(Darryl's pov)
Last night was incredible and I missed having some alone time with Demi but we would of spent a romantic getaway last week if I didn't have this chaotic week at work but I'm glad that nightmare is over.

So to start this romantic week off I decided do make Demi breakfast in bed I haven't made her breakfast in bed in a very long time but I hope she loves it.

I love Demi so much and tonight I have a little suprise for her but she's not going to find out til later on today because Demi means a lot to me and I don't know what my life would be like without her.

While I was making Demi some breakfast I heard a knock on the door.

So I quickly grabbed a robe that was hanging in the bathroom and threw it on me quickly then I answered the door.

"Good morning sir; how are you and your wife enjoying your stay ?" The hotel manager asked.

"We love it here." I whispered.

"I'm sorry to interrupt but here's a flyer for tonight's ballroom event if you and your wife is intrested and also you ordered these roses yesterday." Hotel manager said as he handed me a flyer and a bouquet of roses.

"Thank you very much sir." I replied while whispering.

"No problem and hopefully we'll see you both at the ballroom tonight." Hotel manager said smiling.

"I got to get back to cooking breakfast and thank you again for stopping by." I continued to whisper.

"Goodbye." Hotel manager said as he walked away from the room.

I just gave him a friendly smile and closed the door.

"Who was that ?" Demi asked as she started to slowly wake up.

"The hotel manager." I answered with a slight sigh.

"What did he need ?" Demi questioned while trying not to look annoyed.

"He came by and gave me a flyer for the event that's going on down at the ballroom," I answered as I gave Demi the flyer.

"Hmm.. Love underneath the stars.. Sounds romantic." Demi said as she looked at the flyer.

"I don't know if you're being sarcastic or you actually like the title." I replied as I started flipping the pancakes over.

"A bit of both actually." Demi said as she put the flyer on the bedside table.

"So do you want to go to it ?" I asked with a confused look on my face.

"I kind of want to and I don't at the same time." Demi answered.

"Well, we could go just to see what it's like and besides we might have a good time tonight." I suggested as I put the pancakes on the plate.

"The thing about it is I don't have a dress and it said on the flyer to dress in formal clothing and I didn't pack any because I thought we were going to go to some fancy resturant sometime then come back here and possibly do what we did last night." Demi explained with a sigh.

"We could go shopping if you want and see if there's anything that catches your eye." I said as I grabbed the maple syrup out of the fridge.

"Right now you're the only thing that catches my eye." Demi replied while biting her lip seductively.

I just smirked at her as I poured some orange juice in the champange glass because the hotel don't have any drinking glasses.

After I got Demi's breakfast done I walked over with a fancy tray that on the table and I put a rose as little decoration on the side.

"Here you go beautiful." I said as I handed her food to her.

"Thanks handsome." Demi replied with a smile.

"You're welcome." I smiled back at her.

"Are you going to have anything to eat ?" Demi asked with a concerned tone on her face as she started eating her food.

"I'm not really hungry right now." I answered as I started making some coffee.

"Okay honey, but you should eat something later." Demi said still sounding a bit concerning.

"Don't worry honey, I will." I reassured her as I started to to turn the coffee machine on.

"I wonder how our kids are doing right now ?" Demi asked as she started to drink some orange juice.

"I think their having lots of fun with their grandparents and I gave my mom my number just in case this getaway it's cut short." I answered.

"That's a good idea that you gave your mom your number; I'm so happy I married a smart man whose very loving and caring." Demi said as she started wiping her face with the napkin.

"Well, I'm glad that I married the most beautiful woman in the world." I responded as I put some coffee in a mug.

"Thank you for the delicious breakfast, handsome." Demi said politely.

"No problem." I smiled as I started walking over to the bed.

"Where did you get the roses?" Demi asked with a confused look on her face.

"The hotel manager brought them up when you were sleeping." I answered.

"Well, the roses are beautiful." Demi smiled as she started smelling the rose.

"I'm glad you like them." I said as I put the tray of food on the counter.

"What are your plans for today ?" Demi asked as she looked up at me.

"I have no idea." I sighed in disbelief.

"I was planning on getting a shower." Demi said as she got out of bed and quickly covered herself witha robe.

"Can I join ?" I asked.

"Sure." Demi answered as I followed her to the bathroom.

"Wow, even the bathroom looks amazing." Demi said with a smile as she started to adjust the water.

"It really does look amazing." I agreed.

"I should of bought my flowery shampoo and conditioner with me." Demi sighed.

"Do you want me to go and see if the hotel may have some of the flowery stuff you use ?" I asked.

"I don't know if they would but you can go down if you want." Demi answered while trying not to sound ungrateful.

"Babe, I want to make this romantic weekend special for the both of us and I don't mind asking it's just I want you to be happy." I said with loving tone in my voice while looking into her stunning brown eyes that I fell for when I first met her.

"Honey, let's just forget the shampoo and we'll use the ones that the hotel provided us with and besides it's like we're not going to live here and you always make me happy and I love you so much." Demi explained as she started looking into my eyes.

"That's true." I smiled.

"I think the shower is good enough to get in." Demi said as she changed the subject.

After Demi said that we took our robes off and started getting into the shower.

When we got in the shower I started washing my hair while Demi was doing the same thing.

(DEMI'S POV)
About a few minutes past Darryl and I got out the shower then we started to put our robes back on.

"That was a nice shower." Darryl said with a smile.

"It really was nice." I replied.

"So what's the verdict do you want to go to the event tonight ?" Darryl asked.

"I'll go but first we need to go shopping." I answered.

"Dems, the event isn't until 7pm and the mall doesn't close until 5 so we got plenty of time." Darryl said as he started to slowly take my robe off.

"Babe, I want to get there now so I won't have to rush last minute." I replied as I noticed what he was doing.

"Okay, we'll go but after we come back from that event tonight you're going to be all mine." Darryl said as he smirked.

I just smirked back at him as I started to take my robe off and walked over to him.

"On second thought I'll wait." I smirked as I started to take his robe off.

"You're so breathtakingly beautiful." Darryl said as he admired my body.

"Love me." I whispered in his ear lovingly.

After I said that Darryl took me in his arms and gently placed me on the bed then we looked into each others eyes. Then we kissed and made passionate love.

When Darryl was kissing me all over, I couldn't help but lay back and enjoy it.

About a few hours past we finally stopped.

"I love you so much." I said with a smile as I put my hand through his hair.

"I love you too." Darryl replied as he smiled at me with love in his eyes.

"I'd love to stay here all day but we really need to catch the mall." I said while looking into his eyes.

"You're right babe; let's go." Darryl replied as he slowly got out of bed.

"Can you do me a favour pass me some clothes out of my suitcase?" I asked.

"Anything for you, the love of my life." Darryl answered as he quickly took out a bunch of clothes and placed it on the bed.

"Thanks handsome." I said as I got out of bed.

"No problem beautiful." Darryl smiled as he started to throw on a t shirt.

We quickly got changed, I combed my hair and try to cover the red marks Darryl made on my neck with some powder.

After we got ready Darryl grabbed his car keys and we started walking out of our hotel room.

Before Darryl started the car we put our seatbelts on then he drove away from the hotel and started heading to the mall.

On our way to the mall the roads were really crowded like usual and I really hope the mall isn't going to be so chaotic.

About a few minutes past we finally got to the mall and the parking lot was packed to the point where Darryl had to circle around the parking lot just to find a parking spot that didn't have a handicap sign on it.

After circling the parking lot a few times someone finally got out of their spot then Darryl quickly got to the parking spot before anyone else could.

"We are finally here." I said with a sigh of relief while taking my seatbelt off.

"Finally!" Darryl exclaimed with relief.

After I took my seatbelt I noticed I forgot my wallet.

"Damn it!" I yelled.

"What's wrong ?" Darryl asked with a confused look on his face while taking his seatbelt off.

"I left my wallet at the hotel." I answered with frustration.

"Don't worry about it Demi; I'll pay for whatever you are going to buy." Darryl reassured me.

"Honey, you really don't have to." I said with a sigh.

"Babe, let me do this and it's not a big deal because sometimes when Liv and I go out for lunch I forget to bring my wallet because me being a idiot I left it in my desk drawer then Liv ends up paying for all of it but she doesn't mind doing it so what I'm trying to say is you pick out anything you would like to wear to the event tonight and I'll pay for it and you don't have to pay me back." Darryl explained while looking over at me.

"So just like the time we met when you offered me a coffee after you fixed my tire and my life was literally falling apart?" I asked while trying not to cry.

"Exactly and that part about your life falling apart at the time that nightmare is finally over and you'll never have to feel that way ever again." Darryl answered as he pulled me in for a hug.

"You're right and we should catch the mall before it closes." I said as I let go of him.

Darryl just nodded his head in agreement.

We both got out of the car as fast as we could and started walking over to the mall.

When we got inside we quickly walked away from the food court and started walking  towards the escalator where all the clothing stores are.

As we got off the escalator both of us walked to the closest formal shop we could find.

The formal shop we went to was so big it had a lot of beautiful dresses and accessories it looked a wedding threw up but without the church and the priest.

Darryl and I walked in and started looking around most of the dresses were more for weddings and funerals but then I came across this stunning red dress.

"Hey honey, I think I found something." I said as I took the dress off the rack and held it up against me.

"Wow, that dress looks beuatiful; you should go try it on." Darryl suggested with a smile.

"Okay!" I exclaimed as I started walking to unoccupied changing room.

After a few minutes of struggling trying to zipper the dress up I finally got the dress on me.

"What do you think?" I asked as I walked out of the changing room.

Darryl said nothing his mouth seemed like it was going to drop to the floor.

"Well ?" I asked.

"You look gorgeous." Darryl answered.

"Thanks." I blushed.

"I wonder if the dress comes with matching shoes." Darryl wondered.

"Woah, don't go to crazy with it; we are only here to buy this dress then we going back to our hotel and getting ready for the event." I said with a serious tone in voice as I walked back into the changing room and took the dress off.

"I know but it would be cool if it did." Darryl replied while waiting for me to come out of the changing room.

"Although I'm going to buy shoes but I don't want you to spend alot of money." I said as I got out of the changing room.

"Dems, don't worry about me spending a lot of me it's just I want you to be happy and that your loving husband who loves and cares for you deeply wants to treat his wife by letting her buy anything she wants just to make her happy." Darryl explained as I started looking for shoes.

"I'm sorry it's just it has been a while since we shopped just for me and that's why I'm in this semi bitchy mood today," I replied.

Before Darryl can talk I finally found a pair of black and white dot high heels.

"Its okay honey, I will still love you no matter what mood your in." Darryl said.

I just smiled at him.

After I got my dress and shoes I walked over to the cashier and let her scan the items while Darryl waited for the cashier to tell him how much it cost.

"Your total is: $126.20." The cashier said as she handed me the bag.

After the cashier said that Darryl took out his credit card and put into the machine.

When the machine said approved he took the card out while the cashier handed him the receipt.

"Have a good day." The cashier said with a soft smile.

"You too." I replied as we headed out of the store.

"Is there anywhere else do you want to shop at before we go back to the hotel ?" Darryl asked.

"Nope I'm satisfied with what I have." I answered as we made our back up the escalator.

After we got off the esclator we quickly got out of the mall and headed straight to the car.

"Now all we have to do now is get ready and go the event." Darryl said as he put his seatbelt on.

"Yup." I replied as I put my seatbelt on.

After we had our seatbelts on Darryl started to drive away from the mall and in about a few minutes we finally made it back to the hotel.

When we got inside we quickly walked back to our hotel room without the hotel manager asking where we went.

"It's insane that we finally got back just a few hours before this event starts." I said as I started to take all of my clothes off.

"I can't believe it either." Darryl replied as he started to take his shirt and pants off.

" Do you think it's weird that we're changing in the same room together ?" I asked as I put my dress on.

"I don't think it's weird because we both seen each other naked before and I'm here to help you with your dress." Darryl answered.

"I was just wondering because usually when we're home I'll go up to our bedroom and get ready while you wait for me then I do the same for you when you need to get ready." I explained as I walked over to him so he can zipper up my dress.

"But I don't mind waiting for you because when you come out of the room back at home and you look amazing but tonight you look absolutely gorgeous." Darryl said as he zipped up my dress.

"You look very handsome tonight." I replied as I started to put some strawberry lipstick.

"That smell brings back so many beautiful memories." Darryl said as he could inhale the smell from the lipstick tube when I opened it.

"It does bring back memories and I only brought it with me because I know how much you love the smell and taste of it when I kiss you." I responded as I put my lipstick back in my suitcase.

"The flowery perfume you wears smells incredible and it gives me memories from our wedding day." Darryl said with a smile as he started to put his dress pants on.

"Oh really ?" I asked with a confused look on my face.

"I remember it very vividly, you were walking down the isle with my father and when I looked over at you when you walked I could smell it and I felt hooked then when we kissed after our vowes I knew you were wearing your strawberry lipstick and now everytime I smell the lipstick or the perfume our wedding cones in mind." Darryl explained as he started to put his white buttoned up shirt on.

After Darryl said that I started to get a little emotional.

"I'm sorry for getting emotional." I said as I grabbed a tissue from the table.

"I didn't mean to make you cry honey; I'm sorry." Darryl replied as he held me close.

"Babe, it's okay it's just I never had someone say something that meaningful before." I said as my tears went away while I was wiping them with the tissue.

"Are you ready to go ?" Darryl asked as he let go of me as he grabbed his tux jacket.

"Not yet just need to put my shoes on." I answered as I took them out of the box.

"Do you want help; my lady ?" Darryl asked as he got down on one knee as if he was proposing.

"Sure." I answered with a smile.

As Darryl was putting my shoe on my foot I felt like I was Cinderella and I was going to the ball.

"Here you are my queen." Darryl said as he got off the floor.

"Thank you my love." I replied as I got off the bed.

After I got off the bed Darryl took my hand and we started walking out of the hotel room and started heading downstairs to the event.

When we got inside it was beautiful and it looked like it came out of a romantic movie.

"This place looks beautiful." I said with a smile.

"It does look beautiful." Darryl agreed as we started walking towards a table.

When we got our table we sat down in our seats then we waited for our waiter to come.

"I'm so excited to dance with you." I said as I started looking into his eyes.

"Me too." Darryl replied smiling as he started holding my hand.

Before I could talk a man who looked a little bit like Darryl approached us with a woman who looked about a few years older than me.

"Darryl ?" The man asked as looked at Darryl's face.

"James?" Darryl questioned with wide smile on his face as he got up from his chair.

After that they hugged each other as if they were best friends.

"Man, you haven't changed since the last time I seen you little bro." James said as he grabbed a table and joined it together with ours.

"Little bro ?" I asked with a confused look on my face.

After I asked that question Darryl and James sat down then the woman that James is with sat down next to him.

"Yes Dems, James and I are brothers." Darryl answered with a smile.

"That's cool." I smiled.

"James, I would like to introduce you to my wife Demi." Darryl said still smiling.

"Nice to meet you Demi." James replied as he stuck out  his hand  so I can shake it.

I just smiled at him while shaking his hand.

"Who's this woman next to you ?" Darryl asked.

"This my girlfriend Holly." James answered.

"Nice to meet you Holly." Darryl and I said together.

"Since we all know each other now, little bro; I'm sorry that I didn't even show up at your wedding I should've of been there." James explained with disappointed look on his face.

"I forgive you and I know back then I was so mad at you that I literally cut you out of my life then here we are now five years later and we finally made up." Darryl said.

"Since Emily died you're the only one I have left to count on." James replied with a serious tone in his voice.

"For now on we'll always have each others backs." Darryl said as he gave his brother a hug.

While they were hugging a waiter came by.

"Hello ladies and gentlemen; what would you like to order tonight?" The waiter asked as he interrupted the brotherly hug.

"I'll have the stuffed chicken breast with a baked potato and green beans." James said as he waited for everyone else to order.

"I'll have the same thing." Darryl replied,

"Honey, you hate green beans." I chimed in with a serious tone in my voice.

"I forgot about that I'll have the same thing he's having without the green beans." Darryl said firmly.

"Okay then; what would the ladies like to order?" The waiter asked as he wrote down Darryl's and James' orders.

"I'll just have the cesasar salad." Holly answered.

"I'll have spaghetti." I said with a smile.

"Alrighty then I'll be back with your meals in a few minutes." The waiter responded as he wrote mine and Holly's order.

We just smiled at him.

"So; Are you guys planning on dancing tonight?" James asked.

"We might dance to a few songs because Demi and I are having our late wedding anniversary weekend because I was working on our wedding anniversary." Darryl answered with a sigh.

"You're still working with the LAPD?" James asked.

"Yes I am I have been working there for almost seven years now." Darryl answered.

"I have been working with with New York fire department for about two years now." James said.

"I didn't know you we're working with the fire department." Darryl replied with an amazed look on his face.

"Well, I was working for the longest time down at the comic book store then I got sick of that so I decided to go back to school and do something with my life so then I decided to be firefighter and the job is unbelievable." James explained while he started to drink his alcoholic beverage.

"I'm proud of you bro, and thank you for your service." Darryl said a he gave his brother a fist bump.

"I should be thanking you for service to because you been putting away criminals, murderers and God who knows what other sick people you put away and you have been saving the world and I'm glad you thought about being a cop at the age eighteen." James explained as he gave his brother a fist bump back.

"Well, I thank you both for your services because you both risk your own lives just to save others and I'm very proud of you both; so cheers to both of you!" I exclaimed with a smile on my face as I grabbed my champagne glass and raised it up so everyone else could clink their glasses together.

"Cheers." Darryl, James and Holly said together as they clincked their glasses against mine.

After that we all sat down and started drinking our bevarges.

"The ring on your finger is really beautiful." Holly said with a smile as she noticed my wedding ring.

"Thanks." I replied smiling back at her.

"Why can you get me a ring like that?" Holly asked facing James with pout look on her face.

"Babe, we've talked about this." James answered trying not to be annoyed.

"You guys aren't ready for the big step yet ?" Darryl asked.

"No, we're not it's just we have been only dating for about a year and In my opinion I'm not ready." James answered.

Before Darryl could talk the food finally arrived.

"Here you go ladies and gentlemen." The waiter said as he came in with a cart with the food on it.

The waiter handed everyone the food they ordered we all thanked him before he went away with the cart.

After we got our food we didn't talk very much. The food was so delicious none of us wanted to talk.

When everyone was done eating we put our plates a side and waited for the waiter to come back so he can get our plates.

"Wow. that was delicious." I said as I wiped my mouth off with a napkin.

"It really was." Darryl agreed as he smiled at me.

"I couldn't agree with you more my brother, I haven't felt so full in my life." James chuckled.

"The salad was pretty good." Holly said as she she started to drink her beverage.

"If anyone one of us decides to go dancing we should wait until our stomachs are settled because trust me I learned the hard way." I replied trying not to laugh.

"Trust me babe, I know what it was like." Darryl said trying not to laugh.

"Tell us what happened." James replied.

"Well, it started about 4 years ago I was at your parents house with Darryl and we wanted to go dance in the rain because we just made up after a huge fight we had back home and then when we stopped dancing I literally threw up all over the front seat of the car and it was so embarrassing it also doesn't help I was pregnant." I explained with a giggle.

"I would talk more about it but we just finished eating and all I got to say it was gross." Darryl said trying not to remember that day.

"It sounds gross." James replied.

"Someday we should all hang out for a family barbeque this summer." I said with a smile.

"That would be awesome but James has this training camp for beginners in June and he's not coming back until maybe September." Holly sighed.

"What day in June do you have to leave?" Darryl asked with a confused look on his face.

"June 10th." James answered with a sigh.

"We could have it before you leave." I suggested.

"That would be great!" James said with a smile.

"On that day you'll meet your nieces." Darryl replied with a smile.

"You too have kids ?" James asked with a confused tone in his voice.

"Yes, we do but the oldest was from Demi's previous marriage and the youngest is almost five years old." Darryl answered.

"Wow, it seems like I have been out of your life forever." James said.

Before I could talk the hotel manager came on stage.

"Good evening everyone, it's nice to see you all here tonight we're ready to start the dance so grab your partners and start dancing." The hotel manager said speaking into a microphone while interrupting my thoughts.

"Come on James; let's dance!" Holly exclaimed as she grabbed her boyfriend's hand and dragged him towards the dance floor.

"Do you want to dance ?" I asked with a smile.

"I'd love to." Darryl answered as he started to get out of the chair.

After Darryl got out his chair we started walking to the dance floor.

"I didn't think the first song that they would play is a slow song." I said with a confused tone in my voice.

"It's probably because of theme of the event and they want to play the slow songs first then eventually play the up beat ones." Darryl explained as he put his arms around my waist.

"You're probably right." I said.

"I know I haven't told you this tonight but you look beautiful tonight." Darryl replied lovingly while looking into my eyes.

"Thanks honey." I said with a soft smile.

"This romantic weekend with you is one of the best I've ever had in a long time." Darryl responded as he started to spin me around.

"I'm having a wonderful time with you and I love you so much." I said as Darryl stopped spinning me.

After I said that he pulled me close then we started to kiss very passionately.

"If we are going to leave this we better pay for our meal." I whispered.

Before Darryl could say something his brother interrupted his thoughts.

"Where you too love birds going ?" James asked looking over at us.

"We are going back to our hotel room." Darryl answered as he took his wallet out of his pocket and put some money on the table for our meal.

"Alright then, it was nice seeing you again my brother and it was nice meeting you Demi." James said with a friendly tone in his voice.

"Bye man." Darryl replied as he gave his brother a fist bump.

"Bye little bro." James said as he continued to dance with his girlfriend.

After we left the ballroom we started to walk back to our hotel room.

"Dems?" Darryl asked with a serious look on his face.

"Yes." I answered as I started to take my shoes off.

"There's something been on my mind lately." Darryl said still looking serious.

"What is it ?" I asked with a concerned tone in my voice.

"Since the day we met did you think I was this guy who would be another verison of Nick?" Darryl questioned.

"Darryl, when I met you the first thing I thought about was you were a nice guy helping me with a flat tire and you were very friendly but when we got into a relationship my mind was thinking he's going to break your heart like Nick did but I didn't follow my thoughts I followed my heart because you love me for me not just for someone to have sex with like Nick did and when I kissed you for the very first time I was in love and Nick never came back into my head because you've been there for me when I needed the most, you love me like there's no one else in this world but us and you're the most amazing, caring loving man I've ever fell in love with and I never regret the day I first met you." I explained looking into his eyes.

"Don't forget the most handsomest man you've ever fell in love with." Darryl said with a chuckle.

"I know you're handsome but I didn't marry you just because you were good looking it's because you have a beautiful personality and I admired you the most for it." I replied with a smile.

"I love you so much Dems." Darryl said as he put his arms around me.

"I love you too babe." I replied as I kissed him on the cheek.

After I kissed his cheek while  taking my dress off and walked over to the bed.

When I got into bed Darryl took his clothes off and walked over to the bed.

"Goodnight beautiful." Darryl said as he started to get underneath the covers.

After I got underneath the covers I started to kiss him more.

"Goodnight handsome." I replied with a loving smile as I cuddled next to him.

When I cuddled next to Darryl he turned off the bedroom light and started to hold me tight.

Hi guys this is chapter 8 of for my broken heart I'm  sorry  that it's long but I'll try my best to make shorter chapters as the book continues.

I just wanted to add a new character to the book because I thought it would be different if Darryl reuinted with a relative that he hasn't spoken too in years.
