

While he was drying himself down I snatched the towel out his hand and started to wipe my self down.

After I was done I just simply dropped the towel on the ground and stormed inside.

□°●°•■•BACK  IN THE HOTEL •°●■•■•
When I got inside I quickly changed my clothes thanks to Darryl splashing me with water and  while I was finished getting changed Darryl came back in.

"Dems, I'm sorry I splashed you." Darryl said apologetically.

"I'm sorry, I hit you." I replied.

"It's okay and besides I deserved it." Darryl said while  nodded his head.

"I forgive you; it's just since we came back from our walk I just don't feel well." I explained with a serious tone in my voice.

"Do you feel like you're going to throw up ?" Darryl asked with  a concerned look on his face.

"A little bit and  I think I could be possibly pregnant." I answered as a tear came down my face.

"Have you taken any pregnancy tests to know for sure ?" Darryl asked as he wiped my tears away.

"No I haven't  taken any  but I don't feel like taking any right now." I cried.

"It's  okay  that you don't want to  right now  and you could always find out tomorrow  or whenever  you're ready." Darryl said as started holding me close.

*Trigger warning: mention of depression *  ( if you feel uncomfortable  reading that part feel free to skip to the end of the chapter)

"Remember we tried  a few months before Alyssa turned four years  old and I lost the baby and I was so mad at  myself for losing the baby  that my depression acted up so badly that when I put the girls  to sleep  I'll stay  up for hours drinking a bottle of wine  but before I could finish the bottle you ran over to me  when you came home 12 am in the morning and took the bottle out of my hands ?" I asked  as more tears came down my face.

"Yes I do remember  that terrible night and when I took that bottle out of your hands we went in our room so you didn't wake the kids up and then you told me you lost the baby and you crying so much I don't think we went to bed I just held you  all night long then I told you everything is going to be okay and I said I'm here for you  honey." Darryl explained as he wiped my tears away more.

"Another thing I remember from that night was you told me I'm not mad at you about the drinking and I should never give up on myself  because we could try again when we're  ready  and you're not mad that I lost the baby and no matter if you never lost this one or that baby is  growing inside you I'm never going to give up on you no matter what because you said I will always love you no matter what." I said as more tears came down but I quickly wiped them away with  a tissue.

"Since that night I never had and even before  that I've always love you and  I never gave up on you no matter what  because  you're love of my life and you will always be." Darryl replied as he started looking into my eyes without breaking eye contact with me.

"I don't know what I'll do without you  and I'm so blessed to have you as my husband." I said as I looked up at him.

"I love you so much." Darryl replied as he put his hand through my hair.

I just gave him a shy smile.

"I'm going to get some sleep because  we are leaving this  hotel  tomorrow." I said as I walked over to the  bed  and got underneath the covers.

"Good idea." Darryl agreed as he walked over to the bed and took his shorts off and got underneath the covers with me.

"Goodnight handsome." I said as I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Before Darryl could talk he started to kiss me very passionately and  about a few minutes later we stopped.

"Goodnight beautiful." Darryl replied as I cuddled closer to him while he turned the light off.
